… but not on racist MSNBC!
If you take your news from social media, you have been told Whoopi Goldberg and ABC-TV’s The View have been cancelled more often than a McLean Stevenson sitcom.
If you take your news from social media, you also expect various Hollywood stars to seek refugee status in Trudeau’s Canada. Kash Patel will publish the flight log to Jeffrey Epstein’s island — they’ll all be Democrats. Pam Bondi will tell the truth about January 6. (FBI agents in camo beat up Capitol Police and forgot to tell Ashli Babbitt the doors were open!)

MSNBC’s Joy Reid was canceled and for real. If you take your news from MSNBC — or most of the news media, for that matter — you are told that the nation is institutionally racist.
So the indentured servants had to warm up the b&w Philco to catch Joy’s last show Monday 02-24-25. Must say, she went out on a high note. We were hoping for a little Howard Beal in the ode from Joy. “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this any more.” An on-screen meltdown. Maybe some hostage taking. Some spittle flecking the camera lens. But, being MSNBC …
They blamed racism
Its regnant queen, Rachel Maddow, had enough clout to criticize Joy’s sacking.
“It is unnerving that on a network where we have two non-white hosts in prime time both of our non-white hosts in prime time are losing their shows. … That feels indefensible.”
(Alex Wagner being the other.) Wouldn’t that be special! Despite the labors of Rachel, Joy & Co., MSNBC is no more Woke than a CPAC convention. Our take is that MSNBC made a market adjustment. Favor to its chief client, the Democrat(ic) party, which is trying to reboot from Defund The Police. Digging out from subsidizing sex changes for illegal immigrants. Recovering from allowing boys in the girl’s locker room.
Ms. Reid got off a final volley, saying the out-loud part that Chuck and Nancy think but cannot say: “Fascism isn’t just coming, it’s already here.” As Joy fades away, white girl Jen Psaki gets more camera time. As the former mouthpiece for the Biden administration, Jen is more Washington Post mainstream than Joy, who channeled the Squad and the Zapatista Army of Liberation. Elie Mystal was a frequent guest on Joy’s ReidOut (great name!). Writing for The Nation (where else?), Mister Mystal doubled down on the race card:
Cable news has never been truly comfortable with authentic Black voices … [due to] the white-supremacist forces that now run this country.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: The last Republican we remember seeing on MSNBC was U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, who took Ms. Reid to the woodshed, rhetorically speaking. We regret the loss of any voice, even that of Ms. Reid. We lament that political discourse is stored in separate silos. America picks what it wants to believe.
At the same time, we note that the University of Wisconsin here in Madison is slow walking the hiring of that single conservative professor for which the legislature (led by Robin Vos) budgeted 15 months ago. As for MSNBC, they still have Al Sharpton.

I feel my blood pressure go up when I listen to CNN or MSNBC ; must limit my exposure to them. I like The Five , get info with a little humor & sarcasm. They give the liberal of the day little bit of needling; Harold Ford Jr. especially is a good sport.
Joy Reid is gone ( race had nothing to do with it, she was just bad)now it’s on to The View to say goodbye.
“MSNBC is no more Woke than a CPAC convention.”
Let’s toss it over to Pew Research and see what they have to say:
Bedrock Conservative HuffBLOW: MSNBC Almost Entirely Dominated By Opinion: Pew Study
News Content: FoxNews 45 % MSNBC 15 %
Opinion Content: FoxNews 55 % MSNBC 85 %.
Et tu, HuffBLOW?
So, that means MSNBC has a whopping 55 % more Opinion content and a mere 1/3 the News content of FoxNews?
Why yes…yes…that DOES mean MSNBC has a whopping 55 % more Opinion content and a mere 1/3 the News content of FoxNews!

I missed Joy’s last show. Hopefully, it’s still available. Maybe the Squire has it DVR’d.
“I missed Joy’s last show.”
So did The Gotch; let’s both rejoice that plausible deniability’s been mercifully retained, with our unwasted grey matter banked and possibly parlayed into extra beers.

You regret the loss of a hateful, bigoted, prejudicial, homophobic, RAYcist?
Please explain.
