Welcome to Milwaukee, national Democrats

Do Democrats even ride Harleys?

Welcome Democrats to Wisconsin in the presidential election year 2020. Missed you in 2016.

You’re bringing your national convention to good ol’ Milwaukee next year.

20180821-daley-protests-1200x630

What do you mean, you won’t sign my Bible?

Our liberal-progressive-socialist acquaintances should thank Scott Walker. He fought to build the new FiServ Forum, which will host the convention. Not holding our breath.

Completed just in time to be home court to the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks. Team veep Alex Lasry said the convention “is an unprecedented opportunity to put Milwaukee on the international stage like never before.”

The convention, of course, will be powered by hot wind energy.

  • The Policy Werkes nominates Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to deliver the keynote address — on economic policy. Non-dairy creamer, coming up!
  • Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Damascus will chair the foreign affairs platform committee.
  • We’ll hear from Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam on race relations and his lieutenant governor on the #MeToo movement.
  • Perhaps Gov. Tony Evers can persuade the party to admit illegal … (Excuse me!) “undocumented” aliens as voting delegates. Of course, they’ll need credentials.
  • John Nichols will be Bernie Sanders’ floor manager. “Venezuela casts all 50 of its delegate votes to the next socialist president of …”
  • Expect a Tammy for vice president boomlet.

The First Wisconsin skyscraper will be lit up pink just like New York’s One World Trade Center to celebrate late-term abortion. Should be quite a sight.

Milwaukee over Houston and Miami Beach! Free beer for everyone! Who’s buying?

Democrats believe they can wrest our state from the Donald Trump column. Party managers may question whether it wants to continue to position itself as pro-socialist, pro-abortion, anti-semitic, and against self defense. Milwaukee ain’t Madison, Mark Pocan.

Pro-socialist? “The Democrats’ frightening embrace of socialism.

Pro-abortion? “Why the party of ‘safe, legal and rare’ can no longer bring itself to oppose even infanticide.”

Anti-semitic? “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” — thus sayeth the Democratic Rep from Damascus.

Against self defense? Of a pre-Civil War black emancipation hero: “If he were alive today, he would be a member of the N.R.A. or the National African-American Gun Association. “Can you imagine what would have happened had he not had his guns?” [he] would have left no stone unturned to maintain his defense. In that sense, he is not unlike our law-abiding citizens today who are protecting their constitutional rights.” — in Sunday’s New York Times (of all places).

How typical of the “my glass is totally empty” crowd that lives in this blog. Not a word about all the hard work done to get the convention here. The Milw Common Council voted 9-0 for it. Unheard of. The contract that was signed says the city will not be on the hook for ANY costs and backed up by a line of credit. In 2016 their convention brought Philly over 230 million. With money like that maybe they can fix a few potholes when it’s over. Unlike the gop who lives to pick the pockets of the taxpayer (Foxconn) this one is a freebie for the state. Even Vos likes it. Congrats and thanks to everyone who worked to make this happen.

Shocker, you’re missing the point by a wide margin.

Hopey Changey flew riiiiiiiiight over the Dairy State,(from MinnyHaHa to The Fiscal Failure Down Under) a mere four days before the 2012 Recall Election.

Hillarity took us for granted, and, welp, we all know how THAT turned out, am I right?

This is just a perverted sop to make idiot Lefties think that their handlers really really like Wisconsin; based on your comment, it looks like it’s working.

Anywho, it’ll be a laugh-a-minute with the Lefty Keystone Kop Klown Kar Kollective just down I-94 E & falling all over themselves trying to come up with more More MORE high quality/quantity free $#!t with which to bribe their uneducated, gimmee gimmee base.

NO! You missed MY point. How about giving some credit to all the people who put this together. The convention will bring in over 200 million dollars. Money sorely needed by the people of Milw. Talking about Obama and Hillary is meaningless. Showing that your full of yourself and love your own slobbering wordsmithing is also meaningless. Be sure to buy your popcorn from Vos; business is down due the hard winter.

A convention is a one off. Foxconn or Amazon have monthly payrolls and annual taxes. Year after year. See the difference?

This convention isn’t financed by the taxpayers. They didn’t get billions in tax breaks spread over years and then tell us the plans have changed. Foxthecons hasn’t written one payroll check in Wisconsin unless you count the “donations” to the gop.

Actually, Philly’s take was about $182 million.

Odd, no, that the City of Milwaukee ALSO secured a line of credit for this “free” convention. Maybe that was a mistake. Or maybe the Milwaukee line is a backup in case the Democrats fail to pay what they promised.

Or maybe it’s there to repair all the buildings, cars, and streets after the AOC crowd goes 0-for-10 in nominations?

I actually hope that this really boosts the Milwaukee economy and that it’s a peaceful and happy event for all concerned. But I live about 40 miles away from Ground Zero and intend to stay there.
