‘Is he trying to lose the election?’

That’s what the Wall Street Journal is asking of Donald Trump. A publication that WANTS him to win! So the Republican nominee shows up at the 9/11 Memorial in NYC Wednesday 09-11/24 almost arm-in-arm with a crackpot named Laura Loomer, a 9/11 Truther who claims the attack was “an inside job.” (Where’s Melania?)

The WSJ quotes North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis to say that “Laura Loomer is a crazy conspiracy theorist who regularly utters disgusting garbage intended to divide Republicans.” MAGA maniacs can label the Republican senator as a RINO, but he won election in a battleground state, which is more than Trump did last time around. 

When Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks you’ve gone too far, maybe you are too far gone.

And he’s not what he appeared to be. 🎵 Love the Babylon Bee headline that claims Democrats are subbing out Kamala and Walz for the two ABC debate hosts. We said before, if you’re blaming the referees you are a loser. Ronald Reagan would have turned the tables, asked the hosts if they might care to follow up on Kamala’s non-answers. Fact check her claim of no soldiers lost. Made a joke at his opponent’s expense, instead of freezing his face into an angry scowl.

The helluvit is: Kamala is such a target-rich environment. Wants to take away our gas kitchen ranges, mandate electric cars, guilt-trip whitey, bail out grievance study majors from paying off their loans, nationalize no-fault abortion, drive up the cost of gasoline. But Trump “…”couldn’t prosecute his case because his sentences collapse.”

… His mind has always pinballed but Tuesday night [09-10-24] the pinball machine seemed broken, like the flipper button wasn’t working and the launcher was clogged. He has been spoiled by his safe space, his rallies, where his weird free associations amuse the crowd and his non sequiturs are applauded as authenticity. — Peggy Noonan  

Nikki Haley, Lindsay Graham, Erick Erickson et al keep advising the man to be presidential, as if nine years into his own forever war, that were possible. They’re tying to talk sense to a paranoid narcissist who blames Nancy Pelosi for not stopping FBI agents provocateur who were taking hand signals from a guy named Ray on January 6.

He used the pronoun “we” to describe some of the rioters. Republicans don’t want to talk about Jan. 6 [but] Trump can’t help himself.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Roll that over in your mouth: the man cannot help himself! At some point, it will occur to the party and donors that they will have to cut their losses and try to keep the House and win the Senate. Brother Mike’s theory holds water: Nancy Pelosi & Co. put Biden on the debate stage historically early to expose his incompetence with enough time to call in the reserves. Republicans weren’t as clever.

The question is not whether the man can get elected
