Channel 3000 is reporting that “Multiple landmarks on the UW-Madison campus — including Memorial Union — were seemingly vandalized overnight with messages protesting a conservative commentator who was set to speak on campus Monday night.”
The messages appear to be critical of conservative commentator Matt Walsh, who is scheduled to appear on campus Monday night for a screening of his film “What is A Woman?” The film has been criticized for being transphobic. Walsh is being hosted by Young America’s Foundation, a group that calls itself “the principal outreach organization of the Conservative Movement.” Former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker was elected president of the group last year.

No free speech at UW-Madison
This is the same campus that scrubbed the name of Civil Rights advocate and Academy Award-winning actor Fredric March from its theater. The same campus that moved a 42-ton boulder deposited by a glacier 10,000 years ago because it was once referenced with a racial epithet 100 years ago.
This is a debate that needs to happen. This school year, the Madison public schools asked your children whether they were gay. Why do they need to know? Do your kids even know?
A parent sent this screen shot from MMSD’s annual, technically voluntary “belonging” survey, which they don’t allow parents to see.
“Has the usual questions about bullying, feelings of being supported, etc., plus a bunch on sexuality and gender. This screenshot conflates sex with gender, suggesting the former is something other than a biological reality and can be assigned,” the parent said.
“What’s going on here is a conflation of an LGBTQ-influenced identity politics and social contagion. People who identify as trans, nonbinary, ace (for as-exual or a-romantic) demi, etc., are not outcasts. They are the cool, edgy kids.
We’re basically conducting an experiment on children whose bodies and minds are still developing, all because they “feel” like something other than their biologial sex. Do you know for sure what it “feels” like to be a man? I don’t. And how the hell could anyone prove that they do? And yet on the basis of a “feeling,” kids get hormones and surgery.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: We’re not necessarily endorsing Matt Walsh’s message — but neither will we shout it down. That is what the UW’s Sifting and Winnowing statement is all about. Conservatives aren’t burning books or shouting down speakers. That would be so-called progressives. Will Gov. Tony Evers or Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes denounce this intimidation?

Time to burn the First Amendment! The Congress hasn’t made a law banning Free Speech, establishing a Religion or petitioning the Government for redress of grievances but act like they have. The people that don’t want Matt Walsh to speak about his movie are just like the people decades ago that didn’t want Martin Luther King Jr. to speak. Back in the day the ACLU defended peoples right to speak and protest. Remember American Nazi Party protest/march in Skokie IL? No more. If the woke left doesn’t like it they call it hate speech and try and ban it.
Just a side note, the Constitution of the United States of America and the Declaration of Independence is only 25 pages long. Maybe congress could learn something from those OLD WHITE GUYS.

You could have saved your strength. They will never justify their policies–they don’t have to as no one, certainly not the spineless local media, will ask them to. This is why more and more groups of gays are separating away from the whole LGBTQ+ industrial complex. For too long the T has been piggybacking on the struggles of the LGB’s when the two issues are totally different. Worse, now the same groups that once advocated for gay/bi equality, like the HRC and other pride groups, are redefining gay to mean “same-gender identity attraction” rather than same-sex attraction.” According to these new LBG groups, this is gay erasure because it takes biological sex out of the equation.
One of the most concerning things about this piggybacking is that now we see acceptance for gays dwindling because gays are being conflated with trans and it’s assumed gays are okay with transing kids or exposing them to kink and pervy drag queens, or letting men win in women’s sports. I’m already seeing articles about how gay marriage started all this and that if we get rid of marriage equality, somehow that will magically make the insanity of the radical trans activists go away.
Then you have those T radicals who say that gays who don’t want to be a part of the rainbow mafia are TERFS or “cisgender genital fetishists” or transphobes. Younger lesbians especially are getting the brunt of these assertions and are being pressured to sleep with men who claim to be lesbians, in a show of solidarity or overcoming their “sexual racism” and “unlearning their genital biases.” Any woman who dares to bring up this phenomenon is immediately labeled a TERF and the consequences aren’t always pretty. 🦖
Then you have big tech and big pharma who benefit greatly from all this. According to Martin(e) Rothblatt, founder of SiriusXM, transgenderism is the stepping stone to “upgrading” and becoming “transhuman.” Tinkering around with the human body, under the guise of helping the so-called gender dysphoric, gives big tech a lot money and space to experiment.
Big pharma profits handsomely as well, as clinics aimed at “trans” youth make bank off the repeated corrective surgeries that come from “transitioning.” FtM surgeries have a 70+% complication rate and these people have to have something like 4-20 additional surgeries. Even then, some of these women will never experience sexual pleasure or have normal functioning anatomy again. For men, take a look at Jazz Jennings who didn’t have enough skin in his/her genital area due to hormone blockers and will never have a normal functioning body.
And don’t forget the puberty blockers, like Lupron Depot, not only stop the body from maturing but also the mind. The side effects of these drugs are in and of themselves causing permanent damage to youth including osteoporosis.
Gays are finally forcing this issue in the open and saying “no more” to this riding of coattails by what very much feels like a cult of wild-eyed heterosexual technocrats, toxic allies, hostile unhappy trans, and a few self-hating gays thrown in the mix.
Many bisexuals and gays are done being used by the radical trans lobby but their voices are being censored by big tech. I hope at some point people will start to see the two groups have little in common, before we see gay-bashing become a new hobby for fed-up straights and transgenders alike. (bolds/italics added)

If history is any guide, the Matt Walsh lecture will unfold as follows. A tiny vocal group of the perpetually aggrieved with attend and shout down the speaker before he has a chance to speak. UW police will stand by scratching their asses for a few minutes then declare that the proceedings will be halted “in the interest of public safety.” Attendees will meekly file away. Overpaid UW administrators will stick their snoots a little higher in the air and congratulate one another on maintaining the liberal echo chamber that is UW Madison. No sifting, no winnowing, no dissent. Isn’t it about time someone pried off that plaque on Bascom Hall from a sense of shame if nothing else?

I’m not holding my breath for criminal charges against these anti-free speech eighth wits. There were dozens of acts of vandalism and arson against pro-life centers in the wake of the Dobbs decision and there have yet to be any arrests.

Evidenced by using the excuse of a pandemic and the carrot and stick of private billionaire dollars to gather votes in ways that are clearly illegal. And then attempting to make them permanent after the pandemic has passed.
Storming the Capitol: A localized, mostly unorganized and unarmed event that I said from the beginning would be put down in an afternoon, and was. Small potatoes compared to smashing, burning, and looting nearly every major city in the Union, assaulting law enforcement with projectiles, incendiaries, vehicles, and firearms, ripping down monuments, defacing federal buildings, destroying untold businesses and local economies, beating civilians who attempted to intervene, and racking up billions in damage.
Banning books: Mark Twain, Harper Lee, J.K. Rowling, Dr. Seuss.
Taking away women’s rights: Last I checked, abortion is still legal in a lot of states. And its more legal there than just about anywhere else in the world. The left loves to point to the wisdom of Europe—except when you tell them that European countries put severe restrictions on abortion after 15 weeks. And if it weren’t for an overzealous, overreaching progressive Supreme Court back in the 70s performing legal gymnastics with Roe, this issue would have been settled the proper way by Congress long ago.
Forget the public square, leftists want to control and cancel speech they don’t like in the private one too. Evidenced by Lisa Subeck browbeating the Metcalfes into canceling a motivational speaker at Bratfest because he had anti-abortion views. Nevermind that it wasn’t her event, wasn’t her business, and wasn’t paid for with her money. These cranially-challenged drones don’t want debate, dialogue, discussion, or disagreement. They want thought control and complete dominance of their sensibilities in all aspects of society everywhere, no dissent tolerated, First Amendment be damned. What ever happened to the “shifting and winnowing of ideas”, the 1st Amendment? Why do many of those on the left decide that to protest someone who’s speech they disagree with vandalize the property of the University of Wisconsin?
We need to have the ability to thoughtfully think about, consider, pray over, ask questions about, the opinions of those of who we disagree with. They as well need to have the same.
A conversation of ideas is a two way street.
