Thanks for reminding why we are Republicans!
If Blaska were not already a Republican, the idiots picketing Tom Tiffany’s campaign appearance this Sunday in Madison would make him one. A gaggle of bullhorn blowers chanted their rhyming slogans at volume 11 outside his event as if such juvenilia made the case for anything other than pity.
Why do progressives do that? These people disrupt (or attempt to do so) Trump rallies, which only help make his point. They heckle Jerry Seinfeld, topple statues of Civil War heroes, and turn Madison Common Council meetings into a mosh pit. Seriously, when is the last time a Republican picketed a Democrat’s rally?
Crowley is a progressive
Try as he might to avoid the label, The Capital Times of Madison WI outed the Democrat running for Wisconsin governor: “Vote for David Crowley and [the] progressive slate on Tuesday.” There you have it: the Milwaukee County exec is a progressive and so his slate. Posing with farmers in the barnyard cannot disguise that inconvenient fact. Your father’s Democrat(ic) party died in Dallas.
One would think that even MadTown would have had its fill of progressivism, given the raging lunatics bending a knee to a chronic criminal like the Exceptional Corey Ruiz. The progressive mayor and city council can’t even run an orderly meeting.
Democrats are the party of Francesca Hong, Abdul El Sayed, Ilhan Omar, and various Bernie brothers. The party of “From the River to the Sea.” Drivers licenses for illegal immigrants. Free computer tablets for prisoners. Open borders. Boys in the girls’ room. Down with Thanksgiving. Government groceries. All that gets tamped down during election campaigns. Watch it burst into flame if Democrats win the government trifecta this Tuesday, November 3.
Tax you very much
After blowing a hole through the treasury with Joe Biden, the party has discovered “affordability.” By which they mean, more Free Stuff. Free child care, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, free graduate school, a $20 minimum wage (thereby pricing teenagers out of the job market), and a guaranteed income. Reparations are not far down the list.
Affordability? Mr. Crowley’s Milwaukee County has the highest effective property tax rate (taxes as a percentage of home value) in the state. The steepest sales tax.
Democrats will “fully fund” our K-12 schools. What in hell does that mean? At what dollar figure will schools be “fully funded.” The teachers unions will let us know. Who does the “fully funding?” The State of Wisconsin! Where school budgets will be mixed like peas and mashed potatoes in with your income tax — withheld undetected from your biweekly paycheck. In any event, there is NO correlation between spending and student achievement.
Who voted against sending another $315 million for special education and an additional $300 million on general school aid as part of a $1.8 billion taxpayer relief bill? Democrats! What party preached Defund Police (now abridged to “reimagine policing”)? Democrats!
Who required schools to teach phonics, the one proven pedagogy? Republicans! Who told the Dept. of Public Instruction to quit cooking school test scores? Republicans. Who uncovered the graft and corruption in the state universities’ DEI scam? Republicans. Who gave a lifeline for black parents escaping Milwaukee’s failed schools? Republicans!
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Blaska’s Law of Politics #219: If you need a bullhorn to be heard you have nothing worth hearing.
