How dare anyone complain!
Harassment and intimidation are how social justice warriors (with the tacit permission of the local Democrat(ic) and Progressive Dane political parties) defunded school resource police officers. We’re waiting for the Democrats’ denunciation of the Corey Ruiz Autonomous Zone.
Former alder Brenda Konkel, until recently co-chair of Progressive Dane, is currently executive director of Madison Street Medicine and president of its host, the Social Justice Center on Williamson Street. Brenda threatens to mau mau the neighbors who complained to police about the fighting, “screaming and yelling,” open defecation and urination, substance abuse, trash, and drug paraphernalia
Read the City’s intent to file a public nuisance action documenting “well over 300” complaints, 20 arrests on 47 charges.
“Can we see the 300 calls and who made them?” she threatens. Unfortunately, yes she can; they’re public record.
In pretzel logic only a Woke progressive could parse, Konkel argues “Might the real nuisance be the callers wasting police time?”
Perhaps Ms. Brenda ingested some of the residual methamphetamine when she argues that only 20 of the calls resulted in arrests — including two of her own employees! — is, somehow, exculpatory.
If it please the court, any tavern with well over 300 complaints and 20 arrests on 47 charges would have its liquor license pulled like an abscessed tooth. A nearby business directs its ire not at the homeless (“It’s not their fault”) but at Konkel. “The center needs to stop people from sleeping and hanging around all hours. It’s a terrible effect on our business. Let’s move it to the mayor’s neighborhood! They can camp on her lawn!”

Back to the Exceptional Corey Ruiz. Turns out District Attorney Ismael Ozanne has had the report of the Justice Department’s investigation on his desk all this month, the Wisconsin State Journal reveals. No timeline required by law for the D.A. to decide whether to prosecute or not. Social justice warriors are ready to put boots on the pavement if he decides not to prosecute the white police officer who popped the chronic criminal. Ozanne could well just allow the calendar to keep turning over.

About the Tiffany campaign barring Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporters from a veterans roundtable, Jessica McBride writes:
What do you think the chances were that [JS reporter Mary] Spicuzza was going to ask Tiffany a cheap gotcha question about the wallets of [campaign donors] Diane Hendricks and Dick Uihlein instead of caring about veterans? Probably 100%. What are the chances she was going to trot over to a Dave Crowley roundtable next and ask him about the Democratic Party taking so much money from Epstein island visitor Reid Hoffman? Blaska’s Bottom Line: As a recovering journalist myself, we can excuse banning a news reporter maybe once, to make a point. But not permanently. We did throw Matt Pommer of The Capital Times out of the governor’s office one time. (Felt Great!) But never from a news event.
