It’s catnip for MSNBC and its ilk— the urban myth that The People are rising up spontaneously, like mushrooms after a heavy rain, to protest at back-home listening sessions the threat to democracy represented by elected Republican congressmen. The peanut gallery at Blaska Policy Werkes is not that gullible.
They know these disruptions are organized by the folks who do disruptions — the Occupiers of Wall Street, George Floyd’s “mostly peaceful” arsonists, the campus mall occupiers enforcing Jew-free zones, and various harassers of Tesla drivers. The No Kings marchers. In other words, the progressive Left — that includes their bedfellows in the Democrat(ic) party.
In Wisconsin, organizers are targeting U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Janesville. Protestors disrupted his town hall meeting Thursday 07-31-25 in Elkhorn WI. MacIver Institute has video.
More ominously, protesters delivered a cardboard coffin and funeral flowers to Steil’s doorstep — not at his office but at his home, where his wive sleeps and his children play with their toys. TO HIS HOME! Fox News has more:
The unwanted visitors, dressed in black and carrying cowbells, walked up the congressman’s private driveway in what appeared to be a mock funeral procession, before dropping a cardboard coffin prop with an epitaph at his front door. Former Walworth County Democrat Party chairwoman Ellen Holly was identified in the video footage posted to social media allegedly walking up to Steil’s front door, along with several other constituents from previous protests. — Fox News
Taking credit for this threat are the Southern Wisconsin Grassroots Network and Working Families Party, according to Fox News. Working Families has endorsed NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. Also defends Milwaukee Judge Hannah Dugan for helping that criminal illegal alien escape. We say “threat” because elected officials are increasingly victims of actual violence. Ironically (or not), Steil chairs the committee addressing increased threats to congressional members and their staff.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Political theater probably satisfies the performer but persuades no one and probably turns off that 15% said to be open-minded. It’s one reason 63% of America is down on Democrats.

Sure enough, CNN was all over the protests at Steil’s Elkhorn listening session. How did they happen to be there (or get footage)? Because organizers who staged this show told them about it. With a straight face, CNN presented it as a random cross section of American opinion — not as a Democrat-orchestrated event.
They covered it because people are angry about what the spinless GOP is doing. Cancel cancer screenings because they are “woke”? Bad labor stats, fire the Dept head. Epstein, go home for 5 weeks and shut up. Inflation? Get over it. If you don’t like the reaction you are getting then fix this s@#t. Now you can’t send in your taxes directly to the IRS.
