“It looks like the [House] prosecutors got cold feet,” U.S. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell said today (12-19-19 on the floor of the Senate. “They couldn’t wait for due process but are content [now] to sit on their own hands.”
The articles, he said, “are constitutionally incoherent … because one party cannot accept the people’s choice in 2016.” As Alexander Hamilton warned in Federalist #65, “a partisan faction in the lower chamber has succumbed to partisan rage.”
To subject the full Senate to a lengthy impeachment trial on charges so flimsy would invite a farrago of articles that would “swamp the Senate with trial after trial to paralyze the Senate at their whim.”
If you love the Constitution. If you respect the will of the people. If you believe in due process, do watch Sen. McConnell’s one-half hour statement.

President Trump has been impeached by the United States House of Representatives without one shred of evidence that the President committed a crime, in fact they didn’t even impeach him for a crime.
The Democrats stepped up to the microphone and were one by one claiming that they needed to impeachment the President because there was a clear and present danger to National Security if the President remained in office and then what do they do immediately after passing the Articles of Impeachment, they choose to sit on it and refuse to send it to the Senate for trial. It’s transparent that the Democrats openly LIED on the House floor to intentionally deceive the American people in order to get this partisan pile of sh*t rammed through the House. The Democrats knew this innuendo based, no facts, no crime, partisan sham of an impeachment was not going to pass a Senate trial before they voted for it; you simply cannot go to trial without any facts to support the non-crimes that they chose to impeached the President with.
No crime, no facts, innuendo based 100% partisan hackery impeachment. The only thing non-partisan in the impeachment voting was the opposition to the impeachment.
Every House member that voted for the Articles of Impeachment violated their oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. I hope absolutely every member of the House that voted for the two articles of impeachment gets voted out of office and replace with moderate Liberals or Moderate Conservatives instead of these political extremists that are abusing their power and bastardizing the United States Constitution – this is intentional subversion. The soft coup continues and too much of the political left condones it.
If it’s legally possible to do so; I think this impeachment should be challenged in the United States Supreme Court.
