Invites D.A. Alvin Bragg to ‘Play Ball!’

Much is being made of a legally challenged former President for threatening an officer of the law with a baseball bat like some mob boss. His RITO fabulists will demand we not trust our lying eyes. Wielding the baseball bat next to a photograph of the Manhattan district attorney — with his hands raised in seeming surrender — is the Big Guy’s way of saying “Play Ball! or get counted OUT!” That part about “death and destruction” that would result from his indictment? The Boss wants only peaceful and patriotic death and destruction! None of this would be necessary if Mike Pence had the courage to do the right thing!

All nuances the lead story in Friday’s 03-24-23 New York Post (owned by Rupert Murdoch) fails to capture:

Donald Trump on Friday threatened “death and destruction” if he’s criminally charged in New York — writing the shocking social media warning after posting an image of himself holding a baseball bat next to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s head.

“They are HUMAN SCUM!” the 76-year-old former president raged in one post asking why Bragg “refuses to do the right thing and ‘call it a day?’”

Trump is seeking a rematch against President Biden in 2024 and previously used heated language ahead of actual violence — most notoriously on Jan. 6, 2021, when he told thousands of supporters to march on the Capitol and “fight like hell” to prevent certification of Biden’s Electoral College win, which they proceeded to do by smashing into the building and battling with police.

New York Post

We promised no ALL CAPS. But we do have several MAGA caps — one of them signed by Stormy Daniels herself!

Who is Tr•mp-deranged?

Might be why Platinum+ subscriber Mark Lemberger cavils, “Your TDS does not entitle you to turn the US into a third-world country.” You mean like banana republics that overturn elections through violent coups? Mark was upset by our take on the most insecure man in America’s ALL-CAP call for protests if D.A. Bragg brings charges.

Still, we admire the expert shade that this Georgia-based conservative commentator throws on the Joe Bflstk of the Republican party:

You would not be tuning in to find out if a former President was going to be indicted had that former President kept his dick in his pants and not cheated on his pregnant wife with a porn star. The national calamity we are in is because a man with no impulse control lacked impulse control, banged the porn star, and when the Christian Right gravitated to him, he had to shut her up with hush money because he was afraid they’d turn on him right before the 2016 election.

Erick Woods Erickson

Truth to tell, the Soros-funded Manhattan district attorney ignores real crime on the streets of New York — up 22% — and would rather win Bragg-ing rights as the first to bag President #45. It’s a foot race with Fanni Willis down in Georgia, the special prosecutor for the Mar-a-Lago tranche of secret documents, and DOJ special counsel Jack Smith’s pursuit of J/6. Bragg’s Democratic predecessor Cy Vance II and the NY federal prosecutor both passed on the Stormy Daniels charges. Case requires testimony from convicted perjurer Michael Cohen. Remember the execrable dying-wife cheater John Edwards? He got OFF on the same, difficult-to-prove charge of violating campaign finance rules.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: agrees with the inimitable Peggy Noonan: “It’s the wrong indictment against Trump. Stormy Daniels wasn’t an offense against America. Focus on Georgia and the Jan. 6 riots instead.”

Just an intimation but do you agree:

Bragg does NOT indict Trump!

The so-called “Christian Right” will never turn on Rump. They have shown themselves to be a bunch of men’s room toe tappers, hooker chasing grifters. So turning on fat-boy for hitting Daniels means nothing to them.

What are the charges Bragg is going to bring, exactly– that he paid some woman off? As Alan Dershowitz says: “there’s a difference between crime and sin” and, frankly, I’m not seeing a crime here. Smells alot like the “Insurrection” indictment (which will never come, BTW).
Now, Squire, before you go all TDS on me, I’m not excusing Trump’s past/current behavior. I’ve said many times, his time has come and gone, but really this DA needs to focus on the problems at hand. But again, that’s what progressives do: chase windmills while ignoring the immediate and practical problems of the day.
