Madison schools: racist by design

The Woke racism that permeates our public schools in Madison WI has made the pages of National Review, thanks to an open records lawsuit won Monday 08-07-23 by the WI Institute for Law & Liberty. The records indicate that — far from one-off ill-chosen verbiage at a Lakeview elementary staff training session — anti-white racism is district policy.

Documents finally released to WILL acknowledges that the school district’s “Master Narrative must decentralize whiteness,” Ryan Mills reports for National Review:

Madison school district welcomes YOU to the movement to ‘Discover, Disrupt, and Dismantle.’ https://sites.google.com/madison.k12.wi.us/mmsd-anti-racism/home

The document goes on to explain that “80% of our time will be spent attending to our top 20% priority,” which is “students of color (African American and Latinx students), English language learners, and students with general reading disabilities.”

The district’s documents also highlight the approved use of racially segregated affinity groups, and how those groups can “support us in being more vulnerable and in grieving the ignorance, shame, and disgrace that often accommodate racial inquiry.”

“A white affinity space puts the onus on white people to learn from each other rather than relying on people of color to teach them,” the document states.

— “School district claims rogue principal okayed anti-white discrimination. Documents suggest it was official policy.”
"Support us in being more vulnerable" ??? What kind of Woke mumbo jumbo is that?!

All of which is old news to the peanut gallery. Blaska Policy Werkes reported in April 2021 that “Madison WI public schools are enforcing racial segregation.” In the aftermath of the George Floyd killing,  Madison West high school held “two separate — but are they equal???? — links to a Zoom!” session; “One for “Parents of Color.” Another for White Parents!

The official district response to the Werkes even then was some blather about “poor wording” and “less than sensitive” language.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: The real hurt of Woke racism is felt by minority-race students; it teaches victimhood, not empowerment.

Yes, there are major swathes of District race policies that are as counterproductive as they are stupid.

But, that said, underlying that indefensible layer lies deep in the strata one key thing that ought to be separated out, because it has a justification, if it were rationally implemented.

That is to say, DISADVANTAGED black kids, along with badly disadvantaged white kids, have special needs that, (1) are NOT their fault and (2) if they are to be remedied, require special help from teachers.

It is not discriminatory to respond to that human need. It is, rather, a sign of human society at its best, reaching out to those who have been given the least.

Human society at it’s worst has created the welfare state, which will continue to churn out disadvantaged black kids.

Peter Anderson wants “disadvantaged” kids to be victims.
Peter Anderson wants these kids to be weak.

“The phases provide an “entry point” to begin digging deeper into learning and taking action, but they should not not been seen as static or fixed. ”

This thing reads like a spam email. Some Nigerian prince has left you a lot of money.

None of this should come as a surprise. MMSD, along with countless school districts across the country, are being subverted by a poisonous, hate-driven ideology that not only teaches victimhood to many of its students, but hatred of the “victimizer” (i.e., their fellow students, their parents, and a “systemically racist” society). In short, teachers and administrators are doing their best to make sure our country’s house becomes more and more divided against itself. Eventually, of course, this will lead–is leading–to another nation-wide conflict. No utopia based lies, hatred, and subversion of the principles on which the nation was founded can lead anywhere else.

Kinda looking like LeMonds bailed (with the door held wide open) ahead of a $#!tstorm Extravaganza.

Carleton Jenkins’ incuriously abrupt retirement didn’t last too awful long, either.

Probably nothing to those…um…mutually exclusive occurrences, am I right?

Anywho, administration of the MMSD makes the last voyage of the Exxon Valdez look like a Love Boat cruise…

I bet the majority ofbteachers have no problem with this nonsense and they don’t live in the District, so they are not eating their cooking.

Any that do, probably send their children to private sschool.

This revelation should be a boom to the private schools in Madison.

This catchphrase that keeps coming up in these comments about “teaching victimhood mentality” is interesting. This appears to automatically discount the possibility that oppression and victimhood could exist at all.

Was George Washington misled by a woke victimhood mentality? How about Martin Luther King? Wouldn’t anybody seeking freedom by definition have a victimhood mentality? Why else would one need freedom unless one were a victim of the denial of freedom?

I dispute the assertion that BLM et al teaches a victimhood mentality. Freedom struggles don’t stop at identifying the oppressive relationship, they inspire people to take action to remedy the situation. They don’t define participants as passive victims, but instead as part of an active assertion of people’s agency over their own lives and communities.

FFsS, Rollie, what next; Jesus was a Tranny?

“I dispute the assertion that BLM et al teaches (sic) a victimhood mentality.”

Of course you do…THAT’S because you (heh!) invested a great deal of emotional and financial capital in that breathtakingly epic grift.

Don’t despair, you’re by no means alone; guilt suffocated White Lefty idiots (forgive the redundancy) and comically WOKE corporations got just as emotionally and financially fleeced as did you.

Pity, that…a fool and their money, am I right…?

Oppressed? Were that to include being cast as objects deserving of generally allowed open derision and good discrimination, White, heterosexual, Conservative Y Chromosomal Units.

Not discounting it at all… everyone on the planet has been a victim, and likely a victimizer at some point. But the losers wallow in it. And when an entire culture is built around it that’s a problem. Not just demographic groups it’s entire populations. Look at the medical establishment and the poor health of US citizens. Victim mentality says oh well I’ll have to go on that drug or get that surgery and there’s nothing I could have done to prevent it. Bullshit.

Politicians love the “victims” as they can offer short term fixes that turn out to be long run disasters.
