Going easy on criminals can be lethal
One of the two brothers accused of shooting two Chicago police officers, killing one of them (Officer Ella French), was given probation in Dane County for felony theft in 2018. (“A police officer falls in Chicago.”)
Eric M Morgan, then listed as living at 1261 N Cleveland Ave, Chicago, IL (date of birth 08-20-1998) was charged in Dane County criminal court on June 7, 2018 with two felonies. The more serious, armed robbery, was dismissed by the judge on the motion of the Dane County district attorney. Morgan was convicted of class G (the lowest kind of) felony theft.
Dane County Circuit Judge Ellen K. Berz gave him three years probation and transferred his case to Illinois probation authorities. “Defendant ordered not to use or possess any firearm” and to take treatment for substance abuse. Now Morgan is charged in Chicago with providing the firearm used by his brother in shooting the two officers. Do you hear that, criminal defendant? It’s an ORDER!
In Madison at Flower Lane and Gammon Road, Morgan and an accomplice took $180 from four Dodgeville residents, two 17-year-old males, one 21-year-old male and one 19-year-old female, on 06-01-18. More details here.

Don’t mistake the leftist coddling of criminals with kindness. If you genuinely care about the people you serve, you wouldn’t unleash violent thugs onto the streets.
No, when Progressives work overtime to defund and demean the police and make it easier for criminals to reoffend, they’re simply displaying their deep seated hatred for anything that represents law and order.

How selective is “woke” outrage toward the legal system? Does it only apply when the target of investigation is a “social justice warrior” or individuals with dark skin, dark tightly curled hair that is flat in transverse section, and a more cruciform pattern to their second and third molars? If police pull over typical U.W. frat boys in Hawaiian shirts, is that a problem? How about seasoned citizens drag-racing in the streets on antique tractors, slowing traffic to a crawl? Do they NOT want society protected from these menaces?

White felons can steal, rob, and murder with the best. Yet they get no love. “Defund the Police” and “Criminal Justice Reform” are affirmative action for sociopaths, but, in actuality, only SOME sociopaths.

No, the woke crowd is selective in its outrage. They want blood only if the suspect meets their criteria. Nevermind that black people are being gunned down by their own every weekend in liberal cities. Nothing to see here. But if a cop is involved, even if justified in the use of force, the wokeists will call for heads.

I also think that one of the major problems we have in this country is the tiered system we find ourselves living in. How does a judge in chicago know what the average beat COP goes through on a daily basis when that judge lives in the upper echelons of chicago society.
The same with high society. Who cares if John Kerry’s private plane emitted 30 times more carbons than did the average car last year? Who cares? CFC’s, water and air pollution, all the things he warns us against, he does all the time.
