Stop the new jail, monitor judges for racism!

County supervisor accuses legal system of racism

The other shoe just dropped. A county supervisor is proposing an immediate halt to all planning, design, architecture, and construction of a new jail.

Race is the reason. Supv. Elizabeth Doyle says that the United States “incarcerates more people, most of whom are people of color, than any other nation.”

Elizabeth Doyle, county board

The wide-ranging proposal would also monitor judges’ sentencing decisions for signs of racism. The county would compile “racial disparity and incarceration statistics on the Dane County website for all actors in the criminal justice system. Begin by publishing incarceration statistics including racial disparity statistics for all Dane County judges.”

Dane County has been debating jail construction at least since a 2014 jail study recommended replacing the unsafe and inhumane jail on the top two floors of the City County Building in downtown Madison WI. The cost is now estimated at $148 million.

Doyle proposes converting office space in the Public Safety Building into jail beds and using “remote hospital sites and community based recovery sites” to house inmates with mental health issues.

Doyle condemns Dane County for “allow[ing] the militarization of law enforcement.” Doyle was endorsed by the Democrat(ic) party. She represents much of downtown Madison, including the Capitol Square.

Doyle also proposes:

  • Adding “representatives of communities of color” to the Criminal Justice Council
  • Eliminating the work-release program
  • Restorative justice
  • “Dramatically reducing” probation and parole holds
  • Creating inventory of local law enforcement use of force policies.

Doyle’s campaign treasurer is Judy Karofsky, former mayor of Middleton and mother of Jill Karofsky, who was elected this spring to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

What you wanna bet this doesn’t pass?

I did a little research. The US may have more people incarcerated but we don’t use capital punishment as liberally as other countries, for example Iran, China, Saudi Arabia.
North Korea& others. The US tries to rehab offenders as much as possible, but family structure needs to be repaired in many communities before incarceration rates drop.

“Family structure needs to be repaired …” That sounds awfully close to saying that members of the black community have some housecleaning of their own to do, that perhaps a large part of the problem could be solved by greater exercise of personal reponsibility. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYCIST! Somehow blacks–especially black women, who are on their way to group beatification–are inherently pround, strong, brave, loving etc. but at the same time helpless victims of systemic racism. Like so many other self-serving narratives in the BLM movement, this is transparent, sentimental claptrap, but we seem to be living at a time when the zeitgeist is especially receptive to such notions.

I don’t agree with her wanting to stop the new jail. I do agree with monitoring judges. Proven over and over that blacks get around 20% longer jail time. Washington Post, Huffington Post, U.S. Sentencing Commission, American Bar Assoc. all come to the same conclusion. Footnote; all women regardless of race get shorter sentencing than men.

You do know that this insanity is no longer just a “crazy Madison / Dane County” thing, right? That the rot and disease have spread throughout the country? If the Democrats win this November, they WILL push their radical agenda through and the country we all know and love will no longer resemble anything like the United States. And that it will likely be a while before Republicans gain control again. Not sure people are understanding the seriousness of the situation and what’s at stake in November.

The Dane County Board is a diverse, multi-cultist group of fascists, freaks and fairies who resemble the characters in the Star Wars movie bar scene.

In his excellent piece, “The Fragility of Being Woke”, Victor Davis Hanson further describes their inanity, “The woke but godless, the arrogant but ignorant, the violent but physically unimpressive, the degreed but poorly educated, the broke but acquisitive, the ambitious but stalled — these are history’s ingredients of riot and revolution.”

If you ask anyone of them, “What are you fighting, (rioting, burning, looting, vandalizing, murdering), against?”, … they really don’t know. It’s like, “Whatever you’ve got, … we’re against it.”

One proglobotic anti-patriarchal PC pusscookie tried to explain to me, “We’re fighting ‘The Man’.” That’s odd, considering they’ve been ‘The Man” for the last umpteen years.

That analysis is spot on, especially the second paragraph. I’ve come to see the woke / progressive / marxist as deeply damaged. I’m thinking along the lines of serious psychiatric, spiritual and emotional issues. Probably bullied in school and absent parenting (both tragic) these misfits are taking their misguided anger out on society. They need some serious specialized help, but sadly it seems that many going into these helping fields are just like them. BTW, I love Victor David Hanson, and am reading one of his books.

A significant portion are bored, brainwashed millenials with no job prospects (not too many companies recruiting Queer Studies majors) and too much time on their hands. They’ve also been told repeatedly by parents and teachers how “special” they are, so naturally anything they do (breaking windows, looting, vandalism, etc.) must be morally justifiable simply because they did it.

They’re spoiled, whiny brats who were never told no by their parents. They’re remnants of the self-esteem movement, and believe the world revolves around them. No set of values to speak of except for the cultural outrage of the moment. Few notable skills except social media and demonstrating. Their parents and their schools failed them, but they are now adults and need to start taking responsibility for their own lives instead of blaming everyone else.

It helps explain a lot. Stark contrast to how most of us were raised!

          Two questions:

1.How do you battle a thought process that is so ingrained in people?

2.This helps explain why millenials are this, but what about those in the 40+ group who act like this? Wouldn’t you think these are people who should know better? So are the older woke true believers? Grifters and ambitious types placating millenials for their own advantage? People with mental/emotional issues? I’m genuinely curious.

“The elections of 1930 marked the breakthrough of the National Socialists. The SA brownshirts were marching through the streets and engaging in pitched battles with the Red Front fighters of the Communist Party and with the defenders of the republic. The political center, the world of reason and compromise, was ground to dust. The political scene was charracterized by militant camps.” This passage from a book on the rise of the Nazi Party describes all too accurately the state of our nation today; our own version of the brownshirts are the BLM thugs and their brainwashed followers. And we all know what happened a couple of years later.

While your beat your chests the rot of our current political ruling class is destroying our judicial system. Manafort is free. Cohen was freed, but acted stupidly. Flynn is still walking around. Now Stone goes free. All convicted. All get to walk away and enjoy the good life. Barr is corrupt; period. These are some of the reasons our country is going to hell. No problem throwing people in prison for years over a pot crime; but if your a rich, connected trump butt-licker you have nothing to worry about. This is what makes people angry. Two systems; one for the current ruling class-one for the rest of us peasants. The country will pay a high price for us letting this criminal organization run unchecked.

One will note the concern the left exhibits over standards of justice is somewhat situational. Such as when a certain old broad got a pass on making an end run around official records and classified information laws. Then there’s the support of political violence. Rioting is apparently not a problem if driven by the correct ideology. In St. Louis, a mob of savages attacking praying Catholics passes without note from the leftist DA. While a couple protecting their home are treated as public enemies.

This has nothing to do with justice. This is weaponizing the justice system to achieve political ends. Their screeching is because they lost, not because they have moral and ethical standards.

It also bears remembering that they were entirely supportive of the previous administration releasing terrorists. In short; screw ’em, enjoy the screeching.
