‘One of the most horrifying things I have seen’
Has it occurred to anyone what an insult it is to the memory of Milton McPike that the City of Madison is installing in the park named in his honor a mural — 21 feet wide — of a criminal?

Aside from having been convicted of felony armed robbery, high-as-a-kite substance abuser Tony Robinson attacked a police officer responding to a call— placed by his fellow dopers that evening in 2015 — that the 19 year old man was assaulting citizens at random. In a narrow and dimly lit stairwell, Robinson fought the officer, who shot in self-defense rather than yield his service weapon to his assailant.
These are statements of fact, as established by several independent reviews. But Tony Robinson was black and the police officer is white and that is all you need to know about Woke Madison WI.

“Our goal is to promote our efforts in receiving justice in the death of Tony,” said Kristin Matthew, a board member for the Social Justice Center. “The artwork would bring the community together around these efforts.” (Read & Weep!)
Tony Robinson might still be alive today — possibly as a productive citizen — had he been privileged to experience the late Milton McPike at Madison East high school. Principal McPike was known to drag miscreants by the ear out onto the sidewalk and to a waiting police squad car. Principal McPike was black, a former pro football player, and nobody’s fool. That was before discipline was outlawed in our public schools.
The Social Justice Center might also seek justice for a real victim, a University of Wisconsin student raped and left near death in downtown Madison over Labor Day weekend as school was about to convene for another academic year. Damn good police work caught the suspect. An hour before the attack, police in nearby Fitchburg stopped Brandon A. Thompson, age 26, for a vehicle registration violation. That would be what social justice warriors call “driving while black.”
A responding officer described the [crime] scene as “one of the most horrifying things I’ve seen.” Officers reported she was covered in blood and her face was purple, bruised and swollen. The victim was not able to communicate with the officers.
The victim was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her injuries include missing teeth, both eyes swollen shut and her body covered in blood. She had a broken jaw and needed eight stitches to her lip. She also had injuries consistent with penetrating vaginal trauma. As of Thursday, the victim is on a feeding tube and unable to provide a statement as she shows extreme signs of confusion when awake. Right after the attack, she was put in a medically induced coma. Police body cameras?
Fitchburg Police wear something called “body cameras,” which cause Madison social justice warriors to pucker their exhaust pipes, lest they prove local police are not the Gestapo. A time-limited experiment will permit Madison police in the North district to experiment with them if they promise not to “profile” the wrong people.
The Fitchburg body camera video matched the perp and his automobile to the brazen “witness” who claimed to have come across the victim but fled in that automobile before he could be questioned.
Downtown Madison blogger Greg Humphrey notices that “The law [firm] now representing Thompson put out a press release along with a photo of him in graduation attire upon completing his studies at UW-Milwaukee.” Remember how Tony Robinson’s apologists published his high school mortar and gown photograph?
Mayor Satya Rhodes Conway thanked Police Chief Shon Barnes (known to be black, himself), his assistant chief, “and all the detectives and officers who put aside their weekend plans to rush in and solve this case.” Well good for Mayor Satya! Seriously! We well remember when the mayor apologized for praising the police in the aftermath of the George Floyd and Jacob Blake (another criminal) looting and vandalism riots of 2020.
Didn’t we just write “So much for over-policing”?
“This case will not be complete until this cowardly attacker receives the justice he deserves.”
— Madison PD Chief Shon Barnes
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Milton McPike could not have said it better.

Lefty got that idea from L’Affaire de Miscreant Thug…um…The Gotch means…<a href="https://www.facinghistory.org/resource-library/hands-dont-shoot-built-lieGentle Giant/Pants Up-Don’t Loot”> Michael Brown, formerly of Ferguson, MO.
A person has to be damned clueless for that approach to resonate and invoke pity; for better or for worse, Lefty Inc. is inundated with morons who meet that qualification.
The Gotch
the black DA exonerated the cop.

2 of the artists are Kaleem Caire’s daughters? Having 2nd thoughts about his school.
A truly disgusting decision, not unlike many being made in Madison. Milton McPike was a strong, compassionate real leader; and to even think of putting those two on the same piece of real estate is sacreligious.
Rather than making a concrete, living and long-lasting contribution, the Robinson family continues to celebrate criminality. If they truly cared about him or their community, they could have used their over a million dollar settlement to enrich their community and a mural hardly even begins to do that.
Well said.
Be curious how many times the prep of this horrible and violent rape had been arrested before and was currently out on bail. It can’t be his first time committing a crime.
Doubt his law firm will release that tidbit or the breathless media reports either. Also. the names of the judges who let him go.
I find nothing on the state criminal website.
Multiple news reports have stated there were no other run-ins with the law or interactions with law enforcement. What I am more curious about is if there were any known mental breakdowns or aberrant behavior in past years. This was a most despicable crime.
What do you think?
Speaking of celebrating criminals, the George Floyd Freakout (H/T Jack Marshall @ethicsalarms.com) is that on monumental steroids.
Locally, some White Guilt suffocated Shorewood Hills Lefty slobbered profusely on neighborsnextdoor (THEY report/YOU decide!) about her George Floyd Memorial Li’l Library.
When a…um…concerned neighbor (who shall remain anonymous…) asked why she, et al, saw fit to deify a violent, drug-abusing, career criminal, what did she, et al, do?
They proceeded to hyperventilate to beat $#!t, then launched into speaking in Lefty Tongues (cluelessly rank gibberish), before employing the typical Lefty response to being confronted with a fact-based Reality:
She took down the post.

“Our goal is to promote our efforts in receiving justice in the death of Tony,”
By my estimation, Tony already received the justice he deserved.
To paraphrase the immortal words of Colonel Walter E. Kurtz: “If every school had a Milton McPike, a Wally Schoessow (The Gotch’s former FB coach & a pal) and their female equivalents, our troubles here would be over very quickly.”
‘Course, they’d suffer the wrath of local Lefties because they wouldn’t advocate for feel-good/diversity-centric/self-esteem curricula or equal outcomes over equal opportunity.
Glass half full?
McPike, Schoessow, et al, wouldn’t have given a toss; they were pleasing results guys rather than the pleasing methods type.

I see another local blogger has come out against the mural. One of the commenters talks about Robinson not deserving to get killed. This is a familiar refrain. Newsflash “deserve” has little to do with many human outcomes; get used to it.
I also realized the “swarming” behavior I mentioned in another thread may be the direct result of the Robinson case. Is it police policy to never have a single officer respond to any incident? The incentives sure line up. In today’s world Kenny waits for back up, even if he believes Robinson is assaulting another person.
Would a single officer have taken on that rapist downtown? Highly doubtful and honestly many MPD officers do not possess the physical skills to do anything other than shoot someone.
