What have we been saying?
Former mayor Dave Cieslewicz:“There is very little diversity of experience and almost none in perspective on this [Madison school] board. There is, for example, not one school board member who is an employer and who might be concerned about the quality of the work force. There is no school board member who is an advocate for taxpayers or who might be considered a fiscal watch dog. There is no proponent of personal responsibility and not one who would dare question the latest fad coming out of schools of education. … Why shouldn’t at least a couple of the seven members take a different point of view?”Three of the seven school board members’s seat are up for election next April: Ali Muldrow, Ananda Mirilli, and Cris Carusi.

Only he didn’t use the word screwed. … Shor’s model suggests they’ll lose a seat, and so the Senate. But it’s 2024 where things get very grim for them. … Shor’s model predicts they’ll lose seven seats.
This might be the high-water mark of power they’ll have for the next decade. — Ezra Klein, NY Times.

Headline in the New York Times (of course). “Diagnoses for the disorder have soared in the past decade, driven in part by a loophole in regulations. A new study shows the impact has been more severe for black Americans.”
