The irony being that more Black people voted Trump than any Republican candidate since Eisenhower. But never mind. Pitts — like the progressive project in general — is still pleading for White America to fix Black America — 12 years after Barack Obama was first elected.
A.O.C. is taking names for the re-education camps. The professional Resistance does not want normal; it wants revolution.

In a Dr. Evil movie, that secretary would be called “Number 4.” Number 5 will fill his seat as soon as the revolving door stops spinning.

Takes a full year to get a handle on an institution — especially one as sprawling and hidebound as Defense — and another two years to effect meaningful change. I don’t like term limits with the possible exception of the 22nd Amendment limiting the President. The point, Amos, is that it takes time for an incumbent to 1) understand his office and 2) determine what can be done with it and 3) effect that change. Holds true whether elected or appointed as, say, the Secretary of Defense.

I don’t agree w/ the Ike ENFORCED desegregation bit though. Freedom of association would have made stronger individual communities that were self-reliant. The Civil Rights Act should have been the end of the race issue, but now families have been destroyed, unwed, aborted, generational dysfuntion.. And this I saw when the black American (MARRIED still) grandparents showed me their disappointment in their “public”/pop cultured children, and grandchildren growing up “in the hood” as I did.
