Quibblers argue that Democrats played mischief in the Republican primary Tuesday 04-02-24 by voting for candidates not named “Trump.” That’s why, they aver, their man lost 21% of the vote to ghost challengers who long ago quit the race. If anything, it’s the other way around: Democrats crossed over to vote Trump. Trump, the thinking goes, is the only candidate their man Joe Biden can beat. Did it once, already.
Wausau is vying with Waukesha to be the Promised Land for Wisconsin Republicans. Our friend Meg Ellefson rules the airwaves up there — once the base for Democrat(ic) congressman Dave Obey. That was then. Wausau voters Tuesday turned out their mayor, Katie Rosenberg, who had “become a darling of the Democratic Party in Wisconsin, often speaking at events held by Gov. Tony Evers and making appearances in Madison,” the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Ironically, it was that identification with the Party of Evers and Biden that helped do her in, despite pouring $190,000 into her campaign. The victor, Army veteran Doug Diny, collected $50,000 from the GOP, according to WI Right Now.
Republicans also picked off the mayoralty in Kenosha, once a Democrat(ic) stronghold and now the state’s fourth-largest city. David Bogdola succeeds longtime mayor and former Democrat(ic) state legislator John Antaramian. The Republican-backed candidate ran on public safety in that riot-scarred city. He defeated Lydia Spottswood, who lost to Paul Ryan for Congress in 1998. Racine County defeated a judge appointed by Gov. Evers and conservative school board candidates had a good day, WI Right Now reports. And, of course, voters statewide said no more Zuckerbucks! (Please explain, Capital Times, how a voter referendum can be “anti-Democratic”! We remember when progressives wanted the people to decide.) New party chairman Brian Schimming is taking hold!

The Center for Investigative Oversight recently uncovered that the City of Madison has approved $700,000 taxpayer dollars for illegal immigrants. More COVID-19 public health largesse, The Center accuses the City of showering nonprofits for services for illegal immigrants, despite those immigrants being largely ineligible to otherwise receive direct federal or state aid. State Senator Duey Stroebel (R-Cedarburg) wants answers.

The indentured servants at Stately Blaska Manor are dropping their dobbers today on news that No Labels is raising the white flag. despite widespread distaste for both of the likely two major party nominees. Upon first being eligible to vote so long ago, we found neither Richard Nixon nor George McGovern palatable. We took a pass. Still eyeing Bobby Junior. He is a kook but not senile nor a criminal.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Wonderful piece in the Wall Street Journal about John McCain awakening to see best friend Joe Lieberman chanting in prayer shawl and tefillin on the Sabbath, asking if they were in heaven. Surely, they are today, two honorable mensches.

A little more republican. Like the governor of Louisiana? He wants to take away scholarships of any player who didn’t show up for the national anthem. Which means all the players on the LSU women’s team. All season they stayed in the locker-room preparing as is their team policy and never a peep until today. So this is todays outrage du jour for the gopeepees. I guess he thinks black women don’t need no book learnin’.

Howse about a little more democrat like the comically inept Northland College, located in WESconsin’s STOOPIDEST (sic) county (Ashland).
It begged for a cool $20 mill to bail out its laughable impotence, and only got (Heh!) an undeserved $1.5. It’s hemorrhaging RED INK, yet none of its Lefty faculty will take one for the team by reducing their pay.
To no one’s surprise, its Didn’t Earn It department is fully funded. When it succumbs to a fact-based Reality and shuts down completely, all those pin-headed needle-necked faculty fly the coop; the out-migration of the few net I.Q. points it had might just make Ashland County the STOOPIDEST (sic) county in the U.S. of A.!
While that might provide a catchy tourist draw, America’s Dairyland might be better served by trading it to the Land Of 10000 Puddles…

I saw Mark Pocan at my polling place and was going to ask him when was his next Pro-Hamas gathering but thought better of it. Madison quickly spent “Zuckbucks 2.0” before the vote, “just in case”. Biden is scheduled to unveil another “buy the voters” scheme for college loans during his Madison visit. The list is infinite. Progressives are a cancer.
