Kamala Harris is getting grief for revealing in her book, Nothing Comes to Mind 107 Days, why she passed on Pete Buttigieg as her running mate. A ticket of a black woman and a gay man might be a bridge too far for this racist, misogynist, homophobic country.
The poor dear is getting it from both sides now, Judy Collins. The commanding heights of the Democrat(ic) party hisses this black female woman is not sufficiently DEI. The few remaining blue dogs counter: Too Woke! The rest of us are cackling about chickens coming home to roost. Joe Biden, after all, chose Lady Kamala precisely because of gender and melanin. Said so himself. Even with Trump as an opponent, voters quailed on electing an affirmative action hire.
Almost a year later, Atlantic magazine frets that “Party leaders know they need to moderate on cultural issues to win back working-class voters — so why don’t they?”
Blame White Man
Because guilt-trippers still control the party of grievance. Arguing for a pay raise to $15,000 from the current $8,000/year, Madison school board member Savion Castro groused that school boards are structured for “older, whiter, wealthier folks.” Fattening member take-home pay will valorize marginalized worthies like himself.
Savion’s exercise in class warfare may be age-ist, racist, stupid, and wrong but it gets him elected. Of the seven members, not one qualifies for AARP, four are racial minorities, two are disabled, none are wealthy. (What explains the Left’s bias against success?) Mr. Castro, age 31, is the only one who “identifies” (in today’s identity-obsessed parlance) as male.
Come to think, Madison politics is dominated by women: county exec, Madison mayor (and gay, to boot), the city’s legislative delegation. Sheriff, district attorney, school superintendent — black. None are “loaded,” as they say in Fargo. We care not except that all are monochromatically progressive. So much for diversity!

Statewide, Democrats continue to fetishize diversity, equity, and inclusion. Only one Democrat (Russell Goodwin out of Milwaukee), joined Republicans voting for a bill requiring transgender students to play on teams reflecting their birth gender. Gov. Tony Evers, a Democrat, vetoed a similar bill passed only with Republican votes in April 2024. We enter into the record this lamentation from The Atlantic:
Following the 2024 presidential election, Democrats seemed to be in rare agreement: They had moved too far to the left on cultural issues … The day after Kamala Harris lost … Representative Seth Moulton of Massachusetts told The New York Times, “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.” …

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Has it been 33 years that a decidedly unWoke Democrat, Bill Clinton, chose as his running mate another Bubba from next-door Tennessee? And got elected! Unapologetic alpha males — black, white, and brown — are reclaiming their dignity under Donald Trump — an old, white, hetero-normative male, rich as Croesus! As for useful idiots like Kammy and Savion — this Bud Light’s for you!

As an “older”, whiter“, (not wealthy), folk (and I’ll throw in male, hetero, Jew), I find Castro’s statement profoundly racist, bigoted, ageist, sexist, and unintelligent to a degree that it’s unbelievable someone in Madison would say that. NOBODY, even 1 lone millimeter to the right of progressive Dane, can get away with a statement full of prejudice like that.

The old white guys having been turning a blind eye to all trump’s BS and using the left as your excuse for accepting the mess we are in is pure laziness. As of today, he claims to have ended 8 wars. In places not on any maps. Made deals that don’t exist. Sent a slip and fall lawyer with zero experience after Comey and attacked the judge today. Chance of winning? ZERO. Just fodder for Maga. If Senor Castro hasn’t changed his pronouns yet, it’s only a matter of time before the other board members p***y-whip him into submission. But then again, it’s only appropriate for the school board to be dominated by women. After all, the education system in this country from kindergarten to graduate school is thoroughly feminized, and enrollment at nearly every college and university is 60% women to 40% men. And yet we’re constantly told that women are still marginalized and victimized. No wonder so many boys are dropping out of school as soon as they’re able. Why should they stay somewhere that treats them like second-class citizens and lectures them on their toxic masculinity?
The school superintendent is white.
