And then there was one. The only candidate left standing to be the City of Madison’s first independent police monitor is more Woke than the taste tester at Maxwell House. A second finalist dropped out, so it’s down to Byron Bishop, who’s already in the grievance trade as manager of the city’s Civil Rights Equal Opportunities division.
High school students as young as age 13 are stealing and wrecking cars, parents with clubs are joining their kids in schoolyard brawls, and students already up for felonies bring loaded weapons to school. But police are the problem! Mr. Bishop tells the WI State Journal why. It’s not Covid 19, it’s not global climate change or even Angry Birds. It’s the whole darn justice system!

By that standard, Darrell Brooks was acting out at Waukesha’s Christmas parade. He was acting out! Mr. Bishop so far has survived being voted off the island from among 12 applicants for a job that pays $125,000 a year! Nice soft landing! The governor of Wisconsin only makes $152,756!

Does it surprise anyone that a bogus job (independent police monitor) is being filled by a fanatical left-wing ideologue? Or that the salary of said bogus job is astronomical? It’s called the Madison Way. Bishop’s explanation for the local crime wave is laughable, particularly as it assumes that the perpetrators know enough about history to recognize the alleged “historic system of injustice” at the heart of the bogus theories which people like Mr. Bishop use to browbeat guilty white liberals into giving them cushy lifetime jobs. I wish some of these rage-filled youth would set their sights on Mr. Bishop’s Lexus (or Audi or Mercedes) so we could see the sort of adjustments he might need to make in his crackpot theories to accommodate such behavior.

We elect public officials to protect us. To say that someone is killing Republicans and Trump supporters in this country sounds like a conspiracy theory gone crazy. But the evidence is overwhelming.
People in counties that voted for Donald Trump in 2020 are dying at much higher rates from COVID-19 than people who live in counties that voted for Joe Biden. Since May 2021, people living in counties that voted heavily for Donald Trump during the last presidential election have been nearly three times as likely to die from COVID-19 as those who live in areas that went for now-President Biden. People living in counties that went 60% or higher for Trump in November 2020 had 2.7 times the death rates of those that went for Biden. Counties with an even higher share of the vote for Trump saw higher COVID-19 mortality rates.
The death cult continues. So many body bags, so many funerals.

What’s killing Republicans and Trump supporters? Not bothering to get vaccinated could be part of the problem. “Red” states have reported a low vaccination rate. Along with easy variant transmissibility, ignoring mask mandates and obesity, this spells severe illness and death. So yes, some people must have a death wish.
