The indentured servants quit watching Stephen Colbert’s smug and indulgent partisanship after his very first show 10 years ago. What a comedown from David Letterman, who was irreverent, unpredictable, and funny! America needs Stupid Pet Tricks! Blame Trump or blame a graying audience. We just can’t stay up that late any more.
Blame Trump or blame National Public Radio that taxpayers will no longer subsidize its Woke left agit-prop. Like its assertion that crime statistics are racist!. “Someone shoplifting tampons or diapers from a pharmacy counts as a crime. But a corporation stealing millions of their workers’ wages doesn’t.” (“Corporation stealing their workers’ wages”? Not to mention our bag lunches! 😛)
CNN Friday put on camera the host of that NPR “newscast,” whereupon Steve Inskeep preened he can’t comment on the congressional defunding because he is a newsman (if you say), then proceeded to plead the network’s case. (Give Scott Jennings his own show!)
Our point today, class, is that partisan mass media is making progressives and conservatives dumb and dumber. It’s responsible for Kamala and Zohran on the Left. It drove otherwise intelligent conservatives into the bunkers with the likes of Glenn Beck and Tucker Carlson — both too goofy for Fox News.
Which is why MAGA bites hard on every conspiracy: Explains a complex world to low-info people. “Voting machine algorithms” defeated Trump in 2020. Guy named Ray Epps orchestrated the January 6 insurrection. Hillary Clinton snuffed Jeffrey Epstein because he blackmailed his customers, all Democrats. Tucker Carlson at a recent Turning Point event:
“It’s extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy [Epstein] had direct connections to a foreign government, and no one’s allowed to say that that foreign government is Israel, because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that that’s naughty. There is nothing wrong with saying that.” — (Source here)
What is extremely obvious is that there is no evidence for it. But conspiracies cannot survive actual evidence.
Who else abuses his own supporters?
We say again, Trump is absolutely killing it domestically and internationally. Stock market is up, borders secured; he more deserves a Nobel Peace Prize than Barack Obama. But …

That’s called “hubris” — if he killed that person in Times Square, MAGA would blame Rachel Maddow. Local influencer Vicki McKenna knows Trump’s rather bawdy birthday greeting to Epstein is fake. How does she know it? Only because Donald Trump says so. Which might be credible if not for the buddy buddy photos, that dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman, the Hollywood Access tape. (Richard Nixon never had that problem.)
Blaska’s Bottom Line: The Epstein birthday letter does read like typical male locker room talk. But the part about “secrets” is a conspiracy energy drink. Trump can release all “relevant’ grand jury testimony — but what is “relevant”? Be smart shoppers, people! Skeptics wrote the Constitution; true believers wrote the Holocaust.

Yup. Agree fully. I am ready for a third, REAL conservative party. Anyone who likes Colbert or Carlson are not allowed to know the secret handshake. Let them fret about that for a while….

Mass media problems? YEP!!! Like Bannon now claiming he has 15 hours of video that he took with EPSEIN? He won’t release any of it till his 5-episode media deal is approved. This means a lawsuit from Obama because we all know that Obama wrote the Epstein files. J. E’s. ex said that he and Dementia Don were best butt buddies for a long time and can prove it. All this on top of Jesse WAH Wah lying on faux news. What’s next??? We find out that all of Trump’s golf scores are a lie? This is starting to look like a news release from North Korea.
