Everyone Brandi Grayson doesn’t like is a racist
Who knew? Madison’s Tenant Resource Center, founded by Brenda Konkle, the doyenne of Progressive Dane, is racist!? So says, anyway, Brandi Grayson, candidate for alder on the April 6 ballot.
Ms. Grayson is the lady who blockades Madison rush hour traffic and runs the social justice boutique Urban Triage, a beneficiary of taxpayer largesse.
She was after the $7.5 million the federal government is showering on the City of Madison to prevent home eviction. But the city devolved 90% of the money on Tenant Resource Center (TRC) and 10% to other agencies, including some unspecified portion to her Urban Triage and others. So Brandi Grayson rallied her social justice warriors.
“The city chose their favorite white organization to serve Black people,” Brandi Grayson stormed on-line. … It is white supremacy in ACTION. … It is paternalism in action.”
Urban Triage Facebook friend Megan Berge had the temerity to seek clarification (while itemizing her woke bonafides):
“TRC is a unique resource in our community. I am happy to go to bat for you and follow your direction, but the last time I interacted with TRC, I worked with Alix Shabazz. Brenda Konkel works closely with black activists. And their current director is a POC [person of color].
I’m not asking you to explain a concept or historical moment I can easily Google, such as generational wealth or white privilege or Tuskegee experiment; we are asking you to help us understand the why so we can be better informed. … I was under the impression that they were an organization of allies.”
Grayson answered (in effect) ‘cuz I said so!:
“Trust Black people & Black women. Everything that we don’t have time to explain or educate when we are out here doin the work & organising right now? when I say that their anti Black I mean it…its not made up. And whether I give you exact moments of their anti Blackness should matter not based on the fact alone.”
Still puzzled, Megan pressed:
“I am happy to register in opposition, but are you opposing TRC getting and distributing the money? If so, I guess I did not realize this was a white-centered org. Do you have anymore information to share to help us understand?”
Whereupon Alix Shabazz stepped to the keyboard to pile on Megan Berge “Don’t tokenize me. I left the TRC years ago.”
Properly shamed, Ms. Berge abased herself: “I was wrong. I apologize.”
Whereupon one Michael Yaker contributed this: “The City County Building is A S [* * *] Stain on the Fabric of Democracy.”
Apparently taken aback, Megan asked “What???”
Yaker (listed as a “Top Fan” of Urban Triage”) explained: “The City of Madison is based out of that building The fascist she refers too who make these decisions have there offices in the City County Building.”
Blaska’s Bottom Line: A Progressive Dane mayor, nine PD alders and more who vote with them, a Progressive Dane service provider. Not Good Enough. Just like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, not good enough for Portland. It never will be.

Is the talented Ms. Grayson really as illiterate as her slobbering, misspelled responses would indicate. If she is, would that be the result of her being VictimHoodied by Systemic Racism/White Supremacist/Paternalism most foul?

Madison ought to be a warning to Biden. No matter how hard you pander to the left, it will only incite them to hate you more. A long standing mistake both liberals and conservatives miss is failing to see that radical leftists MAIN enemy is liberalism, not conservatism. During the LBJ Sixties, this was obvious, a time when the enemy was “corporate LIBERALISM.” Perhaps that day is coming around again now.

Brandi believes that all white people are white supremacists. I listened to the Common Council meeting last week, and other meetings, and she has made that point loudly. I really don’t believe that she can win the seat, if she does, she would need to work with a few white people. I don’t see that going well for her, as she is so anti white. She certainly doesn’t represent me.

As shown by the compliant apologies white progressives quickly provide (no doubt to avoid Maoesque struggle sessions were they to try to stand their ground) many whites will vote for her, whether out of shame, Stockholm Syndrome, virtue-signaling, and/or to avoid the certain accusations of “racist white supremacist Madison!!!!” that will be loudly heard should she not win the seat.

I think we need a recount seeing there was only a 13% population of black voting capacity when Obama got elected. No way did the other 86% vote in “the first black president” (have to state that in a pc manner by the way so I’m not called a racist) . Did everyone get an absentee ballot in 2008?

And a good chunk of those 60’s radicals — especially in Madison — are Near West & Near East Side aging whites living in comfort, kicking back in the sitting rooms of their lovingly restored Craftsman homes, the BLM/”We believe….” signs in the front yard for maximum virtue-signaling effect…. and a good bit of insurance against busted windows.

Are you talking about the special luxury condominium owners/apt on East Washington Ave that convinced the developers who convinced the city’s First Lady to keep all homeless shelters away from their Starbuck havens and push them to the far edges on Madison? That very special crowd? The special crowd who has everything for their luxury lifestyles? This didn’t happen when Kohls food store closed at corner of E Wash and Milwaukee st. A huge amount of residents had no place to go anymore. But, wow the luxury crowd got their Festival foods in a heartbeat. Mayor is bowing down to these rich developers alright. Surprised the area doesn’t have their own police force, no broken windows that I can see.

I sometimes am given to long posts, but I shall try to be succinct
What we have been witnessing for some years now, is classic “Munchausen Syndrome” (MS) , along with “Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy” (MSP), played out on a societal basis.
The “victims”, desperate for attention, rely on “symptoms” (grievances), both real (and greatly exaggerated), and manufactured, to garner special status.
The “proxies” provide the “symptoms”, sometimes causing them. By doing this, they, as the “parent”, gain their own special status.
This toxic symbiotic relationship is destructive to all involved. The “victim”, to ensure future benefits and attention, MUST remain a “victim”. If concessions and attention are the goal, they must by necessity go after those most likely to provide it (proxies).
Well, that’s a “rough-out” of what we are seeing. I said I’d make it short, but it’s getting longer, so I’ll stop.

Isn’t strange but true. Here in Madison, and I suspect in many other places around the country that are like Madison, there is that upper crust of society who were formally 60’s liberals who are now in places of power living in places like Shorewood Hills or Maple Bluff. (I’m thinking of L.A., San Francisco, Portland, Seattle.) Imagine, going from being a hippy in the 60’s to living in a million + dollar house in a suburb of Madison and holding down an executive position that pays better than a half a million a year.
Looking at the world from that vantage point, it is easy to see that in order to assuage your guilty conscience so you want to help the downtrodden who don’t have anything near what you have. In order to do so, you demand that others in the middle class pay more to help the downtrodden who don’t have anything. Only thing is that the people in the middle class that you demand the money from don’t have anything near what you have either.
It is easy to pontificate to the people in the middle class, that in order to be in the IN crowd, they have to be like you and give more. You don’t understand that the people you are talking to, consider a $8.00 bottle of wine to be a lot of money and a $20.00 a bottle wine to be a luxury. Where you spend $60.00 on a bottle of everyday wine. You prostrate yourself before all the people to show just how you “care”, then get back into your Mercedes SUV and drive back to your million dollar home.
I’ve met and worked for people like this in my life. They are not on the surface bad people, they just don’t get it. From their vantage point they see the world as unjust to the downtrodden. It is just they don’t want the downtrodden, in their back yard.
Christ had a name for such a people: Hypocrites

And just to expand on that last thought that I had. What we are witnessing here is the downtrodden finally seeing the progressives as people just pandering to them. The downtrodden now want what those in Shorewood Hills and Maple Bluff have. They are not content with public housing and food stamps and free medical care. They want what the rich have. Only thing is that like the rich, they don’t want to work for it.
They just want to take it.
What we have here is a ballet of death, a true circular firing squad, the death of civilization.
For you see, neither side see’s the reality. The reality being that in order for the downtrodden to get what they want, they have to destroy civilization. That reality is lost on the 60’s hippy rich as well.

According to a 2013 Madison.com article Michael Yaker, whose name is bold-faced in Squire’s post, was arrested for stalking and threatening county officials with Emails and a large axe. A carpenter by trade, he was not awarded a contract for building a county park shelter. He drew an axe in chalk on the sidewalk in front of CityCounty building, sharpened his axe inside the building and brought it to a forum where officials were present. Article was written by reporter Ed Treleven. Let’s hope axeman doesn’t join forces with the baseball bat thug.
