Democrats commit ‘An honest form of suicide’
Oh woe is them
Columnist Bret Stephens is, like all New York Times employees (even the delivery truck drivers, one suspects), hostile to Trump. Maybe not as hostile as Alec Baldwin when you take his parking spot, but pretty antagonistic just the same. Even Bret Stephens has to acknowledge that the Blue Wave Democrats expect Tuesday will be more like a light spritz. Here is Stephens in today’s Times:
The night Donald Trump was elected was supposed to be, for most liberals and a few conservatives, the beginning of the end of the world. The economy would surely implode. The U.S. would probably blunder into a catastrophic war. The new American president would be blackmailed into conducting foreign policy as Putin’s poodle.
None of that has happened .… On Friday, The Wall Street Journal reported the fastest rate of annual wage hikes in almost a decade, depriving Democrats of one of their few strong arguments about the true state of the economy. Unemployment is at its lowest rate since Vince Lombardi coached his last game in December 1969. The North American Free Trade Agreement has been saved with minor modifications and a new name.
Oh, and: Islamic State is largely defeated.
The Caravan of Democrats’ nightmares
What about immigration? Remember the bad optics of kids being separated from their parents? Me, neither. Now the focus on the the caravan of thousands inexorably headed America’s way. “To which the Democratic response,” columnist Stephens asks, “is — what, exactly?”
If it’s “compassion,” it’s a non-answer. If it’s to abolish ICE, it’s a dereliction of responsibility for governance. If it’s to open the border, it is an honest form of political suicide.
Stephens leaves to the president of the Policy Werkes to address the other issue: Fallout from the Democrats’ identity politics over-reach on the Kavanaugh confirmation. One good result of the #MeToo Movement: “On your knees” Bill has been pushed off farther to the sidelines than a kneeling Colin Kaepernick. “No one wants to campaign with Bill Clinton anymore.”

This is a put-on. Titania is a hoaxster extraordinaire!
We do love Leah Vukmir ♥ ♥ ♥
Blaska makes his case for Leah Vukmir in this month’s InBusiness magazine (as opposed to incumbent U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin):
- Tammy positions herself as the veteran’s best friend, the Tomah V.A. scandal notwithstanding. Leah’s son is an active-duty soldier.
- Tammy Baldwin cheered on Segway Boy and Thistle during the 2011 takeover of the Wisconsin Capitol. Leah Vukmir endured death threats supporting Act 10.
- Tammy opposed Brett Kavanaugh on moral grounds but supported Hillary Clinton, Bubba’s most visceral enabler.
- Tammy voted against Paul Ryan’s tax cuts; Leah voted for Scott Walker’s tax cuts. How’s the economy doing these days?
And today’s kick to the chestnuts: Unlike Tammy Baldwin, Leah Vukmir is NOT a career politician!
Yeah, and the deified Mr. Lombardi probably didn’t pay a living wage to his water boys way back when! The horror to our friends on the left!

Mr. Clinton is Democratic anathema and Hillary is still in shock after two years (What Happened?)
Perfect timing for their expensive, long road show.
God is laughing.

The Lefty Lament known as The Donald has been uncomfortable to say the least, and the direct cause of painful-n-plentiful END STAGE cerebral/rectal hemorrhaging to say the most.
It gets worse.
Nearly all of the laughably idiotic countries that bent WAY over (Hopey Changey had hoped we’d be one of ’em) for the rent-seekers tasked with putting together the Paris Accord shakedown, I mean, the Paris Last Chance To Save The Planet Treaty from the Global Warming that’s here and worse than the models predicted have reneged on their target GHG emission reductions.
The good ol’ U. S. of A. pulled out of that joke-of-a-whatever-the-F**K-it-was, yet still lowered theirs.
Funniest thing; the good ol’ U. S. of A. was a Kyoto Accord (an earlier 1997 effort at the same shakedown) non-signatory, yet still led, and it should be noted STILL LEADS the known Universe in net GHG reductions.
Yes, The U.S. Leads All Countries In Reducing Carbon Emissions

Were I a Lefty (spittuie!), the…um…cold, harsh aspect of a fact-based reality would have me feeling a little…um…hot under the collar.

The Chicken Littles of climate change are now engaged in a contest to see which of their high priests–sorry, scientists–can come up with the most apocalyptic predictions (i.e., the kind guaranteed to attract the most “research” money). Seems like lately the rate has risen to one a week. They remind me of demented street preachers who confidently predict the end of the world, then are forced to backtrack when the supposed day of doom comes and goes. And meanwhile their followers cling as ardently as ever to their belief system–sorry, proven scientific fact..

THE UNITED STATES POLITICAL LEFT HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY RADICALIZED
For the first time in my life I’m voting a straight Republican ticket. Why? Because Republicans are actually running for things that I generally support and everyone else is just running against Republicans by using smears, propaganda, innuendo, and lies. To me it appears that the the anti-Republicans are not for anything except gaining power and everyone should fear any ideology behind the kind of propaganda that the left is presenting as “truth”.
Here is something outside our local Wisconsin bubble to watch very closely…
The extremely thick propaganda rhetoric from the political left surrounding the Georgia gubernatorial election is being setup so that if Abrams doesn’t win the election the political left in Georgia and the media will explode. I have friends in Georgia on both sides of the political spectrum and it is quite obvious to me that the political left is priming their supporters with propaganda. The supporters of the political left in Georgia have blindly swallowed all the lefts’ propaganda and they have swallowed it whole, the construction of a mob is underway and mob mentality will rule. I’m reading/hearing things coming from the mouths of previously laid-back Liberal/Progressive friends in Georgia that I didn’t think was possible. I think the political left is deliberately using the Georgia gubernatorial election as a litmus test to test the waters and see how the political left and the public at large is going to react to their propaganda rhetoric building up to the 2020 Presidential election.
Everyone should keep a very close eye on what happens in the political left after the Georgia gubernatorial election is over regardless of who wins. Win or lose, the political left in Georgia is highly motivated to action the only question is how is the political left going to use that motivation.

Fear mongering is the blanket covering all tactics of the political left it can be found in everything they present; it’s especially in-your-face with their destroy the purveyor of any message that seems to oppose theirs and is the absolute core of their Conservatives are evil tactic. Their fear mongering will be the end of us all.

And such steaming redolent by-product STENCH of desperately seeking relevance through IDENTITY POLITICS and promoting victimhoodie and dependence from Lefty.
Speaking of Lefty, last I heard they were still cool with Comey and the Koch Brothers.
But they have the flighty attention span of a ferret on a couple of triple espressos, ergo, they can, and will, turn on a dime.
Any updates?

Great article (FER”) Cornelius. Provides context.
The MSM is nothing more than Democrat PACs.
“If you want to see just how skewed news coverage has become, it’s often instructive to compare the media’s treatment of two events which are basically the same, except that the party roles are reversed. This year, with Republicans in control of the White House, House and Senate, journalists are actively electioneering on behalf of Democrats, as a way to diminish the power of President Trump.”
