And why wouldn’t they? From the very beginning of the pandemic they have been told that mask-wearing was virtuous, selfless, and compassionate — in other words, everything every good liberal imagines themselves to be. Last March, no less an authority on COVID safety than Dr. Anthony Fauci went on 60 Minutes to tell the public not to wear masks.
Indeed, 58% of Dane County is fully vaccinated (95% over age 65, the most vulnerable group), second only to under-populated Bayfield County in Wisconsin. (Statewide, 43% are fully vaccinated; 50% at least one shot. An unknown number are naturally immune through exposure.)

The risk of dying of COVID-19 after vaccination is .0001%, or about 1 in a million. The CDC estimates you are more likely to get struck by lightning in a year.
Yer Gonna Die if you:

- Bicycle — 7.1 in a million
- Ski downhill — 0.7 per million
- Compete in a triathlon — 15 per million
- Live too long — 100%

Which brings us to the usually reasonable Deke Rivers, Madison WI Democrat in good standing who has received both of his vaccinations:
In two weeks we will be at the point where it is reported by professionals that masks are no longer required when ‘out and about’. But we both will continue to wear a mask when groups are milling about and there is no way to know if they have their shots. We have not been in an actual store for 14 months, and have no intention of eating at any restaurant for some time to come.
And I know we are not alone. … But when we walk down State Street or when shopping for our own groceries (it is the little things!) we will still wear a mask. It is the smart thing to do.

Do you remember colored lapel ribbons and plastic wrist bands designed to virtue-signal that you were down with the struggle and super aware? (of the 56 different colors, there never was a brown one to signify the #1 killer in the world, … dysentery. Wonder why?)
Awareness ribbons are so yesterday. Today it’s the mask that demonstrates caring, scientific acumen, and virtue. It also represents the political Left. Forget driving around with a Biden/Harris bumper sticker on your car. Just wear a mask while driving alone in your Pious or outside on your Bikie, and everyone will know who you voted for.
Leftyism is more than a mental disorder, it’s also a cultural social disease and a cult.

They think it’s harmless like wearing lapel ribbons or wrist bands, but wearing a mask is much more dangerous and risky.
Masks carry their own medical risks, but Lefty will only surrender their masks when you pry them off their cold dead fat funchies. These ever-changing “expert” Fauci-isms, and CDC mandates, supplemented with daily doses of fear porn from cable news, have created a cowardly and more compliant population. Instead of the old classic free-thinking liberal espousing “Question Authority”, today’s wokescold control-freak fascist is like, “You MUST obey.”

You guys need to stop talking about mask wearing and do something about it. Walk up and pull off their masks, follow Tucker Carlson and call the cops if a kid has one on. Punch them in the face just like an airline attendant. Go full on trumpian on these folks. If they are wearing a mask it’s your civic duty to make it your business to put a stop to it.
