Gov. Tim Walz & Minnesota taxpayers get fleeced

Democrats staggeringly gullible!

Now that Minnesota has retained Paul Bunyan’s axe in its dismal 17 to 7 defeat of the Wisconsin Badgers men’s football team, it’s our privilege to throw a little shade on its governor. You remember Tim Walz, don’t you? Guy the Democrats picked as Kamala’s running mate. (We say again: DJT has been lucky in his opponents.)

“Coach Walz” is presiding over the kind of crisis that would bring down governments in the U.K., cause riots in Haiti, and sink various South Pacific island-nations into the sea. The money graph, please:

“Gov. Tim Walz and fellow Democrats are being asked to explain how so much money was stolen on their watch.”

Not Fox News. Not Steve Bannon. That’s the New York Times. The President’s favorite source of fake news describes the scam as “staggering in its scale and brazenness.” Maybe one billion dollars worth of graft, all perpetrated by Somali immigrants attracted to Minnesota’s progressive welfare honey jar. The scammers brandished the immigrant and race cards as their get-out-of-jail card until Donald Trump’s Justice Department lowered the boom.

Federal prosecutors are charging 86 immigrants with stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from a government program meant to keep children fed, people housed, and autism treated. The meals were never served. No one was housed. Autism went untreated. Instead, the Somali grifters bought luxury cars, houses, and foreign real estate.

Don’t bash them, they’re immigrants

Minnesota’s fraud scandal stood out even in the context of rampant theft during the pandemic, when Americans stole tens of billions through unemployment benefits.

The episode has raised broader questions for some residents about the sustainability of Minnesota’s Scandinavian-modeled system of robust safety net programs bankrolled by high taxes. That system helped create an environment that drew immigrants to the state over many decades, including tens of thousands of Somali refugees. — “How fraud swamped Minnesota’s social services system on Tim Walz’s watch

As the schemes progressed, more red flags than fly at the United Nations plaza began popping up. But Somali scammers warded off closer inspection by playing victims of oppression. The Twin Cities, after all, were Ground Zero for the George Floyd insurrection.

“Elected officials in the state — particularly those who were part of the state’s Democratic-led administration — were reluctant to take more assertive action in response to [racism] allegations in the Somali community.”

11 ½ inches of beautiful white snow at the Experimental Work Farm (and Penal Colony) awaited the Head Groundskeeper this morning. Despite bad-mouthing progressive governance, must admit Mayor Satya has plowed Madison’s streets promptly this Sunday morning. Now where are my Sunday newspapers?

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Tim Walz is a stupid, foolish man. So Woke he can’t tell a woman from a Pez dispenser. Chosen by a party that wanted/wants to defund the police, dumb down our schools, and politicize the courts — all in the name of equity and diversity. Don’t expect accountability from the party of Big Gummint compassion when it doesn’t expect it from its universe of victims.

We hope — but do not expect — Madison and Dane County officials to take notice as they keep throwing money at dysfunction. Why won’t the Republican legislature audit the $325 million — much of it state money — Dane County spends on social services?

Are they afraid of the race card?

One (maybe the biggest) reason this scandal happened is that we have allowed the left to sanctify immigrants, especially the sub-group known as illegal aliens–as in they can do no wrong; and if you dare suggest they make an effort to assimilate to American values (like learning English), you’re a racist. One measure of how viral this toxic ideology has become is the decision by the mayor of Minehaha to give his victory speech in Somali. No one panders to aggrieved minorities with more gusto than the sanctimonious twits on the left.

It takes the NYT 12 paragraphs to get around to saying the first charges in this massive fraud were issued in 2022, more than 3 years ago. Till now, it was up to samizdat media to follow the story. Why is the Times, the DNC house organ, now publicizing it? Maybe it’s a signal from on high that Walz has to go, before his mismanagement returns the state to Republican governance. If there’s some other plausible theory, I’d be interested to hear it.

Thought at the time that ticket needed some gravitas to counteract Kamala’s nervous laughter and unseriousness… But there was Walz, bounding around on stage like a hyperactive toddler, pointing at an undetermined individual in the crowd he pretended to recognize… Him and his wife both struck me as kind of strange people. I know a lot of supporters were entranced with the supposed every-man relatable qualities of ‘Coach Walz,’ but I sure didn’t see it in his campaign appearances or debate.

It seems to me that the Democratic party of Minnesota has teamed up with food processing industry to gain votes and lower processing cost. Look no future than the small Town of Barron Wisconsin to see the impact. These people are commuting to work in Barron during the week and returning to the cities on the weekends. The Wisconsin taxpayers are the losers to Minnesota in more ways than one.

When the many Hmong immigrants got to the Twin Cities they assimilated rapidly. They learned English, left public housing and thrived.
Then came the Somalis… from a culture that says all unbelievers are sheep to be shorn. They esteem successful thieves, pirates and raiders.
They sure love Minneapolis for which Tim Walz is the poster child.
Minneapolis’ motto? Come and get it. We can always raise taxes.

Madison must have stolen that motto from Minneapolis (along with all that Ho-Chunk land).

At the time of the pandemic, I was working for an American Fortune 500 company in Wisconsin. We made valves for the refrigeration industry. We were deemed essential and were allowed to stay open. There was plenty of work for us. But our management told us that they were going to shut don one day to a 32 hour work week. They told us that way in addition to our regular 32 hour paycheck, but we could also claim$600 a week in Covid relief because we were only working 32 hours. Of course none of the workers complained. But I have always thought that this was a misuse of the Covid relief funds. They aren’t any better than the Somalis

I was visiting MNPLS this summer and took a walk Saturday morning around “Little Mogadishu”– the main Somali neighborhood. In addition to someone trying to scam me out of my phone, my other observation was these people have no interest in being “Americans”. Didn’t hear a word of English, women dressed in hajibs, it was basically Somali with different scenery. The only redeeming quality was the street vendor food smelled amazing (I’m a sucker for gyros)! “Deport them all” seems overly inclusive and yet, we have a problem.

    1. richard V Lesiak Avatar

Somalians eat gyros? They wear hajibs in their own neighborhood. I bet you were there for the PIG ROAST Festival. This sounds like a Dementia Don oval office fantasy. Did you win 38 golf championships too?

Good God Lie-sak, give it a break. “Gyro” is used above as a generic term. “Shawarma” is the Arabic version. You need to get out more, my man.

What accountability did you ask from Republican Scott Walker regarding the Foxconn project? You know, about how Wisconsin spent over $683 million on the project by 2021, and the total public investment in infrastructure and land acquisition was in excess of $1 billion. Your comment about transgender women is beneath you, Dave. We know that MAGA has obliterated reason and common sense, but no one needs to follow them down into their sewer.

    1. David Blaska Avatar

My math says Wisconsin is in the plus column thanks to FoxConn.

Really? You know that MAGA has obliterated reason and common sense? It apparently has obliterated yours.
How many genders are there? Must you be a biologist to know what a woman is? Are you in favor of “gender affirming care” when it requires elective surgery to remove young peoples’ body parts? To deny these sufferers a sex life, children, orgasms?
Then you, Gregory Humphrey are a fool.

    3. David Blaska Avatar

Tim Walz told Congress he could not define what constitutes a woman.

Surprise! Liberals (Gregory, Lie-sak, etc.) like “fuzzy math”. Being too precise tends to destroy the narrative (e.g.: police body cameras, auditing social service agencies, etc).
