Not 12 hours after promising a new “Golden Age,” the reinstated President unconditionally pardoned fifteen hundred cop beaters, vandals, and seditious conspiracists attempting to subvert the Constitution on January 6, 2021.

But that’s the level of rabbit holing practiced in the psych wards of my Republican party.

The sin of equivalency
A courageous few are speaking out: U.S. Senators Cassidy, Murkowski, Collins, McConnell, Tillis. Even David Urban, the bullet-headed, Trump-confidante talking head on CNN. Dismissing them as RINOs is not an argument.
Let’s turn that around. How many Republicans are ballyhooing the pardons? No fist pumps from Josh Hawley and company. No editorial page that we can find. Nor the likes of Sean Trumpitty and Laura Ingraham. (I sat in the front row at the Inauguration with Tucker Carlson!) Move along, nothing to see here.
We acknowledge that the justice given the George Floyd terrorists was too little and too light. Who got arrested in the Kenosha conflagration? Kyle Rittenhouse, for defending property and life, including his own! Invoking the Law of Two Wrongs is not how one takes the high ground.
Trump pardoned his fifteen hundred January 6 dupes one day after Hamas released three innocent women in exchange for 90 Palestinian criminals. Now THERE is an equivalency!
