No one is above the law;
but no one IS the law, either!
MAGA world is delighted that the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the home and offices of John Bolton, Trump’s former national security adviser. Commentary critical of Donald Trump is treason enough for the totalitarians.
Under the banner of the local county Republican party comes this Orwellian truth/speak:
The John Bolton raid isn’t random — it’s about his long-running spree of stealing & leaking classified information, a pattern he’s gotten away with for years.

TDS works both ways
As with most such irruptions in social media, no source is given. “Long-running spree of stealing classified information”? How would the schlub who posted this on Facebook be privy? Trump Derangement Syndrome, we are learning, is most virulent among its MAGA hosts.
Bolton risked his freedom by writing a tell-all book about his days in Trump’s first White House. The presses did not start rolling until Trump’s own spook shop gave it a good, four-monthlong scrubbing.
→ Lawfare calls it “an investigative Ponzi scheme“

Persecuted by the President who stole and stored classified information in the loo of his Mar-a-Lago resort. Whose lies about a stolen election encouraged the January 6 insurrection.
This dues-paying RINO stipulates that Donald Trump has been unjustly impeached for a phone call to Volodymyr Zelensky for rightly inquiring about corruption. Subject to partisan prosecution for real estate dealings in which borrower and lender profited, neither complained of deceit. Tried for sexual assault only after post-facto legislation created a unique civil procedure that had no statute of limitations. Harassed by Hillary Clinton’s spurious Russian Collusion Hoax. Hellz bellz, his presidency, to date, has succeeded.
What’s that knock at the door?
But if John Bolton is Henrik Ibsen’s enemy of the people, then the Wall Street Journal is a denizen of the unfathomable Deep State. We quote it anyway:
Mr. Trump made clear that he was out for blood against Mr. Bolton when he pulled the former adviser’s protective detail after his re-election. Mr. Bolton is widely known as a defense hawk, and in 2022 the Justice Department charged an Iranian national it said planned to murder him. …
It’s unlikely that Mr. Bolton broke any laws on national secrets … Perhaps Mr. Trump intends for the process itself to be the punishment even if there is ultimately no criminal charge. Mr. Bolton has to pay for legal counsel, and his family has to endure the anxiety of being under federal government siege. — Trump’s vendetta campaign
Blaska’s Bottom Line: It is said that people determined to believe something in lieu of evidence are predisposed to believe almost anything. Those who cheer harassing Trump’s enemies believe they are patriots.

Yeah, I have long said that there are two varieties of TDS–the blue and red kind. Both kinds reveal a kind of psychosis. But then you (Dave) had to go on and say “Hellz bellz, his presidency, to date, has succeeded.” Umm, partly. The border is secure–great. The economy is still wondering what to do with tariffs that come and go. We will see. Ukraine is going down the loo, which is a big reason why I did not support His Orangeness this time around. Gaza is up in the air–will he deny weapons? Will he bomb Iran?? It is all a mystery. BUT MOST OF ALL IS HEALTH: Brain-Worm Bobby, Batscat Battacharya (sp?), and mealy mouthed Markarty leading the US health enterprise, shutting down vax committees, putting puppets on deciding boards??? That is gawd awful……
POLITICO 6/19/2020:
In a Saturday morning ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth said the Justice Department’s request to suppress the tell-all book on national security grounds would be impossible to enforce, but the judge lambasted Bolton for his decision to move ahead with publication without an explicit go-ahead from the government.
“While Bolton’s unilateral conduct raises grave national security concerns, the government has not established that an injunction is an appropriate remedy,” Lamberth wrote. “The damage is done.”
Indeed, the judge criticized Bolton so severely that the ruling didn’t seem like much of a victory at all for the former foreign policy hawk who spent 18 months as a top aide to President Donald Trump.
Lamberth, an appointee of President Ronald Reagan, even went so far as to suggest Bolton might be prosecuted for his conduct.
“Defendant Bolton has gambled with the national security of the United States. He has exposed his country to harm and himself to civil (and potentially criminal) liability,” Lamberth wrote in his 10-page order.

Amazing how Dementia Don got on TV and as usual claimed he knew nothing about the Bolton raid, but just before that Vance was on and ran through the whole thing. Which one is lying to you? trump is a corrupt fool surrounded by morons and crooks. When are you people going to figure that out?
I don’t much care what others choose to do when apparent politically motivated things like this pop up in the news, I’m not going to jump on the bandwagon for either side. I’ll do what I usually do, wait for the facts to be released to the public that fully explain what’s going on; until then, John Bolton is innocent until proven guilty just like everyone else.
There is no iNsUrReCtIoN! counter on stolen land.
Bolton was under investigation during the Biden years, but they didn’t follow through on anything. Good on Patel and Bondi to take a second look.
What will you say when Trump goes through Michelle’s underwear drawer (ewww)? Melania’s underwear was totally necessary, I’m sure.
Trump’s revenge campaign is in full force- not a surprise to anyone that listened to him during the campaign- and enabled by his courtiers who lack the gravitas and the competence of the first term. And, James Madison would turn in his grave if he knew that the intricately designed “checks and balances” of congress and the supreme court had been so easily neutered by our MAGA president.
I doubt Bolton did anything that merited a dawn hour raid of his home by FBI agents this past weekend. Bolton has been involved in government for 30+ years; he understands national security. I assume Bondi and Patel are hoping to find some reference in Bolton’s own notes to an event which could now be considered ‘classified”, but not at the time. That’s how they tried to ding James Comey- from his own notes.
What really happened is that Bolton criticized Trump’s handling (or mishandling) of Ukraine and he told his sycophants to “find a reason”. So, they found a pretext.
Trump gets what he wants and the more he gets, the more he wants. And now, he wants to punish anyone that has ever criticized him using the powers of the state. And no one will stop him or can’t. Until he blows himself up, I worry about anyone who gets in his cross hairs.
Its the circle of hate dems hate him during bush/cheney and trump years and now extreme gop hate him cuz orange dulce says so. Bolton is swamp creature through and through and has made his living off the military industrial complex like so many around dc.
