Trump, ‘go wallow someplace else’

Has he finally gone too far?

In the last thrilling episode of The Werkes, we addressed the Confederate South’s Lost Cause — the revanchism and revisionism of a romanticized South that never was.

Always Trumpers are still fighting the 2020 election, refusing to acknowledge they were finally defeated on January 6 when their last desperate Pickett’s Charge into the Capitol was rebuffed.

Just last week — 1½ years later — the Sore Loser demanded that WI Assembly Speaker decertify the 2020 presidential election! How crazy is that? Always Trumpers call anyone who gets on the wrong side of their savior and the horned QAnon shaman a RINO! (Ask me how I know.) Preceding his call to Vos, Trump tweeted this:

Hate on Blaska all you wish; he’s not alone. Influential Milwaukee conservative radio host Jay Weber is saying the same thing. An excerpt from this morning’s broadcast on WISN AM 1130 (skip to the 3:50 minute mark):

‘Don’t drag the party down with you’

Trump is starting to lose noticeable support because he’s not talking about inflation, he’s not talking about high crime … he’s mostly wallowing on how he lost in 2020. …

It can already be seen in the polls, The quiet shifting of the sands toward DeSantis has already started. … Trump is now harming his own chances … by turning people off, by not looking forward. .. He’s also harming himself by going after the very people he would need to help himself in the swing states, people like Robin Vos and Ron Johnson here in Wisconsin, Republicans like Brian Kemp … He’s been critical of leaders in Arizona and Pennsylvania … He continues to relentlessly attack these people.

If he hates them or they hate him … it’s just going to guarantee another loss. Trump’s attack on fellow Republicans is just so stupid. … They’re just dumb now.… Sorry if that offends you as a Trump supporter but at some time you have to embrace the truth. The 2020 election cannot and is not going to be overturned. … It is constitutionally and illegally impossible … and if he just refuses to accept the truth, that’s just on him. … That’s the reality. …

The relentless insistence by Trump that Wisconsin results can be overturned … Donald, they can’t be, they won’t be and if you can’t get over it … don’t drag the party down with you, go and wallow somewhere else. …

I have no problem saying that Donald Trump was the most effective president in my lifetime. For once we had someone managing this country’s problems capably… It was a joy to watch him work. … I hope he eventually gets his due with the historians. …

I say these things because the way Donald Trump is going now he won’t be the nominee in 2024. … The voters in the party will move on without him.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Can the 25th Amendment be applied preemptively?

Who will be the last Republican In Trump Only?

And you believe he didn’t! Despair not, by ALL-CAPS Trump-bot, you’re in good company: Timothy Ramthun, Sidney Powell, Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, drunk Rudy, the My Pillow Guy, Lorene Bobbitt, Matt Gaetz, Mike Gableman, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, the horned QAnon shaman, and the tooth fairy.

Trump knows the results won’t be overturned. He could be setting himself up as an independent candidate.

    Populism ain’t going anywhere.

Only sure thing in that scenario is we won’t have a Republican in WH. Could Trump win? Probably not but he had same odds in 2016.

  3. I believe Trump had the election stolen in plain sight, but that it won’t be overturned due to the fact that most people believe nothing on this scale could have ever occurred. BUT I also believe many Trump supporters think he instigated the January 6th riot and, therefore, don’t want to hear about the stolen election any longer.. I think it is too late to come up with all the evidence. It will just have to end up filed in the “cold case file” along with “who killed Nicole Simpson?”. We know who did it; but any evidence now is too late. Let it go Trump.

So Vos has admitted in front of the whole world that the election cannot be over-turned. If that’s the case then why are we (taxpayers) still being ripped off by this Gableman circus. It’s already doubled the budget that the gop set and is running way over time. It’s time for the gop to pull the plug on this BS. Gableman has lined his pockets well enough at our expense.

Except that this BS is costing us a lot of money and that’s not including what county clerks , DA’s, election officials are spending. Isn’t there some improvements in your neighborhood that some of this money could fix. Now talk to me about “fiscal responsibility.”

  5. Trump will not talk about inflation because the conversation is not about him. Look for him to change that. He likely will make the incredibly stupid move to announce his ’24 candidacy BEFORE the ’22 Nov. election so that the subject again becomes Donald Trump. Democrats are praying for this to happen. It would effectively motivate their base just as it did in 2020. They turned out in droves. To elect Joe Biden? Hell no, they voted to dump Trump. This is how we lost two senators in Georgia, and he will do it again. Why? Because all he cares about is Donald Trump not being dubbed a loser, and not letting anybody know that he is not actually a billionaire. (He’s not.)

    • If all Trump cares about is himself why did he keep all his promises that he made to us? He worked for us and didn’t even take a paycheck in four years. He spent all his billions on his campaign so he wouldn’t be beholden to special interests unlike other candidates (JEB). He was already successful and didn’t need to take the President job. He only took it to help save America. Now we need saving again. In a way, he has already told us he’s running again. No need for another announcement.

My vote will be for Ron DeSantis if he runs in 2024. Trump should do us all a favor and keep quite. Yes, I do think the election was stolen, but I don’t think Trump can do anything about it now. Now, it is up to we the people to make sure that does not happen again.

I also think that Trump can do DeSantis a lot of good with putting some money into a DeSantis campaign. Keeping himself in the background, he can also act as an advisor to DeSantis which will help DeSantis with some tough decisions he will have to make.

I still think that Joe will be gone before the mid-term election this year.

We will see how things turn out.

    • DeSantis has already picked up a lot of Trump’s traits. That’s why you like him. I like him too; but if you had something stolen from you let’s say your job by a creep that cheated to get it, wouldn’t you fight for what is legally and rightfully yours instead of letting the creep get away with it? Wouldn’t you deserve another chance to get your job back or would you just walk away into the sunset with your tail between your legs and like you want Trump to do? Personally, I don’t like thieves. And crime isn’t supposed to pay.

As I’ve said BOWTrump, the dirty secret of Repubs is that Trump showed that: ISIS could be crushed, the border made secure, the economy could be growing, taxes could be cut, we could be the largest energy exporter in the world and leverage Russia, Iran, Saudi to OUR will and just, in general, make America great.

Hmm, were you asleep during the early days of Covid? HCQ, bleach, ivermectin, goes away when it gets warm,….. All BS, all lies, and the tragic part was; he knew it. He had a chance to show true leadership and screwed it up royally. He will be in the history books alright, as a great example of ego overriding common sense.

Baloney. Early days of Covid Nancy Pelosi was in Chinatown, unmasked, saying everything is fine while Trump was accused of being racist for restricting entry to the US.

And the lies about what the vaccines and masks will and will not do came primarily from the left and Fauci. No one trusts any health “experts” anymore. Trump’s big mistake was giving Fauci too much air time.

“Science” ….the get out of jail free card. “Science” told us masks weren’t needed after the vaccine. Then nope, we do need masks. Then only waitstaff need masks … and politicians only need them for photo ops. Weird “Science”.
