There will be no Democrat kumbaya in Wisconsin

Crowley’s comeback for the ages gives Democrats a real chance.

WOW! Just WOW! No one saw Hong/Crowley turning out this close! Looks like the Democrat(ic) party’s establishment stepped in like adults at the high school kegger to assure that Democrats fielded a candidate capable of beating Tom Tiffany. With David Crowley’s comeback for the ages, they just might. The guy is an inspiration for drop outs everywhere!

Bad news for Tiffany. He wanted Hong; Republicans wanted Hong. Hong was a national punch line. A Halloween haunted house of spooky Tweets.

Blaska predicted Francesca Hong would get 39.5 percent of the primary election vote; the little firebrand took 39.3% — and that’s with an unknown number of Republican crossovers (like Blaska). We thought that would be enough to win. We under-estimated David Crowley, predicting him at 30.5% — not his winning 39.8 percent. A mere 3,760 votes separated them. Recount!

Just two weeks ago, the Marquette Law School poll showed Hong at 38% to 16% for — not Crowley, who limped back into the race with just 7 percent — but for Mandela Barnes! Then Barnes dropped out of the race just two days after the poll. Hmmm, said Blaska, stroking his chinnie chin chin. If Barnes is rewarded with a plum job by Governor Crowley, we’ll know what fix was in.

Got to think Crowley inherited every inch of Barnes’ support — they’re both black men from Milwaukee. Crowley, (paradoxically) may have gotten a boost by dropping out and then, 10 days later, parachuting back into the field with the support of the governor. Made the news.

A party divided cannot win

We cannot see Hong’s supporters making nice with Crowley any more than many of Crowley’s supporters would have broken a sweat for Hong, who is a Democratic Socialist, not a Democrat anyway. Mainstream Democrats like Madison mayor Dave Cieslewicz had already promised to sit out the general election if Hong won.

“I’m now a never-socialist Democrat.” — a former Madison mayor

Hong‘s pro-Hamas Marxists will not compromise their rigid ideological purity to bend a finger for the hated establishment candidate, Crowley. The Democratic party (and Western civ) is their enemy. They will carry the same resentments that Bernie Sanders, John Nichols, and The Nation readers hold for the Chuck Schumer wing. Would Hong have won if Bernie had stumped for her?

Anyone else think Gov. Tony Evers and WI Democratic party chairman Devin Remiker lent their voter I.D. lists and other party apparatus on behalf of Crowley? When will the late campaign money drop — probably seven figures — from the Democratic Governors Assn be reported? Also got to think the liberal news media — especially CNN and the New York Times — ballyhooed every stupid tweet Hong ever wrote (which is pretty much all of them) to clear the field for someone electable in November. Never good to be a national punch line.

“It turns out hot takes about cancelling Thanksgiving does not go over so easily … defund police, abolish U.S. Senate and even saying that Halloween should also be canceled. Voters are talking about them and many don’t like what they heard.”  — Jeff Zeleny reporting from Madison on CNN Monday the day before the election 08-10-26

→ Hasan Piker warns “knives will be out.

Tiffany needed Martin

Not a lot of attention paid to the lieutenant governor’s race on the Republican side. Tom Tiffany, we think, has been hobbled by the defeat of Will Martin at the hands of David Varnum. As a black man from Racine, Martin would have balanced the north woods head of the ticket. Varnum is another self-righteous white Bible thumper from small town Grant County. Oddly, the party convention endorsed Martin and, for secretary of state, Nate Pollnow, who also lost. The GOP nominee, Jay Schroeder, is paranoid MAGA election denier. He wants to run our elections. They’re what’s called “baggage.”

Finally, Hong under-performed in Dane County, which should have been her rocket fuel. She represents downtown Madison in the WI Assembly but took 44.0% compared to Crowley’s 36.7%. As a state senator, Kelda Roys represents three times the number of Madisonians as Hong but got only 10.6% of the county’s Democrat(ic) vote. Pitiful, considering she got the statewide teachers union endorsement.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Ms. Hong’s bullhorn bellowers are just clearing their throats. Progressives will prove to be every bit the election deniers as MAGA. Especially after the post-midnight thumb-drive snafu in Milwaukee. Now the usual MAGA election deniers accuse The Deep State of taking down a sure loser. The truth is that 60.6% of Democrats didn’t want socialism or late-stage Woke. At least, not as in-your-face as Francesca Hong. Her supporters, we believe, will sit this one out.

Who knew Tony Evers would be a kingmaker?

Crowley owes a huge thank you to Kara Spencer.

Can’t help but think Madison liberals frustration with the encampment/cancellations played a part in this.

Next up: Who the F*** is David Crowley?

Which idiot from the Republican party approved
/led the attacks on Hong in a democrat primary?
Why attack the one candidate that Tiffany could beat?
    Someone should be fired.

Fred Clark makes a big comeback in District 7!

No word on him desiring to “smack around” female constituents. I’m sure he’s matured. Right?

If Franny Hong runs for elective office in future, maybe she’ll be ready for prime-time and prepared to talk turkey🦃. (Get it? Thanksgiving?? Pilgrims?? 1621? 😉).

Guessing WI Dems have learned a lesson and will henceforth avoid woo-woo wokeism.

    I won’t be holding my breath…

I have to wonder about the polling. Here in Michigan, El Sayed turned out to be about 9% below what the polls said. Same with Hong as far as I can see. I don’t think the polls are rigged, but they do seem to find the left populations a lot better than they find anyone else.

In any case, I suspect Crowley has a tough challenge. Not so much from Republicans as from the still enormous DSA-inspired factions in the Democratic Party, who may well stay home or vote some other third-party nutcase. They have no loyalty to the Democrats at all. DSA will learn from El Sayed – Hong where to draw the line on openly voicing their vicious hatreds of America and its Jewish overlords. Thanksgiving will be okay, as long as its not thanks for the US Constitution.

Crowley comes across as a plain old democrat, but he fully supports almost all things hong did, he just did not use his social media to spout his radical takes. Defund police , abolish ice, open borders, medicare for all are all things he supports. He mever met a tax increase he did not like. Those are very destructive and radical ideas and in line with what dsa supports.

Since no one else seems willing to raise the question, here goes. Is WI ready for a black governor? It sure wasn’t ready for a black senator (ask Mandela). Ron Johnson had at least as many negatives going for him as TT does, but he won anyway.

I think Tiffany will be working that angle hard. I can imagine the racist tones in the ads already.

Yes, I do think there are enough racists in WI to keep Crowley from winning. What do you think?

I think that it’ll be convenient for leftists to once again scream racism if Crowley loses rather than admit that he wasn’t good enough. Like they did with Barnes against Johnson while ignoring that Barnes was a far-left huckster with a severe Dunning-Kruger affliction.

Hong’s supporters are not election deniers, and they will vote for Crowley. Lots of them already voted for him. The R excitement, money, and crossover voting for Hong gave a clear enough signal, and plenty of people who support her views voted strategically for the Evers pick.

Socialists will have future shots at statewide office, the movement is just beginning. Just look at what our cabal of capitalist oligarchs have provided us and our children, and it’s no surprise that people are looking for a new path.

Please, tell me how Tiffany plans to look out for the little guy against big money interests. He can’t pry his lips off Trump’s butt, but he’s somehow looking out for me? He says it’s time to bring troops home, then votes to keep them at war – a spineless coward! His backstory milking cows doesn’t overcome the fact that he’s given enthusiastic support to unforced choices (tariffs & war) that makes life harder for farmers and makes them more reliant on welfare.

If history doesn’t work, a dose of socialism’s reality, good and hard, makes most swear it off. Even Sweden is waking up and shaking off socialism like fleas.

As for the good that capitalism does, I need look no further than my retirement accounts.

A little Ayn Rand, “selfishness is morality” philosophy? The plantation owners also had great portfolios. Convinced your investment income is morally clean, are you?

Very few people on earth own a stock portfolio. I’m all for increasing that percentage – how about we make it 100%? Trump’s on board, he’s already started public ownership stakes in large corporations. Calling people communists like a slur, then implementing communist policies! Best part of this farce, I’d say!

When has government big or small looked out for anyone. There u go again. It is not that my liberal friends are ignorant, just so much of what they know just isnt so. If anyone believes a politician is looking out for their interests then you are a very lost deluded person. Completely deluded. Equal misery for all is what all democrats support.

Daniel Hoan as Mayor of Milwaukee: a politician that refuses the corruption of the rich can certainly look out for regular people.

Your hopelessness is exactly how you’re being led to feel by our depraved and corrupt ultrarich overlords. Hopeless people don’t seek change, they resign themselves to the corruption.
