Three more for restorative justice
12:53 p.m. Sunday — An officer observed three wanted suspects (17-year-old HM, 14-year-old WM and 17-year-old AAM) on McKenna Blvd/Raymond Rd. Two of the suspects took off on foot but were apprehended; one of the suspects stayed and was cooperative. The suspects, all wanted for numerous burglaries and stolen autos from multiple jurisdictions, were conveyed to jail/Juvenile Reception Center for multiple charges.
9:39 p.m. Sunday — Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Troy Drive/Gina Court. A vehicle, with gunshot damage, was located in the area. Areas canvassed and 18 casings were recovered. The vehicle was occupied by a subject/victim (18-year-old AAM) at the time it was shot at. The victim did not sustain any injuries. The victim reported pulling into his residence on Bluff St when the suspect vehicle (with two shooters) began shooting at him/his vehicle. Two residences were found to have been struck by stray bullets; no injuries reported. Incident Report on MPD’s website completed.
On-Star to the rescue
6:38 p.m. Saturday — A victim (77 year-old WF) called police, reporting that her vehicle had been stolen from Wiggies Bar, 1901 Aberg Ave. OnStar tracked the vehicle to the intersection of S. Baldwin St. and E. Washington Ave. OnStar placed an ignition lock on the vehicle to prevent it from moving, and officers were dispatched to the area. Upon contact with the vehicle, three juveniles were seen fleeing from the scene, and a foot pursuit ensued.
Two female suspects (16 year-old AAFs) were apprehended, but the third suspect (17 year-old AAM) escaped. A K9 track was initiated. Both female suspects were arrested and conveyed to JRC on charges of resisting/obstructing an officer and operating a vehicle without consent – passenger (OMVWOC). Probable cause was established for the arrest of the male suspect on charges of resisting/obstructing an officer and OMVWOC – intentionally take & drive.
Walk a mile in someone’s stolen shoes
Armed Robbery – 7:30 p.m. Friday — Officers responded to Churchill Drive for a report of an armed robbery. The victims (16-year-old WM, 16-year-old AAM, 17-year-old WM and 26-year-old AAM) reported setting up an arrangement to a meet a subject who was going to purchase shoes from one of them. The suspect (17-year-old AAM) and another suspect (unidentified AAM) produced handguns and demanded the shoes from the victims. The unidentified suspect reportedly pistol whipped one of the victims in the head before fleeing. Suspects both fled.
