Has the fever broken?
What? Bully boy threats and name-calling don’t work? (!!!)
The genial proprietor of this blogge is a Judas, says a Facebook … acquaintance named Bill Elmhorst. The poor fellow is not the only Republican who regards Donald Trump as the risen Christ, leaving his “billionaire lifestyle” to come down from his heavenly tower to open wide the pipeline for cheaper gasoline and a shredded Constitution. Blaska does admit to denying the insurrectionist at least thrice, and the cocks can crow all the day long. We love to hear them sing!

Excuse the Head Groundskeeper for preferring a different candidate. “Judas”? The loser of 2020 is not our presidential nominee yet. Such is the obeisance Trump’s minions demand that they excuse every incivility, explain away every crime, and blame voters for their repugnance.
We are aware that public opinion polls show Trump leading the Republican field. But there are signs the patient, our Republican party, is recovering its mental health. We speak of the party’s rejection of Trumped-up Jim Jordan.
→ “Trump endorses Jim Jordan for House speaker”
Most of the 221 House Republicans didn’t want Jordan in the first place — only eight voted to cashier Kevin McCarthy, led by the mini-Trump with the pompadoured hair-do, Matt Gaetz. McCarthy’s faithful lieutenant, Steve Scalise, was also scuttled by the Trump minority. Every time Jordan, the third choice, came up for a vote, more Republicans voted against him. Finally, in private caucus, a majority of Republicans turned thumbs down on Jordan by a secret vote reported at 112 to 86.
Like his mentor, Gaetz is a sore loser. He blamed “The Swamp” for his man Jordan’s Waterloo. Let’s remember, every one of these Republicans were elected to the swamp just 11 months ago. Or did that mastermind Joe Biden rig their elections, too?
Moderates were livid that, true to Trumpian form, the Jordan-aires called names and threatened violence — sometimes against family members!

Revenge of the RINO moderates!
What binds many of the Republicans who blocked Jordan from becoming speaker was anger with the way the Jordan storm troopers tried to browbeat them into supporting him and concern that the anti-democratic intimidation would continue if Trump’s favorite were to become Speaker.
Blaska’s Bottom Line goes to Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL): “If you’re a leader and you think that you have to basically pressure people and coerce people to follow you …

My My; looks like there’s enough hate speech for the left and the right.
Tried to browbeat them?
I hope the little snowflakes had a safe space to run to!
Oh the pain! The pain!
You are missing the point. The “little snowflakes” took their revenge on the Trump bots.
“Revenge of the little snowflakes”
Starring Kevin McCarthy as “Booger”
I tasted politics once several years ago. Tasted like I threw stuff together from the back of the fridge without checking the expiration date. Some of it stunk to high heaven. Some of it took on a putrid life of its own. Some of it oozed and grew fuzz. None of it was what I wanted or intended. I threw it all out.
You are clever with metaphors, Steven. Great prose poem. Must have been inspired by your cat. Really.🐈
I disregarded DT before it was fashionable. 🕊️
At least the Stately Manor has not been fire bombed (yet).
Maybe one of the trumpists, the modern day fascists, could answer a couple questions:
What is “our religion” trump was talking about the other day? Did someone declare that we have a national religion?
And what is the “new form of government” Johnson mentioned when he was nominated for speaker? Is he and the band of crazy R’s in the house, backed by the multi-indicted and former president going to take another try at overthrowing our democracy and installing a trumpocracy?
Thank you in advance.
And, as long as I have the floor, did anyone care to pay attention to all of what trump said at his rally in NH on Monday? That is certainly not a “stable genious”.
