Does Twitter’s full disclosure justify a do-over?
Platinum subscriber Kooter asks: Do the recent Twitter revelations alter your opinion about the veracity of the 2020 election?
The short answer is NO. What counts in an election is HOW they voted, not WHY they voted the way they did. An election cannot be overturned because voters are stupid or were “misled.” They usually are!
That many voters were, indeed, misled about the dirt on Hunter Biden’s laptop is undeniable. A cynic would say that’s what elections are all about, misleading the voters. (There was no “missile gap” in 1960, contrary to JFK’s assertion.) Then again, who trusted our news media in the first place?

Hunter Biden’s laptop could yet prove that Papa Joe can recite Mao’s Little Red book from memory in fluent Mandarin Chinese. Doubtful that would sway many of his voters over to the hated Trump — just as #45’s voters would excuse their hero from shooting that man in the middle of Times Square. (He’d have to wait his turn.)
Would Trump have won in 2016 without James Comey’s foolishness over the Hildabeast’s secret server? If active FBI agents tamped down the story on Hunter’s laptop it was Trump’s FBI. For certain, retired Obama/Biden spooks led by James Clapper and John Brennan called it Russian disinformation. Those two, along with Hillary Clinton, belong in jail.
On whose authority would a do-over election be conducted? It is nowhere provided in the Constitution (which Trump wants to override, anyway). If one were held, how many of those voters would be turned off by Trump’s January 6 insurrection? Reversing the 2020 election is just as impossible (Janel Brandtjen, Timothy Ramthun, Adam Steen, and the My Pillow Guy notwithstanding). What is the precise number of voters who would have switched if Hunter’s laptop was cablecast in primetime? We don’t know either.
→ Do something unique to put Trump back in the White House.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Who decides? What judge, which jury if not the greatest jury of all — voters themselves? Which is why we have presidential elections every four years.
New Jersey-based Technometrica Institute of Policy and Politics Poll: 79 % Of Voters Say Truthful Hunter Biden Laptop Coverage Would Have Affected The Election
79 %? Cut that in half, then cut that in half, then cut THAT in half; it (along with 17 % Of Early Voters who suffered Buyers Remorse) juuuuuuust might have made a difference.
And that TIPP Poll was conducted in August…over three months before we come to find Twitter (who was by no means alone!) had the full force of a ham-fist on the scale.
Anywho, possibly of interest: NBC wunderkind Miguel Almaguer is STILL conspicuously AWOL THREE FREAKIN’ WEEKS after his spiked Paul Pelosi piece, with no one, and The Gotch means NO NBC ONE offering any explanation whatsoever.
You’re an old newspaper guy, Blaska; any of this piquing the Five Ws/One H–If Your Mother Says She Loves You, Check It Out soy ink that courses through your veins?

Let’s say it would have made a difference. What is your remedy?

“What is your remedy?”
Nonesuch exists; the Rubicon’s done been crossed, the toothpaste can’t be returned to the tube, and Mr. Peabody’s Wayback Machine was never real…the latter much to The Gotch’s chagrin!
There may be legal redress (criminal or civil), but beyond that…move on…it’s over…the whistle’s been blown…forgive but don’t forget.
Quid pro quo: You interested in hearing what Miguel Almaguer has to say, or to view the as-yet-unreleased body-cam video, or is there no THERE there?

The problem is that all the people who tried to spike the laptop story, knew it was true. And I have hard time believing that that there were that many Biden voters who would have done a 180 and voted for Trump, if they had known. They probably knew it was true as well. They were not voting for Biden, they were voting against Trump, and would have done so regardless.

Wow my name in lights! I guess my point about Twitter wasn’t the how vs why people voted so much but more about the data accumulating that their was some hanky panky going on with the election and has that changed your mind at all? I suppose a more direct way to ask would be: do you believe there was any nefarious activities surrounding the 2020 election? I know you think Trump lost on his own accord, but my question is more about the Integrity of the election. It doesn’t have to be either or: one can think Trump lost but also have questions about election integrity (my own view).

Yes, you can but Trump, apparently, cannot. Again, I ask: If the Deep State Left is jiggering our elections, how did they let Ron Johnson win?

Johnson makes Republicans look stupid. He’s far more valuable to the left as a sitting Senator.
Think about it, why else would they have picked an awful candidate like Barnes to run against him? Lasry had the momentum and suddenly drops out? He took one for the team.
The Democrats are playing 3 dimensional chess.

You honestly think Lefty’d prefer Johnson be reelected rather than have the 1st bLack WESconsin Senator to crow about, AND another reliable Lefty vote in the Upper Chamber?

There is nothing we can do about the election’s outcome at this point, but at the very least those dozens of intelligence officials that publicly called the laptop “Russian Disinformation” should never be heard from again (unless they are asking if you would like fries with your order).

Outstanding remark and absolutely true to the core. I completely agree!
We do need to learn from the unethical, immoral and blatantly dishonest political tactics that the Democratic Party and their totalitarian supporters used to rig the 2020 election and do everything we can to rhetorically fight these kinds of tactics no matter where they come from. We need to restore critical thinking to the voting base of both major political parties to effectively combat the unethical, immoral and blatantly dishonest political tactics that are being used ad nauseam in the 21st century.

So now the repuks sent a letter to Evers demanding that Tik-Tok be banned from all state phones. How are we supposed to keep track of our great elected officials like Greene, Gaetz, etc. Their critical thinking and deep understanding of the issues are vital to our political system. We are being canceled. The woke right are blocking us from access to information. It’s in the Constitution. FRREEEDDOOOMMMMM. No more treading on me.

What the Republicans should do is attack every media person by name for covering up the laptop story and pushing fake news about its origin and contents. What the Republicans should do is trot out the husband of the Illinois pol who told Veritas what it cost to make phony voters from Illinois show up in Milwaukee by the busload. Take out ads, show them repeatedly. Translate $400,000,000 Zuckerbucks in the razor thin flipped counties that put Old Joe over the top.
What the Republicans WILL do? Weep, moan, wish for Ronald Reagan, clutch their pearls, lose and continue to demonize the one man who fights.
I wish the fate of Michael Avenatti on all of them.

I do not believe it was a “Deep Left State” conspiracy thing, but rather a variety of left leaning entities acting on their own to try and jigger the election: nursing home raids, dead voters still on the books, drop boxes here and there, clerks “helping” to correct ballots, Twitter (and social media) manipulation, a mule or two, etc. David, why are you avoiding answering my question? It leads me to believe that despite the clear evidence, you have no issues with the integrity of the 2020 election. Wish I had your “what, me worry?” mentality. In my opinion, voting in a fair, even handed and equitable election is one of our sacred duties as a US citizen. Too much blood and treasure have been spent to ignore it.

What is on the laptop? Everyone fumes but no one says. I’m curious.
Second, has anything on it been connected to his father’s polices?
