“Tech entrepreneur” Andrew Yang told the Democrats at Wednesday’s debate it is already too late on climate change. “We have to move to higher ground.”
Experts Warn We Have only 12 Years Left until they Change the Timeline on Global Warming Again — Babylon Bee.

Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, watch out for this guy!
Over two nights this past week, the 20 Democrats on stage (with more in the wings) reminded the cynical white lab coats at Blaska Policy Werkes of game show contestants. Think Family Feud or, for my generation, Let’s Make a Deal.” Maybe the SNL parody of Jeopardy hosted by Will Ferrell.
Rush Limbaugh on Hannity Thursday night was mesmerizing. The one guest that Hannity did not interrupt mid-sentence. The wireless crystal set at the Policy Werkes is not set to either, normally, but give the man his due. Rush started it all in 1988 — eight years before Fox News. But Limbaugh on Hannity 08-01-19 captured the zeitgeist once again. What’s with the sour disposition of the Democrats running for President; almost all of them bleating that America Was Never Great.
This is how Democrats see America. … They look out over this landscape, they see nothing but suffering. They don’t see anybody other than in paind, victims of this victims of that; they position thsemlves as the ones who can fix it. They talk about jobs not careers. They do not offer anything uplifting. … — We link it here.
The Gong Show gong sounds for …
Peggy Noonan says “It’s past time for “Beto O’Rourke, Bill de Blasio and Kirsten Gillibrand to get off the stage.” The white lab coats here at the Werkes would add Cory Booker. We find him essentially unlikeable — smug, superior, and shallow as a cat’s saucer. “Without the word racism … Cory Booker could not construct a sentence,” — Joseph Epstein in the Wall Street Journal
⇒ “I find myself fretting that none of these Democrats can beat Donald Trump.” — Frank Bruni in the NY Times.
Instead, Ms. Noonan wants more Tulsi Gabbard, John Delaney and spiritual faith healer Marianne Williamson. At least Marianne is entertaining.
About Tulsi, Peggy says “she’s got guts.” So much so that rank & file Democrats are accusing HER of being a Russian agent. (They’re everywhere!) We like that Gabbard is one Democrat who dares stray from party orthodoxy just as Trump dissed the Bushes and their wars of liberation.
Beto is all flash, no policy. Jumping up on tables is not a policy. Kirsten reminds me of Madison schools chief Jennifer Cheatham, foolishly apologizing for her white privilege and defenestrating Al Franken. de Blasio has NOTHING to say except that his mixed-race son should fear the police. No wonder New Yorkers feel free to dump buckets of water on his police officers. Is that what we want for America?
Put Tony Little, the Sham Wow Guy, and the late Billy Mays,
on the next CCN debate stage; at least THEY moved product!
Attack ads are writing themselves
Timothy Egan in the NY Times was even more coruscating.
You know the presidential debates this week were a disaster for Democrats because Republican attack ads are already parroting the lines used by the leading candidates: Take away people’s private health care, decriminalize the border, socialism! And rather than effectively prosecute the easy case against the worst president ever, the Democrats went after one of the best: Barack Obama.
Sanders, as wild-eyed, scowling and angry as an Old Testament prophet on the downside of the prediction racket, is a sloganeer. Like all sloganeers, he has simplistic ideas; they sound best when shouted through a bullhorn.
A world of his own
⇒ “Why Was Trumponomics a Flop? Neither tax cuts nor tariffs are working.” — who else but Enron adviser Paul Krugman?! Meanwhile on Page One of the same NY Times:
Economy adds 164,000 jobs, wages up 3.2% over year before, “Job gains were fairly broad-based across different sectors,” said Gregory Daco, chief economist of Oxford Economics USA. “This was a good jobs report overall.”
Blaska’s Bottom Line: A party that will not denounce Al Sharpton will Make America Burn Again. “Al Sharpton is not a lifelong fighter for justice Democrats have rushed to his side this week. But he’s never reckoned with his past anti-Semitic rhetoric.” — op ed in the Washington Post.
For Extra Credit: “There’s no one else in the Democrat(ic) primary quite like Tulsi Gabbard.”
I recall talk radio listening clients & associates delighted with a New Kid On The Block (The Rushinator) who was making rumblings 35 years ago.
wiki: “His talk show began in 1984 at Sacramento, California radio station KFBK,” but really took off after the 1987 (un)Fairness Doctrine repeal.
While The Gotch is not his biggest fan, the guy has a knack for making a point, not unlike another local Conservative Activist…

Hannity was congratulating Rush for 31 years on the air but he may have meant nationally.

Always love the wisdom of those, who like Tulsi, say we should just bring the troups home.
Sure, but before we do, PLEESE tell us what is then likely to unfold…………and whether we can or should live with the unintended consequences.
Would we use nukes to preserve Israel? Among other questions, that is one question that I would require legitmate candidates answer.
And, the unintended implications of a “New Isolationism”?

It’s troops. It’s PLEASE. Israel loves the US because we keep sending them checks. They have over 200 lobbyists in DC. Why? Handouts. Let them go to the peace table in good faith and settle their crap. The attitude is “we have all the guns, we don’t have to talk.”

Tulsi: Ron Paul and the libertarian wackos love her. ‘Nuff said.

Best moment in all the Dem debates was when Tulsi (quel babe!) did to Kamala what Kamala did to Bernie. Hands down. Boy would I love to hear the Clintons handicapping the Dem candidates.

I need to research Tulsi more, but am so far LOVING that she’s been rated high by NAPO on crime & law enforcement.

She strikes me as being moderate & articulate, a breath of fresh air from the PHONIES & RADICALS who’ve hijacked the party. Perhaps the Democratic has a chance of salvaging itself after all.
Agreed about Cory Booker. He has always struck me as pompous and insincere. Reminds me of another local politician.

Ironically, it’s because the Democratic party has become so radicalized that I’ve taken a closer look at libertarianism. Treating adults like adults? I’ll take it!
