Can police supporters play this game?
BULLETIN: Milw Journal Sentinel reports Mandela Barnes dropping out of governor’s race over allegations that Barnes was taking advantage of his role in the party to have sexual encounters with young adult women.
The ostentatious and performative “grieving” by social justice warriors over the predictable demise of the Exceptional Corey Ruiz (“lyricist, poet, artist” and chronic thief) has come to this: Madison’s alders are afraid to meet in person at the City County Building. Their scheduled meeting for Tuesday August 4 will be held virtually, via laptops worked from behind double-locked doors. Something about reaping what they have sewn. BULLETIN:
The city’s elected leaders (albeit, leading from behind) know the police officers they routinely disparage cannot protect them from “The Community” — even at the City’s seat of gummint. That the Council meeting will, at the least, be disrupted just as the mob shut down Concerts on the Square, among a growing list of public events. Socialism in Action!
Ever notice: No matter how abjectly Woke Madison debases themselves posing for progressive holy pictures, it is never enough!
While the alders cower and scrape, the Head Groundskeeper at Blaska Policy Werkes takes inspiration from Delta fraternity president Eric “Otter” Stratton: “This situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part!” Bluto Blutarsky would agree: We’re just the ones to do it!

Our own Willy Street squalor zone
Blaska is applying for a city permit to claim his own autonomous squatters zone. We espy the intersection one block from the Corey Ruiz squalor at S. Baldwin and Willy Street. Keep it up just as long as Ho-Chi Hong City.
Have some farmer friends who have pledged bales of straw, which we’ll use to construct an impregnable fort. “Fort Walker,” we shall call it. Atop will fly Old Glory, illuminated at night. Boom box will play Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild.” Case of Shiner Bock on chill. ROTC drill formation each weekday at 5. Harley rally Saturdays featuring nekkid chicks. I.C.E. recruiters on premises weekday mornings. Tom Tiffany literature pick up site.
Applying for an event permit because we do things nice and legal-like. Took out a permit when we displaced the anti-Act 10 Solidarity Singers at the Capitol when Scott Walker was upstairs. I should say “attempting” because, first off, the city’s on-line application form is more convoluted than Madison’s rapid-bus schedule.
Attempting, because the City of Madison demands wheelchair accessibility, an emergency action plan, dumpsters, portable toilets, a temporary beer license, and risk insurance. Oh, and $300. Still, ten times cheaper than the electronic billboard we posited in the last thrilling episode. Looking for donors. (Hey, who came up with the idea?) Guessing we get a refund when the City turns us down.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Which is the point. Want to see the City of Madison poobahs consult the law books as they strategize how they can deny the permit, given conservatives have just as much claim to the First Amendment as “The Community.” Given that “The Community” never bothered with the legal niceties.
