Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Madison police did not kill Anisa

Paint that mural on your busted-out storefront plywood!

Credit where it is due. Brandi Grayson and a smattering of other BLM activists have stepped up to comment on the tragedy of Anisa Marie Scott’s death. (As a follow-up to “Why is BLM silent?”)

Ms. Grayson is the proprietor of Urban Triage and veteran disrupter of rush-hour traffic and democracy in the name of Black Lives Matter. She told the outdoor memorial service for the 11-year-old girl Thursday (08-13-2020), “On the one hand we’re protesting and saying all Black lives matter. We’re asking systems to stop killing us and on the other hand, we’re killing ourselves.”

Which is our point. The obsessive, agenda-driven campaign to destroy the police was always about destabilizing society for Marxist revolution. Aside from outlier incidents like the George Floyd death, police are not killing Black people; Black people are killing Black people.

It does no one any good to pretend otherwise, least of all for the sake of tomorrow’s Anisas. Unless your head is swathed in aluminum foil, no one believes the 11-year-old’s killer was a tiki torch-bearing “classic Wisconsin frat boy,” as the lighter fluid fabulist Althea Bernstein might put it.

Orpheum not kill Anisa

What good has BLM done?

Think about it. All those smashed windows. All those looted stores and toppled statues. All those taxpayer-financed plywood murals pronouncing Black power, revolution, and revenge. A terminally “woke” city government controlled by anti-cop Progressive Dane, a political party to the Left of Bernie Sanders, handcuffing the police, proposing bans on non-lethal weapons, creating a police “monitor” with subpoena power lest one officer collar the wrong color.

All while Black people are being gunned down on Madison’s streets. Not By The Police! As Ald. Barbara Harrington-McKinney noted on Wednesday, “Anisa was shot not by the racist actions of some police, but by the reckless act of shooting into a car she was a passenger in.” The disease cannot be cured without being diagnosed:

“The danger of the Black Lives Movement”

by Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute

Every year, approximately 6,000 blacks are murdered. This is a number greater than white and Hispanic homicide victims combined, even though blacks are only 13% of the national population. …

Who is killing them? Not the police, and not white civilians, but other blacks. The astronomical black death-by-homicide rate is a function of the black crime rate. Black males between the ages of 14 and 17 commit homicide at 10 times the rate of white and Hispanic male teens combined.

The nation’s police killed 987 civilians in 2015, according to a database compiled by The Washington Post. Whites were 50 percent — or 493 — of those victims, and blacks were 26% — or 258. … The black violent crime rate would actually predict that more … police victims would be black.

Civic malpractice

What a fatal policy screw-up by Madison progressives! How can a city’s entire power structure — from Mayor Satya (Recall 2020!) to its MIA state legislators — be gulled, fooled, and hoodwinked by a handful of bullhorn-toting race-guilt hustlers into demonizing the police?

Back at that balloon launch for the little girl at Brittingham Park (recounted in the WI State Journal), Ebony Anderson-Carter (the community organizer last seen in Lake Mills) hit at the Black community’s code of omerta.

“It’s a shame the community and the people who do know [the identity of Anisa’s murderer] wouldn’t even pull together and give up the person who did this.”  This will be good news to Madison police who say they are being stonewalled by witnesses in the Garner Park shoot-out and other crimes.

Let’s climb farther out on the limb: Many of the people watching those balloons ascend know full good and well the identity of the shooter. This was not some random happenstance. Killer and intended target (the driver of the car in which Anisa was a passenger) know each other.

BLM — in Madison WI, at least — may have have been yanked into a course correction. “Just like police brutality is a cycle the repeats itself, how Black people treat Black people … is also a cycle that needs to be looked at,” Ms. Anderson-Carter recognizes.

Blaska’s Bottom LineThat may be Anisa Marie Scott’s lasting legacy. She may have made the grown-ups … grow up.

They had a slight epiphany. It’s a start, I guess, but too little, too late.

So much damage has been done already, much of it based on false narratives, so forgive me if I don’t kneel in front of them and thank them for their words of wisdom.

I’m not holding my breath. In the Victimhood, their mantra of “systemic racism” absolves them of any responsibility.

While some may be true believers, I think most of our elected leaders just lack courage and integrity, bending whichever way the wind blows for their own best interests.

Here’s one that did make national news: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/08/13/us/north-carolina-boy-killed/index.html
Will this be charged as a hate crime?

What a shame that a few hundred moms and concerned citizens couldn’t come together to form a Moms Opposing Violence Entirely (or something). Open it up to everyone- regardless of politics, color, or gender(s) etc. No matter what you’re mad about, (cops, hate crimes, gangs, anarchists, etc), work to FIX something. Get those statistics that you cited out to the public. Peacefully protest, support victims, encourage MPD participation. Commandeer one of the profanity laced panels downtown, and plagiarize the “Lorraine Schneider poster”, (Violence Is Not Healthy For Children, And Other Living Things). List the victims publicly, everywhere, and keep doing it. Imagine if people across the entire spectrum of Madison life actually TALKED, and united their efforts against a REAL danger that threatens EVERY citizen of EVERY age. What could happen? —– Thousands of folks either read this blog, or know some one who does. One of them should take this idea and Run With It, and make a POSITIVE difference. (not holding my breath)
