Police make him sick!
How much longer will progressive Madison gummint put up with its dysfunctional, deadweight Independent Police Monitor and its self-aggrandizing, virtue-signaling Police Civilian Oversight Board?

The stuff of Robin Copley’s nightmares
Police Monitor Robin Copley is resigning after three years of … of what? … of drawing a taxpayer-paid salary because xxx/xxx/their post-traumatic stress disorder has returned. It was caused “by years of regular, indirect yet in-depth exposure to graphic and violent police incidents.”
Years of it! What graphic and violent police incidents? Not exposure to 5-year-old children cut down in gang cross-fire. Not the wailing of bereft mothers! Not the six Milwaukee police officers killed in the line of duty in the last nine years. Not the 197 homicides in 2021 when s/he was in Milwaukee — none of them at the hands of police. But exposure to police violence! Graphic but somehow not eye-witness — only Indirect (and undoubtedly double-secret) EXPOSURE!
A thousand paper cuts
Prior to coming to Madison, ace reporter Chris Rickert archly reports, “Copley had been the open-records legal adviser for the Milwaukee Police Department.” In other words, before coming to Madison three years ago as Robert Copley, Madison’s future police monitor was a paper pusher. He read reports! Verbose, impersonal, jargon-filled (and often misspelled) police reports.
Only in progressive Madison could someone who, s/he claims, is medically diagnosed to be traumatized by police be paid $138,381 to monitor the alleged (and highly unlikely) source triggering his/her trauma — the cops!
Josh Kaul would have been the immediate front-runner for governor on the Democratic ticket. Instead, he’s seeking re-election as attorney general because national party poobahs want attorneys general to bring suit against Trump directives. It’s why he’s prosecuting Jim Troupis. (Similar case overturned in Michigan.) On the other hand, Josh Kaul the candidate makes Jim Doyle look like “Party on, Wayne! Party on, Garth!”
Pocket pancake Pat Murphy’s “Woodpeckers” became Harvey’s Wallbangers Monday night, clubbing three home runs to power the Crew to a 7 to 3 win over Craig Counsell’s Cubs.
Blaska’s Bottom Lines: How exhilarating to see young Josh Misiorowski leap into the air and unleash a primal scream and fist bump of triumph upon completing three innings of scoreless but nail-biting mound work in the biggest game of the season, so far. It’s a kids’ game, after all. We felt like one, too. Did the Miz cry of victory, too (except for the jumping part).
Robin Copley writes of an attempted suicide in the Spring of 2024. The Werkes wishes better mental health going forward.

I read Copley’s resignation letter and thought finally something more embarrassing than the Chamberlin rock.
where can we find the resignation letter?
I found it https://www.cityofmadison.com/independent-police-monitor/documents/news/Letter%20from%20Robin%20Copley.pdf
And she went to law school!
Probably will apply for a disability pension ar a lump sum settlement due to the trauma of the job. And probably will get it. Why do Madison voters put up with the gross mismanagement of city government?
Self hatred?
Now Dementia Don said that federal workers may not get their back pay. just like when he was screwing contractors while building his crappy hotels. Talk like that will be sure to keep the planes grounded. What’s that new song by Zach Bryan again? Saw he is the opening act for BAD BUNNY at the S. B.
Seek help soon.
Dementia Don??? You progs are making fools of yourselves by trying to pin Biden’s infirmity on Trump. I am no Trump fan, but more than that, I am no BS fan and BS is what you are spreading….
our resident troll is still alive…managing to proved his terminal TDS.
Just when it seems impossible for the Dems to get dumber… The Guv of Illinois goes full Confederate and says no National Guard and Mayor Brandon says its a civil war.
Question, Yer Onner… which side are the Democrats on and how did that work out the last time.
We are on the side of NOT snatching people off the street by masked men without warrants, badges, or due process.
LOL….unless they are MAGA……..
You are on the side that said there was no crisis at the border as 10,000,000 illegal aliens flooded in.
You are on the side that blew up Chicago’s budget to the tune of $2,000,000,000, much of it on services to the illegals.
You are on the side of having Kamala Harris as our border czar.
Keep up the good work. Have a TACO.
Keep up the good work indeed. Progressives/Democrats/Liesak: wrong on every issue. It’s truly an amazing record. Will they ever legitimately win another election? Doubtful.
Has the Police Civilian Oversight Board investigated anything since it was created? I don’t remember hearing anything other than it took 3 years to come up with a complaint form and how long it took to hire a Monitor who now has resigned.
Zip. Nada. Nothing. Expecting an alder to move budget amendment to defund.
As long as there are progressive stereotypes like Robin Copley being hired by cities like Madison to prevent cops from doing their jobs, MAGA world will continue to flourish. “Robin Copley writes of an attempted suicide in the spring of 2024.” Of course it does. How could its self-serving (and probably fictional)saga of trauma and victimhood be considered complete without one? I’m only surprised it limited itself to one.
