We have a jam-packed agenda for our meeting this Thursday February 1. Here are some of the highlights.
Anti-semitism Resolution — a Madison Imam recently called for the murder of all Jews. In response, I authored 2023 Res 314 which will be voted on at our meeting this week. There are efforts to stop the resolution including this substitute amendment that would essentially gut the resolution.
Indigenous People Day (AKA Columbus Day) — 2023 RES-239 would give county employees a paid holiday for “Indigenous People Day” or previously referred to as Columbus Day.
BIPOC Mental Health Coalition — 2023 Res 278 would award $135,000 to RISE Wisconsin Inc. to establish and develop a Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Mental Health Coalition.
New Language on County Board Agendas — 2023 Res 303 would add the following language to all County Board Agendas. “This meeting is being conducted on land now known and recognized as Dane County, Wisconsin. We acknowledge that this land is at the same time the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary land of the Ho-Chunk, Sauk and Kickapoo nations.”
Tell the supervisors they are driving you crazy, that before it was Dane County this land was New France, and that they shouldn’t piss off the Italians!
Got ‘Whiteness’?

Knox College professor Jennifer McCarthy Foubert lists “critical race theory” as one of her specialties. She reaches out from bucolic Galesburg IL to mine Madison’s legion of guilty white parents.

The Madison public schools dating game
Former Mayor Dave Cieslewicz (pronounced as spelled) beat Blaska to the punch. The apostate former Democrat vetted the three finalists for superintendent of Madison’s public schools. His verdict, boiled down:
Yvonne Stokes is all about “racial equity.” Served for only two years as superintendent of a suburban Indianapolis school district before she resigned last September, perhaps under pressure from the school board.
Mohammed Choudhury has a background very much like Stokes, only he’s more abrasive. He also served only two years as a superintendent.
Joe Gothard comes with no baggage that Mayor Dave could find. He has served as superintendent for the St. Paul, Minnesota district, a district larger than Madison, since 2017. He was named Minnesota Superintendent of the Year last year and is currently under consideration for the national honor with the same title. Grew up in Madison, taught at La Follette.
Assault on Act 10
The teachers union in far away Abbotsford WI has brought suit before the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission challenging — you guessed it! — Act 10. The WI Institute for Law & Liberty is on the case but this is headed to Janet (spell it with me) Protasiewicz’s supreme court.
Blaska’s Bottom Line handicap on Bachelor #3: Gothard is CORRECTION: bi-racial 1) white; b) Male; iii) apparently unWoke, and • ) won’t be hired. But he IS bald! Let the Madison school board know you want him, anyway.

If they are going to change Columbus Day to Indigenous People Day and make it a holiday for government employees then only Indigenous government employees should get the day off. In the name of DEI all Whites should abdicate their jobs for Indigenous people.

There are lots of ways to waste one’s time, but applying for any position in Madison/Dane County if you have Mr. Gothard’s anti-woke credentials is near the top of the list. I wonder if they told him beforehand that he was the token WM or if he was left to figure it out for himself. It must have gotten around in the world of higher-level public school administrators that getting hired by MMSD is the perfect springboard to a tenured position at Harvard. Just put in a couple of years, screw things up royally, then it’s off to spend your time “theorizing” about education instead of actually enabling it.

What is it with these academic AA/diversity hires…are they completely incapable of doing their own work? Can they not make it on their own merit without despicable White Guilt suffocated Lefties putting a ham fist on the scale?
Think a coupla hundred (at the very least!) seat-filling, deep six figure salaried, AA/diversity pedants are currently sweating bullets, with tightening sphincters, dreading that the fact-based Reality is on the trail and closing in?
Picture a Berlin Wall type of reckoning: DIE crumbling, in real time, under the oppressive weight of its absurd perversity while Lefty looks on in The Scream horror.

To reply to your queries in the third-to-last paragraph: 1) No, they aren’t capable of doing their own work, and why should they be? They know full well that despite a third-rate resume, they’ve got the trump card: they’re the “right” mix of DEI qualifications, starting (and usually ending) with race. 2) No, they can’t make it on their own merit, so they count on that “boost” from guilty white liberals, who aren’t really concerned with finding the best qualified candidates; what counts to them is being able to tick the right boxes: race, gender, sexual orientation, disability status, etc., etc. I suspect the unwritten rule for hiring someone to fill a top-level position is “Find the person who fits the ideal DEI profile, then count on his/her/their better-qualified underlings to pick up the slack.”

I hope the authorities are keeping a close watch on this jihadist imam a-hole. People who publicly preach violence like this would almost certainly act on it if given the chance. Progressives bleat endlessly about the overblown threat of white supremacists but ignore real threats like this, as evidenced in the substitute amendment.
