Today, November 1, 2020, the Times finally addressed Hunter Biden’s incriminating laptop. Which means trashing those who have been investigating the Biden family’s corruption, unlike the NY Times. Tell me if this Page One headline doesn’t give away their game:

Alrighty, then, as Jim Carrey would say. If you say so. At a minimum, the Democrat’s nominee allowed his family to cash in on their association with a sitting vice president. Must … Defeat … Bad Man Trump!

I too wrote in a candidate in 2016 because I have always thought, and still do, that Trump is a jerk. But, for the reasons David mentioned, I will definitely vote for Trump on Tuesday. I like most of what he has done and I got so turned off by the Dems during the primary debates that I have little respect for them now. And living in Madison and seeing how the Progs are wrecking the city……MAGA!!

Regarding your evolution from an NT to DT. I guess I’ve always listened to your ‘character matters’, ‘personal responsibility’ in your other posts and felt you definitely had some points. It seems at odds with that to support the Donald Trump we’ve seen and know by now. He hardly seems like a role model I’d want kids to emulate. Just curious how you resolve that? Perhaps you’re an ‘ends justify the means’? Or is it that Trump is the lesser of two evils?
There’s more to being a role model than exchanging niceties. I focus on Trump’s record: no new wars, historic peace deals, empowering Black Americans, obliterating ISIS, strengthening US manufacturing, making animal cruelty a federal crime.
Is Biden really a role model? The FBI has been investigating that family for money laundering for a year. How did he accumulate his wealth while in public service for 47 years?
The media portrays him as nice Uncle Joe, but have you seen how he talks to people who don’t agree with him? “I’m smarter than you.” “Chumps.” And how about how he looks down at Black Americans? “You ain’t black.” “I don’t want my kids growing up in a racial jungle.” What’s galling is that leftist dare to portray Trump as the racist!
I look at past presidents and see very few that could be considered role models. One can argue that Bill Clinton with his womanizing, George W with his war mongering, and Obama with his inciting racial divisions do little to inspire younger generations. It’s up to the parents to be role models to kids, not presidents.

While Trump doesn’t state his goals for families eloquently, he surely makes them clear.
In order to be consistent, then you will also not vote for Biden/Harris who are very flawed characters.

This is indeed a big part of it. I, for one am tired of being manipulated and spoken down to like I’m an idiot by people who need to check their own morals.
It’s much more than that, though. Trump is truly creating something great in this country. Not just in terms of his accomplishments (peace deals, prison reform, focus on USA jobs, etc.) but he’s almost single-handedly exposed just how deep the swamp is.
Though it may not seem like it, he’s also uniting us. Just look at the diversity that’s become the Republican party and the enthusiasm from Black America for this president. This is how we make American strong again.
Never Trumpers like those at the Lincoln Project are IMO, deep staters who want to maintain the status quo.

The last democrat I voted for was Carter. By 1980, I realized that the Republicans had a better idea with Reagan.
But from the current viewpoint of 2020, I can say that some (maybe most) of the Republican candidates since then have been less than the best. McCain and Romney? I’m almost ashamed to admit I voted for them, knowing what I know now. But what was the choice? The dems have been headed for the cliff that is socialism at an ever-increasing pace since 1980.
2016 was an easy choice. Lying Hillary would have continued Obama’s disaster, So Trump, even with his personality, was easy to vote for.
And even with one bad eye, I have 2020 vision that Trump needs to be reelected.
