Their rush to judgment in Kenosha cost lives!
Law enforcement pleaded with Tony Evers and Mandela Barnes not to rush to judgment in condemning Kenosha police for arresting the criminal Jacob Blake two years ago. To no avail. Their letter:
“Previous statements made by each of you are premature, judgmental, inflammatory, and only add to the anger and divisiveness of an already dangerous situation … [and] put peoples’ lives at risk. These are not peaceful protests.”

The four law enforcement associations were responding to statements like this from the governor of Wisconsin made on the night of 08-23-2020 with Kenosha already burning:
“Jacob Blake was shot in the back multiple times, in broad daylight, in Kenosha. Kathy and I join his family, friends and neighbors in hoping earnestly that he will not succumb to his injuries. While we do not have all the details yet, what we know for certain is he is not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or in our country.”

A year after the riots …
Tony Evers was still bad-mouthing police. He issued this statement on in August 2021:
“We are grateful Jacob has survived his injuries. We know Jacob, his kids and family will have and will face challenges they never thought they would have to endure. … Wisconsin has taken important steps to increase transparency in use of force incidents, limit the use of chokeholds … . We must remain resolved in addressing the systemic racism and inequities Black Wisconsinites face every day.”

Lest we forget, the district attorney of Kenosha County exonerated the police officer who shot Jacob Blake. Police were responding to a call from the unmarried mother of his three children that Blake was stealing her car with the children inside. He had previously been charged with felony third-degree sexual assault * and two misdemeanors against that woman. (More here.) (* Later dropped in return for a guilty plea on the two misdemeanors.)

In Chicago, just to the south of us, there have been some 612 killed so far this year. Out of the numbers of those killed, exactly 2 people have been shot dead by the police.

If 78.5% of those who have been killed are black and killed by the police or white people there would be, understandably, large massive protests in the streets of Chicago.
But there are not.
Kind of tells you, who is killing who.

Not just murders, BC, violent victimizations have a…um…certain color to them:
According to the latest BJS Report there were 593,598 interracial violent victimizations between black and whites in 2018. Blacks committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies, or 90% and white committed less than 10%.
It gets worse.
Blacks commit crimes in far greater numbers than their representation would warrant. African Americans are 12.6% of the U.S. population, but they account for 38.9% of all violent crime arrests—including 32.5% of all rapes, 55.5% of all robberies, and 33.9% of all aggravated assaults.
Is this because they are arrested for crimes they didn’t commit? Are they only “guilty of being black”?
In fact, the statistics are compiled by interviewing the victims of these violent crimes, which in the case of crimes committed by blacks are mostly black themselves. In 2010, black perpetrators were responsible for 80% of all violence against blacks (including 94% of homicides), while white perpetrators accounted for just 9% of all violence against blacks.
Five times as many black attacks on whites as the reverse. According to the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), which relies on crime victims to identify their assailants, 320,082 whites were victims of black violence in 2010, the latest year for which statistics are available, while 62,593 blacks were victims of white violence.
But these raw statistics understate the pattern. In 2010, the white and black populations in the United States were 197 million and 38 million, respectively.
In other words, blacks committed acts of interracial violence at a rate 25 times higher than whites (849 per 100,000 versus 32 per 100,000). This pattern has been among the most consistent findings of criminal-justice research for many years and for a wide variety of crimes.
Nationwide there were an estimated 67,755 black-on-white aggravated assaults in 2010, as compared to with just 1,748 white-on-black crimes of the same description. In other words, BLACKS COMMITTED ACTS OF INTERRACIAL AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AT A RATE 200 X HIGHER THAN EVIL WHITES, (181 per 100,000 population -v- 0.9 per 100,000)!
