The Bret Baier interview with Kamala Harris that flickered over our b&w Philco Wednesday evening 10-16-24 should have been narrated ringside by Don Dunphy. It was more debate than interview, with the newsman a surrogate for Trump. The Democrat(ic) contender had to cover up when asked to justify the illegal immigration disaster. She took a mandatory ten count on taxpayer-paid sex changes for criminals. (Never under-estimate the culture; it moves voters!)
When you parry with “I’ll follow the law,” it means you would like to change the law. Baier missed a haymaker by not hitting her with the Biden/Harris college debt bail-outs.
Ms. Harris is boxed in. Can you drop Joe Biden to the mat given that she remains his veep? Here’s a What If? Could she say, “I told the man we should hold on to Bagram AFB in Afghanistan but would he listen?” Is it political suicide or refreshing honesty to admit:
“Yes, we made mistakes on the border. That’s obvious now. You know what? When we recognize a mistake we fix it.”
Except that Kamala Harris likes open borders, the issue just doesn’t poll well with voters. Baier asked K when she first noticed that Uncle Joe was daft. She answered he isn’t, then pivoted nicely to call the roster of high-level Trump officials who have taken the cure. (Go ahead, call Mike Pence, Gen. Jack Kelly, and Gen. H.R. McMaster “RINOs.”)

Two things we hate
(O.K., we don’t hate) … two things we intensively dislike about political discourse:
1) Candidates who filibuster
2) Interviewers who interrupt
Both were on display during the Baier/Kamala interview. Brett Baier, who is (indeed) fair, asked tough questions but he started out belligerent. Kudos to Ms. Harris for holding her ground and demanding to finish an answer. Baier even attempted to trap Kamala into calling Trump voters “stupid.” She didn’t fall for it.
The news media narrative — even on some pro-Harris platforms like CNN — was that their candidate tripped over softball interviews from the ladies of The View. Say this, however, K stood up to Fox News. As much as substance matters in a debate or an interview, so does style.
Is the party advocating no response?
Kamala Harris took on Fox News but seven Wisconsin Republican candidates can’t handle the League of Women Voters questionnaire? Starting with Eric Hovde and down through the congressional and legislative candidates! Their questions are too tough? We understand it’s a League of Liberal Women Voters of Dane County. But candidates should be able to manage legitimate questions about redistricting, school funding, and yes, abortion. How hard is it to answer, “My opponent supports ending the child’s life at the moment of birth. I don’t.” At least answer the first question, “What are your priorities?” Or have you none?
Maybe they didn’t get the memo. Is there a memo? Blaska’s memo is this: voters don’t like to be stiffed.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Now let’s see Trump take an interview on MSNBC! If he can’t handle Rachel Maddow … J.D. Vance could do it; the man floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Writes an elegy like a hillbilly. Trump is the Bayonne Bleeder.

tRump says he demands loyalty. That’s what Harris showed by not throwing Biden under the bus. Dumbald even cancelled an event with the NRA. You couldn’t find a friendlier crowd unless you gave an anti-abortion speech at the Vatican. Harris showed up and debated with Baier. You can always go to a Dumbald tRump rally and watch him sway to the music while the crowd walks out. Out of all the D-Bags on Faux I like Baier the most. As the (interview???) went on he discovered she wasn’t going to fold and finished the show with most of his dignity intact.
People were complaining about Harris not going to the Al Smith dinner. Turned out to be a smart move. DonBag tRump stated tossed so many rude comments and insults around that the crowd, at times, started to boo him. Presidential? Voting for me now? I bet Hannity won’t say anything about that.
Poor Kacklin’ Kamala is unable to think on her feet even while she’s sitting down. This finds irredeemably ignorant morons (AKA career Lefties) in full panic mode as despicable Lefty is increasingly unable to hide her comical Didn’t Earn It ineptitude.

NOW: Bailey (after reading the full dossier with additional allegations, WHICH_THE_NYT_WITHHELD!) says the “CASE IS MORE SERIOUS THAN I COMMENTED TO THE NYT.”

You must have watched an edited version of the Fox interview, Squire. The version I saw showed Harris to be a complete idiot and vacuous. Not to mention her handlers doing the “ice the kicker” move and asking for the interview to be stopped.
Disagree with almost all her stands, as likely do you. But that doesn’t make her an idiot. She pivoted to her talking points as much as possible and fought back against Baier’s interruptions. That takes skill.
Parroting the Dems talking points qualifies as “skill”? I’m guessing you weren’t on your high school’s debate team.
On a debate team, you often have to take a position that you disagree with.

Baier looked like someone set his yard sign on fire when Harris told him he played the wrong news clip. Called out on stage and then it took him 24 hours admit they screwed up. Typical faux news; looking the fool in front of 8 million people. When you’re doing an interview with her you better have your ducks in a row and your BS in a can.
You know what Blaska yearns for? A blog that doesn’t result in a back and forth between Lesiak and Gotch. Pick your spots, fellows.
We all see and hear and interpret this interview and charity dinners differently. She answered the questions with words but those words gave no real answers because she is a complete empty headed vessel whom will get millions of votes from many empty headed people. There is no way he wins or is inaugarated in january “the most expansive voter fraud” machine will guarantee this outcome.
His catholic charity dinner speech was sharp, funny, pointed, nasty at times, even to the point the emcee jim gaffigan had to cover his smile and turn his head to hide his laughter. He delivered punchline after punchline and heard much laughter , some groans maybe a few boos but in the way he only knows how to deliver and in a crowd full of nyc liberals, the lions den, he made many laugh in roast format.

I’ve been neglectful at following all the commentary lately, but from my observation perch here in southern Dane County it seems to me that Gotch has had a new pattern for quite a while. Gotch will post a comment and Lesiak will reply with some kind of troll’ish reply and Gotch ignores him. In fact it seems to me that the Gotch’s pattern has been to completely ignore all of Lesiak’s comments and he’s been successfully doing that for months. So, based on my limited observations, this “back and forth” seems to be completely one sided. Blaming Gotch as being a participant in “back and forth” with Lesiak seems a bit of a stretch when he hasn’t been replying to anything that Lesiak writes for months. Seriously, did I miss a huge string of “back and forth” comments recently that caused the Pest Control guy to resurface and this comment to be posted?
How about making Lesiak’s most recent “permanent” ban truly permanent, his constant trolling and lies, yes lies, shows me that he’s truly earned every bit of it.
