Details

Many shoppers clapped their hands and praised police as multiple officers were sent into West Towne Mall Saturday afternoon to successfully stop an attack on a Madison couple.

Earlier, suspects had harassed victims on a Madison Metro bus. One teen threw candy at the male victim and later dumped a slushy drink on the couple. In the chaos of the moment, the male victim realized his brand new cell phone was missing.

The couple pursued the suspects into West Towne Mall with hopes of getting it returned. Instead, several teens encircled the male victim. As police arrived, the suspects were in boxer stances, jumping around in the middle of the mall throwing punches as the victim rope-a-doped and tried to protect himself from injury.

A teenage girl also slapped and punched the man’s girlfriend.

The young people all ran as police arrived, but officers were able to corral all but one. Several teens are well known to the MPD and are members of a gang. Much of the violence was captured on surveillance video.

The City of Madison and its un-elected NGO network made that easy for you. They moved Chicago here. [ Skitz on Willy is formerly known as White Hills and a whole bunch of other names. Why he keeps changing his identities, I don’t know. But you are now Skitz on Willy or you are off this board. ]

Yikes. 13 year olds assaulting people over cell phones? Wait, we’ve heard a lot about this for a long time. They’re just kids, raised by the community center mentality. There are programs in Madison that give away free phones and plans to at-risk youth (to make it convenient to communicate their intentions to assault others?). Why the need to assault someone else to get another one?

How West Towne Mall manages to stay afloat is beyond me. It was bad enough when they decided to cater to down market tastes during a time when malls were clearly falling out of fashion. Now, the down market tastes are biting the hand that catered to them in the first place?

  6. Anyone know what happens after these minor kids (whose needs haven’t been properly met) get arrested; do they get transferred to “Juvie?”

And because they’re minor (except in level of criminality & and inclination toward repeated offense) aren’t authorities required to release them ONLY to an ADULT parent/guardian?

And if authorities are required to release them ONLY to an ADULT parent/guardian, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is the conversation the authorities are having with the ADULT parent/guardian about their Thugs-in-Training children?

Someone/something NEEDS to begin addressing the criminal disease these miscreants create by removing the causes…THEM!!

Haven’t heard anything on this from the resident Lefties here; do they need the democrat votes THAT bad?

“Several of the teens are well-known to the MPD and are members of a gang”. So why are they on the streets in the first place? Why haven’t the parents (or more likely parent) been fined or otherwise penalized for the behavior of their criminal offspring?

Y E S, clearly past the time for action. Folks must petition the Madison CCouncil for at least 10,000-25,000 immigrants who are fleeing gangs, etc. Set up some tent cities in the streets and lawns in the area between University Ave. and Regent Street, East of West High School. Let the faculty and bureaucrats step up.

Same for income. Time for “Leadership-by-Example” Tax excess income for all gov employees and CONGRESSIONAL members at 98% over 50k income, yearly. Come on you Bernie-ites….you can do it. Show us the way. Set the example. Step and be the first to block the social leveling train that you created.

Of course, i would not have suggested that but it is a cold day in H___ and it might be freezing over. Time for progressives to act, even those Dane County.
