12:22 p.m. Friday, October 19 — Officers responded to a convenience store on University Ave for a property damage complaint. The victim (73-year-old WF) reported observing a group of juveniles who appeared to be getting ready to fight. The victim then called 911 and also honked her horn at the group. This action apparently resulted in one of the juveniles (AAF) approaching the victim, who was in her vehicle. The suspect (AAF) yelled profanities at the victim and kicked her vehicle which caused a dent. The juveniles all left the area and have not been identified. Investigation continuing.
5:11 p.m. Thursday, October 18 — Officers responded to a business on West Towne Way regarding a subject/suspect (teenage AAF) who is known to the store as a chronic retail theft suspect. Store employees observed the suspect in the store and stayed close to her in an effort to deter anything from being stolen. The suspect became upset, said some words towards the store employee and presented what was believed to be some kind of electronic control device (ECD). The store employee and a witness (WM) observed the ECD and heard/saw it spark in their direction. The male witness believes they were struck by the ECD. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived and there was no merchandise taken during this incident.
