What shame? Disrupters are proud of F-bombing the school board

Dispatches from the War on Cops / the Madison front

Today we’re picking some of the better representative comments from seven sources to the Chaos in the Classroom and Cops Out of School nonsense of the past week.

Ann of Althouse1) At Ann’s Althouse:  About Blaska being shouted down at a school board committee meeting, one of Ann’s readers suggested “Somebody set up a database where people doing this type of protesting are recorded with video. Basically public shaming.” Another reader named “Rick” countered:

How could this be effective? You can’t rely on their personal shame because they’re proud of this behavior. You can’t use public displeasure because they live and work in institutions (academia, government, NGOs) which value and support this behavior. In fact for many this activity is essentially a job interview. The most radical left wingers get the plum jobs.

Bill Ayers didn’t get a job high in the Illinois education bureaucracy despite being a left-wing terrorist, he got it because he is a left-wing terrorist.

Duerst Wuerst2) We thank Duerst the Wuerst for recording video of Wednesday’s disruption. At Duerst’s site, gurugeorge asks, “Why isn’t security just throwing out these disruptive hooligans?” Your very own Squire responded:

“What Security? The school board is trying to get rid of security. That is the purpose of this committee!”

Miss Vicki3) Our Ms Vicki McKenna was clearly outraged Thursday on ClearChannel 1310’s AM airwaves — and showed it. By the heckling and chanting, sure, but more by the deference chairman Dean Loumos showed to the disrupters. So were her call-ins. Access the podcast here.

4) On frustrated teacher Karen Vieth’s blog,  Patrick Loudoun comments:

I would love to offer you a solution, but given that the district is in Madison, I might as well address a gathering of squirrels.

I know you would like to think you are good teachers. You aren’t. I know you say the kids come first. They clearly don’t. I’m not exactly sure how adults could fall for this liberal claptrap, but you have.

Every one of you went through Middle School. Every one of you knows what needs to be done. And none of you will do it? “Restorative circles”? Are you kidding? Kids that age are natural agitators. They can smell fear. They know they are in charge, and you let it happen.

Facebook logo5) On Facebook, unreconstructed liberal Ken Carson taunts the police failure at Parkland, Florida: “so much for good guys with guns …when the going gets tough they hide.”

Blaska countered with “School Resource Officer Stopped School Shooting, Authorities Say” at Dixon, Illinois, and “Maryland school officer stops armed student who shot 2 others,” in Maryland. All just this spring semester.

Carson countered:

“Would you like me to post all the links where additional guns didn’t work? There will be a lot more.”

David Blaska responded:

“Only if I can post all the times Ted Williams didn’t get a hit in 1941.”

6) At the Stately Manor, Gary Kriewald observed:

Any rational person would be embarrassed by the antics of the BLM thugs and their SJW comrades, but given the masochistic mentality of the guilty white liberals on the Madison school board, I suspect they welcomed the turmoil. Being the brunt of these folks’ rage is what they feel they deserve for being in charge of a system riddled with institutionalized racism. If anything, the experience probably gave them the sort of psycho-sexual thrill they can’t get any other way.

7) Live and in the moment Wednesday evening at the Madison School Board’s Get the Cops Out committee: Blaska was recounting how 18 police responded to a brawl February at La Follette H.S. that injured two students and a teacher. Anti-cop activist Nino Rodriquez shouted out: “Why didn’t they prevent it?”

Undaunted, Blaska related the police officer who disarmed a student carrying a loaded handgun February 21, also at La Follette.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: “Why didn’t they prevent it?”!!! One may as well ask how much influenza does vaccination prevent? Is this the kind of logic the school board will swallow? And does the Madison school board really want this issue facing them at a full board meeting in the auditorium at Doyle Admin Bldg.?

Tell our Madison school board to stop the nonsense!

Have a sunny weekend!

As for Ms. Vicki’s faux outrage, hopefully she didnt hit a cop again when she got fake mad.

As for Kens FB…sure you can post a every time ted williams didnt get a hit but your under 5 examples of SRO stopping things in a school is not equivalent to Ted Williams hits…..Your more like Might Casey…..

As for the guy who rips on restorative circles….curious as to how much research he has done on that? Im guessing about as much as you.

Loved when you said , “This behavior is whats happening in our classsrooms” have anything to back that up with?

I also laugh at the pure hypocrisy when you say we need to listen to the teachers but yet you spent 8 years and constant legislation and ripping on them in public because they want a voice.

yet you think AVT10 has nothing to do with this…..

    Still hilarious…….

JS: You wonder where kids get the idea that shouting someone down is the way to get what they want. Seriously? They get that idea where most kids get their ideas: from what they see happening in their homes. It’s bad enough that their parents (or more likely parent) model this toxic behavior, but when schools give them a free pass for the same kind of behavior, something is definitely wrong with the system–and i’m not talking about institutional racism, I’m talking about an abandonment of responsibility on the part of pretty much every adult–parents, teachers, administrators–who ought to be shaping these kids’ characters in positive ways. Sadly, there’s not much that can be done to change their dysfunctional home life, but schools should at least offer them an alternative to that behavior by teaching them the values that will help them overcome their bad beginnings: self-discipline, respect for authority, personal responsibility. Alas, the policies they’re subjected to in Madison’s schools are designed to teach just the opposite: aggrievement, victimhood, and disrespect for those tasked with their education. Kids are smart enough to know when the deck is stacked in their favor and eager to exploit that advantage by testing the limits. So far, it seems, there are no limits in Madison’s schools as long as the current pack of pusillanimous liberals remain in charge.

Jeff Simpson, you have the gall to come back here and ask Blaska to back up his assertions while you didn’t even dare to respond to his direct challenge to you? You called Dave a racist. He called you out. You ran away and hid.

Are you going to back it up? Are you going to retract the slur and apologize? Or are you going to just pretend it didn’t happen?

By the way, it’s “shout” not “should,” it’s “You’re” not “Your,” it’s “Mighty Casey” not “Might Casey” and it was “ACT 10” not “AVT 10.”

The board made several mistakes at that meeting. At the start the chair should have warned the crowd about any outbursts. I would rather have Baldwin than Lyin’ Ryan any day. The family values guy; sitting in a dark room, afraid to say anything about what trump is doing to families. The image on the cover of TIME perfectly encapsulates the Left’s cynically orchestrated response to the latest immigration “crisis.” Sentimentality, melodrama, and media hysteria (which “reporter” can chew the most scenery on-air?) are presented as rational argument. Seems odd that liberals can’t get behind a zero-tolerance policy since they consistently show zero-tolerance for anyone who doesn’t share their toxic worldview. Trump’s policy makers should have heeded the advice of W. C. Field (I think it was) who said that you should never share the stage with kids or animals.

When you commit a crime and are detained, you will be separated from your children. Shocker! There is an astonishingly easy way to avoid this situation. You simply don’t try to sneak into a country you have no right to to be in with your kids in tow.

There are a couple of options as to why people do this. First, they are simply too stupid to connect A to B. Second, being detained and temporarily separated from their children is not that big an issue for them. Third, and most likely, is that they are using their children as human grappling hooks to get into the country.

I do have to say though it’s been hysterical watching the media and lefties pretend that these children are being shipped off to the gas chambers. All the while conveniently ignoring the fact they willingly put their families in this situation. The Time cover this week was the best example of that. Facts be damned, we have a narrative to construct!

And when you’re caught your dumb ass is detained, you and your kid are processed, and you’re separated from your child while they figure out whether or not they are even yours. If you want to try to stay in the country legally you’ll probably be separated even longer (something that could have been avoided had your lame ass applied for asylum at a port of entry before you tried sneaking in, but you didn’t because you’re an economic migrant and an not really an asylum seeker.)

This whole mess could be avoided if we just chucked them back across the border when when they’re caught. Simply don’t allow illegals any options, give them a snack pack, a bottle of water and a boot in the ass back to the correct side of the border.

Act 10 protests are now on a national level, but without good-natured Walker because the nice guy schtick doesn’t work in Washington. You got crazy Maxine stoking the fires, fake Time magazine photos, Steve Scalise shooting, Nazis/racists bugaboos on MSNBC/CNN, and an investigation going nowhere like Walker’s secret server/John Doe II. Meanwhile, Trump is doing what the voters hired him to do – North Korea, tax cuts, border wall, Supreme Court justice(s). With all the scaremongering and hate propaganda in the MSM (do you deny that 90% of news stories are negative on Trump – oh noes, he deserves it), you guys and your ilk are setting up a very scared/frightened Republican electorate who are going to womp-womp on your muh blue wave because they are tired of being denigrated for having a different take on how things should be in this country. Truth is we’ve not had a trade war, just an abject surrender. The USA is the largest, wealthiest market on the planet yet Canada gets a 270% tariff on US dairy products so five monopolistic dairy combines charge Canadians 40% more than we pay for a gallon of milk. The trade imbalances with Mexico, China etc etc. are stunning. We exported our manufacturing base, allowed Europe to starve its military, because we lost the trade war. Slap the same tariff on Germany that they put on our cars and BMW will have to build more cars in Greenville SC and bingo! no tariff. NAFTA has pumped tons of dollars into Mexico and it remains a s@#thole. TPP was so bad it had to be kept secret.
Turn about is Fair Trade. You ding us to protect some political interest, we charge you the same. Who is the bigger market and economy? Russia? China? Germany? Japan?
