Blaska’s Bottom Line: Democrats tried to take the moral high ground; despite the connivance of the news media and the intelligence community, few voters were fooled. Donald Trump just got clearance to pardon the January 6 insurrectionists.

I’m not surprised. The Biden crime family will do just about anything. I agree all the January 6th people will be pardoned now.
And you think that without the Hunter Biden pardon that Donald Trump would not try to pardon all of those with insurrection and seditious actions behind their name?

“They now also believe that his own DOJ that allowed serious tax evasion charges to expire (Hunter did not report his $1 million+ salary from Burisma to the IRS), who gave him a sweetheart deal that even the Democratic judge couldn’t stomach, and who tried to sweep a gun felony under the rug was ‘politically persecuting’ his son. They believe that hiding income that owed $1.3million+ from the government isn’t something the IRS normally prosecutes.”

If my lay understanding of the law is correct, Young Mr. Biden is free from future prosecution. Therefore can he no longer invoke the 5th Amendment to avoid self incrimination under oath, like in Congressional hearings into his father’s and his uncle’s illegal dealings?

I take exception with how you think history will view President Biden, keeping in mind that his administration had more bipartisan pieces of legislation signed into law than anyone since Lyndon Johnson. Nobody knows how history will judge a president, Harry Truman is a prime example. When it comes to transformative policy everything from infrastructure to green energy will be remembered as a positive aspect to his time in office along with how he dealt with the closing phases of Covid, bringing chip manufacturing back to the United States, and defending democracy. Finally, nobody believes that Biden gives license to Donald Trump to act in the autocratic ways that we know he desires. Nobody ever has accused Trump of the mindful of the American Constitution. Then there are the absolutely absurd and unqualified individuals nominated for cabinet and administration positions who have a declared bullhorn approach to retribution and the destruction of our national institutions. And you’re complaining about Hunter Biden‘s pardon?
