Impeachment just left town with Slim and None
Was it all one big cover-up?
Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and their Democrat(ic) colleagues are suffering from flash burns. They smell of cordite. Their carefully coifed hair is singed. The power ties are smoldering. Vulnerable Democrats first elected last year are pleading “Stop, already!”
Be careful what you ask for. America did, indeed, get a closer look at Robert Mueller’s report on Russian collusion; What they saw was an empty suitcase.
To the Democrats’ dismay, for the old narrative of Trump/Russian collusion, the Mueller hearing substituted FBI/Hillary collusion.

The special counsel’s “befuddled” testimony suggests that the real Manchurian candidate, manipulated by other forces, was not Donald Trump after all. It was Robert Mueller III.
Was it an inside job?
We learned that Mueller’s crew was populated exclusively by long-time FBI and Justice Department hands and Democrat(ic) party donors — in many cases, both. Peter Strozek was only the most egregious Trump hater, the one who got caught.
That institutional crew early on made the calculated decision to shelter the FBI, the Justice Department … and leading Democrats from any scrutiny of their own .. involvement with 2016 Russian election interference.
So says Kimberley Strassel in her Wall Street Journal piece, “What Mueller was trying to hide”:
The most notable aspect of the Mueller report was always what it omitted: the origins of this mess. Christopher Steele’s dossier was central to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s probe, the basis of many of the claims of conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. Yet the Mueller authors studiously wrote around the dossier, mentioning it only in perfunctory terms. The report ignored Mr. Steele’s paymaster, Fusion GPS, and its own ties to Russians. It also ignored Fusion’s paymaster, the Clinton campaign, and the ugly politics behind the dossier hit job. …
Mr. Mueller claimed he couldn’t answer questions about the dossier because it “predated” his tenure and is the subject of a Justice Department investigation. These excuses are disingenuous. Nearly everything Mr. Mueller investigated predated his tenure …
Was Steele dossier itself Russian disinformation?
How could a special-counsel investigation into “Russia’s interference” have any credibility if it failed to look into whether the Steele dossier was itself disinformation from Moscow? Mr. Steele acknowledges that senior Russian officials were the source of his dossier’s claims of an “extensive conspiracy.” Given that no such conspiracy actually existed, Rep. Gaetz asked: “Did Russians really tell that to Christopher Steele, or did he just make it up and was he lying to the FBI?”
Mr. Mueller surreally responded: “As I said earlier, with regard to Steele, that is beyond my purview.”
Blaska’s Bottom Line: The worm has turned. This Mueller business is making the attempted Kavanaugh lynching look like Boys’ Town.Next up: A.G. Barr and Inspector General Horowitz.

If Trump or the AG would just retrieve the total email files of Lynch, Comey, Obama, Brennan, and a few others, a more clear picture would arise. A detailed review of all communications by these people would, I think, shock most Americans.
In reality, we know so little about the ‘real facts,’ simply because those with power are not using it. The public still lacks transparency about the day-by-day activities of so many players.

And what of those tiresome references that none “are above the law” ? Lock ’em up.
I just can’t help but wonder: if Trump thought he was innocent of everything, why did he never offer to be interviewed or testify with Mueller? Why did he lawyer up twelve times over? Those don’t seem like actions of an innocent person.
Simple. Comey, Muellar, Clapper, Brennan and many co conspirators were out to bring him down before his first day in office. The fly declined to enter the spider’s den.
Not good enough. You don’t prove your innocence by bad mouthing your opponent and then not putting your money where your mouth is.
@Michael Mores;
“Why did he lawyer up twelve times over?”
I’m not The Donald’s biggest fan, but Lefty, and the complicit Lefty press, have been after him since June 16, 2015.
Funniest thing; that date eerily coincides with his declaring his candidacy for the President of the United States.
“Those don’t seem like actions of an innocent person.”
You implying that “if you’re innocent you have nothing to worry about?”
Tell that to “Coach Rob” Mueller-Owens, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Andy Ngo, the Duke LaCrosse players, Nick Sandmann, Eric Sparkes, or any of the numerous others whose only crime (except for Sparkes) was lack of ”proper” ideological certification.
A story as old as time itself; when Lefty “installs” a victim in their craven sights, the bedrock legal principle of “presumed innocence” flies out the window.
The Gotch
Because it is a standard prosecutor’s trick to interview someone one day and then months later re-interview, find a discrepancy, and charge false testimony.
The trap was simple. If Trump were to make even ONE error in his interview, the crime of perjury. If you’ll remember, just a casual greeting at a public event, in front of many people, was sufficient for the Dem’s to claim Sessions had a meeting with Russian Foreign Secretary that he didn’t include in his initial statement. Of course it was an error of form and not substance, but the narrow technical error was used by the Dem’s to force him to recuse himself.
If Trump said anything that was even slightly in error, oceans of red flags of perjury would have be sent up the flagpole and the “high crime” justification for impeachment would have been met. As Blaska notes below, they wanted to trap him, just as they tried to trap Carter Page and as they are still using Roger Stone in an attempt discover a firm link between Russia and Trump.
Haven’t you been paying attention?
Giving someone the chance to tell the truth isn’t a trap. If he can’t get his story straight after repeated interviews, then maybe there’s something wrong that should be investigated. Please explain how I’m wrong here.
What, exactly, were YOU doing on October 24th, 2017 at 3:30 PM, Mike?
EXACTLY. Not “maybe,” not “I think,” not “Probably….” EXACTLY, and EXACTLY at that time on that day.
What is this? Law and Order? I was thinking more along the lines of “why did you lie to the American people during the campaign when you told us you were not working on Trump Tower Moscow”?
And yes, I fully know real estate deals are not a crime. Lying about it is dishonest.
If you start with the “why did you lie to the American people about…” stuff, he’d NEVER be able to stop talking. Even righties like Gootch and Splat admit he’s a liar. Dad? Ditherspoon? Can we get a consensus?
” ‘why did you lie to the American people about…’ stuff.”
If you could reverse bending WAY over in a…um…blindly obsequious, welcoming manner, would you ask the same of Hopey Changey, Hillarity, Gruber, Rhodes, et al.?
Bet you, (heh!) wish Lefty Clown Car Caravan Cavalcade front-runner Jabberin’ Joe WOULD lie more.
Or just lie by omission/silence by keeping his imbecilic, groping, pervert pie-hole shut, am I right?
The Gotch
Michael, you have clearly NEVER been deposed. Learn something before you run your rhetorical pie-hole.
That said: Mueller stated (under oath) that Trump gave him everything he asked for; that there was no interference from Trump at all during the “investigation”.
Of course, Mueller stated (under oath) that he did not apply for the FBI director job. Whoooopsie!! That was perjury.
He was already guilty to all his many prosecutors, didn’t matter for what. “Show me the man and I’ll show you a crime” as the saying went in the Soviet Union.
How many times were we told that “17 intel agencies all agreed that Russia hacked, attacked whacked and stacked our election? Yet none can find a single vote that was changed by anything or anyone from Russia?
How many times were we told that the Steele Dossier was corroborated?
How many times was Muellar praised for his non partisan super excellent perspicacity?
Obama and the Washington Party have made DC as dishonest as Chicago.
C’mon IG Horowitz Report. Then get him in a hearing or two.
Rolling Stone Magazine, 7/25/2019, under “Politics”.
“The Myth Of Robert Mueller, Exploded”
Excerpts:
“Atlantic magazine did not seem ridiculous when it depicted him, cape-clad, above a headline reading: Batman. Superman. Boyfriend. Savior.”
“Donald Trump really screwed up this time, we were told, trading the “anguished Hamlet” James Comey for the “adamantine Marine” Mueller. He picked the fight with the wrong G-Man!”
And then it gets better….
Somebody dosed Mueller with the same stuff they gave Ford-Blasey before she went on to testify at the Kavanaugh hearings.
The Stupid Pill?
Get ready for a massive deep state frog march!!!
No surprise here that Mr. Blaska has toadied right up to the Trump vat of Jonestown cocktails to
dutifully consume his share. Sure, it wasn’t riveting TV on the 25th, but how many 75 year olds
could have done better, except maybe Sir Paul McCartney who can still rock out at 78. Lest we
forget, Mueller is a former marine who volunteered to serve in Vietnam, was highly decorated
nnd came home to end u on the Army Ranger Hall of Fame. What was Donald Trump doing?
He stayed at home while daddy bought some shaky bonespur diagnosis from a doctor friend in
New York City. Trump laster said that this “vietname” was avoiding STDs in the big City. When
Mueller was running back onto a battlefield in Vietnam under live fire to pull a wounded mARINE
to safety, President Bonespur was navigating the dangerouw waters of Std in Manhattan
Mueller is one of the most honorable men o the public scene, Trump is a well documented liar.
And yet, Mr. Blaska once again sides with the lying orang clown. Trump isn’t even qualified to shine Mueller’s boots, let alone stand toe to toe with a genuine American hero. For anyone who
bothered to listen carefully, the Mueller testimony was powerful and truthful Those re two taiits
we will never see from Donald Trump As for impeachment, Blaska says the train has left
town. Won’t be long before it comes roaring back into the station. And then, just maybe, the
biggest swamp creature in Washington wiil finally be headed back to his comfortable populist
lair in Manhattan, where he can rejoin the common folk and all the little people. Then it will be
on to prisibm where he can live out his days with his own kind.
That “honorable” man took a helluvalotta money to do …..ahh…….not much, and then to forget everything in a report that HE SIGNED. That “honorable” man drove an innocent man to suicide in the ‘anthrax’ case in DC, and persecuted–in grievous error–an innocent man in the ATL bombing case. He imprisoned innocent men to protect his snitch in Boston–and those men were in Club Fed for 20 years.
He’s not honorable. He’s a lying sack of shit who USED to be honorable–until he left the USMC.
The rule of law. Your presumed innocent. You can’t prove a negative. The worst part of all this is trying to smear Trump with. Well I couldn’t exonerate him. That is not under your purview. No charges filed means, shut the Frack up! Trump is quite good at saying stupid things, but your Trump derangement syndrome, is really tiresome.
Back in 2017 Kimberly Strassel, said they may have it all wrong, Putin was trying to stop Trump with Sreele dossier. It makes more sense, since why would Putin want an unknown in the Whitehouse? When he already owned Hilary, several times, and truly had dirt on her with Uranium deal, and her corrupt foundation.
Even Michael the PIG Moore has had enough.

Well said!
Thank you for agreeing to testify here today Mr. Mueller.
Uh, is that why I’m here?
Yes Bob it is.
Okay if you say so.
Now Mr. Mueller, Joseph Mifsud lied three times to the FBI and yet no indictment, why is that?
Err, ahh, umm, that’s outside my purview, cannot discuss internal deliberations.
What? How can that be outside your purview??
I refer you to my, err, the report.
Okay, moving on to simpler topics.
Mr. Mueller do you know where you are?
Ahh, ummm, err, again that’s outside my purview.
Wow, okay then, how about what planet are you on?
Well, I’ll have to refer you to my, err, the A. Weissmann report which I stand by as really really objective and ahh, umm, hmmm, what are all these people doing here staring at me?
Batbrain: Dave spanked you once before, epically, for this kind of ageist “humor.” Didn’t you get the memo?
Gosh bobo; you really are hitting the Lefty Kool-Aid early today.
So enlighten us Mr. self appointed censor; just what is and is not fair game for humor?
In fact while you’re at it, explain what can and cannot be critiqued and exactly how.
PS. Dave is one of my biggest fans, he gave me a lab coat today.
Well, for starters, humor needs to be funny. Second, Dave presenting you with a lab coat fell under the heading of sarcasm.
Anony, Dave does not discuss internal deliberations. Now put down the banana! It is NOT a phone, Mr. Mueller.
Mr. Mueller, does the name George Washington ring a bell with you?
No. He was not in my purview, either. Is that question on the screen? Where is the screen? Please wipe my drool.
What is it with conservatives and their dearth of humor?
There you go again bobo not making sense.
You’re just really really angry and embarrassed your champion has been exposed as a pathetic, albeit highly dangerous dupe for the corrupt Lefty machine.
But hey, Mueller became much richer just for sleeping through it all.
“(T)he former special counsel (Robert Mueller III) seemed remarkably weak. He looked dazed and confused as he listened, mouth agape, to his questioners, often struggling to identify who was talking. He stammered, licked his lips, consulted his aide and begged forbearance.” (bolds mine)
Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, Levin, Coulter…?
Stay tuned***.
Another reaction to the same proceedings; though privacy concerns, and HIPPA, prevent unmasking their identity, his initials are @AnonyBob:
“he (Robert Mueller III) gave a solid, professional, lawyerly performance yesterday and didn’t give in to partisanship.”
Aptly bestowed, well-scrutinized high praise, am I right?
Not exactly.

The Gotch
Mueller generally gave clipped, one or two word answers to the Dems as they worked to emphasize the report. He made the Repugs repeat their questions and then took his time not answering, eating up their time as they tried to discredit him. He knows how cross examinations work; he knew what he was doing.
And with today’s kiss and make up between Pelosi and AOC, and the Judiciary Committee’s action, impeachment suddenly picked up a lot of steam. Congress now has 5 weeks back to get yelled at to do something about Trump. Keep on telling yourselves how much “winning” you’re getting.

@AnonyBob;
“he knew what he was doing.”
SAY WHAT??? You done Tokyo Rose proud!
Allow me to humbly recommend you have Amazon Prime ship some of those Industrial-Strength-Thickened-Weapons-Grade-Hardened reality-filtering ideological blinders (which have worked so well for you) to the NYT, Dana Milbank, David Axelrod, CNN, Chuck Todd, et al; they saw something completely different.

Perhaps they could try putting a copy of the Mueller report in every hotel room, along side the Bible?
