Tuesday is the five-year anniversary. January 6 is a date that many of my non-RINO Republicans would rather sweep down the memory hole. The more delusional, subconsciously shamed by that abortive insurrection, concoct grassy knoll scenarios to shift blame and exonerate the guilty.
Trump, so the theory goes, was robbed by Deep State Democrats and also by RINO Republicans who, inexplicably, wanted Joe Biden. Through mechanisms as yet undetected, this motley crew was enlisted from states as diverse as Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. All sworn to secrecy. From lowly election workers to governors, the conspirators maintained radio silence all these five years. What fortitude! Resisted lucrative tell-all book contracts, ignored the entreaties of 60 Minutes producers, no loose talk after being over-served at the airport lounge.
Buried somewhere in 75 minutes of whining about a stolen election and exhorting his listeners to “Fight Like Hell,” the defeated President (perhaps on the advice of attorneys) inserted that tiny asterisk, “peaceful and patriotic.” That is about as exculpatory as a drop of mother’s milk in a vial of hydrochloric acid.

Snatching Nicolas Maduro out of his bed in the middle of far-away Caracas is a TriUMPh of arms and spycraft — without losing a single helicopter! Another perfect 10 after the knock-out blow to Iranian nuclear labs and liquidating Qasem Soleimani. What a contrast with Jimmy Carter’s failed attempt to retrieve our hostages in Tehran! Joe Biden, given his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, can only look on in wonderment.
That Trump would dare such an enterprise has Xi and Vladimir, Kim Jong Un, and the Ayatollah paying attention. That Trump could carry off this daring feat of war and spy craft will cause them to sleep with one eye open. As for precedent, none was set. Russia took Prime Minister Nagy out of Hungary in 1955 and hung him.

The truth is not that strange
January marks a full year of the Trump revenge tour. The President has his people in place: Pam Bondi at Justice, Kash Patel at the FBI, Kristi Noem at Homeland Security, Dan Bongino at … at …, and Sean Trumpitty at Fox. In 12 months, no arrests for the Theft of the Century? No perp walk for Brad Raffensperger? No cuffs for Robin Vos? No cot for Liz Cheney at Gitmo?
MAGA’s bitter enders are restless. They want scalps. Donald Trump told them the 2020 election was stolen. What’s holding up the indictments? France (FRANCE!) caught the Louvre burglars in two weeks. Gullible Truthers justify the release of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers. They blame Nancy Pelosi for engineering January 6!
MAGA cultists never get around to explaining how the old wench might have done so. Nor do they grapple with the implication that their nemesis so brilliantly outsmarted their four-dimensional chess player. (Think of the logistics! Busing in all those Hollywood extras! The rehearsals for the “Hang Mike Pence” chants! Fitting all those MAGA caps! Getting so many of them to cop to guilty pleas!)

Disenfranchise them all!
Election Truthers are frenzy feeding that a few Georgia election workers overlooked counter-signing something called “tabulator tapes” on 315,000 ballots. They want those voters disenfranchised.
The tapes are just one of many redundant checks that include encrypted memory cards, centralized tabulation, audits, and recounts. (More here.) Besides, what is to say that those 315,000 ballots weren’t majority Trump votes?
Sore losers do not want to believe feeble old Joe got 81 million votes. Let’s face it, Democrats used the Covid pandemic to make voting historically easier and then out-hustled Republicans to get them to vote. Legal challenges before the election may have been more efficacious than those lodged after the fact.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: The stolen election lie is a serpent lurking under America’s floor boards.

Personal experience: In April 2020 just before the spring election of I overheard a cell phone conversation at a local car dealership between a weaselly looking political operative talking to someone of higher power. He said “I just got back from Hudson Wisconsin that is where the committee’s headquarters are, and you won’t believe it! They are on our side, they have three of them and three of us and two of them went with us. the other guy is an asshole.” He said again in disbelief, yes I bet you a steak dinner on it. Just after that mail in ballots were allowed to be sent to everywhere. Just after that Protasiewicz was overwhelmingly elected to the supreme court. Next thing you know there is a ruling that Democracy in the Park is okayed for voter awareness and registration. They actually collected ballots and turn them in and they were accepted. Over 20,000 between Madison and Milwaukee. 400 million in Zuckerbucks money, mail in ballots laying on apartment floors all over Wisconsin, 2 million registered voter that have moved, died or don’t exist. I am sure the other swing states had similar operations, that’s why people protested and still believe this election was stolen at the grass roots level. To ignore this to promote faith in our election process is whistling pass the grave.
Pioneering, I think you’re on to something. However, you might have mentioned this smoking gun cell phone conversation earlier than 5+ years after the fact. Like you, I heard that 5 years ago (January 2, 2021) some guy called the Georgia Secretary to State to ask him to find 11,780 Trump votes to overturn Biden’s narrow (and surely fraudulent) victory. Then Rudy Giuliani accused 2 Georgia election officials of adding fake ballots during the counting process. Oops, that was a $148 million mistake. After failing to find Chinese bamboo among the thousands of fraudulent ballots in Maricopa County, Arizona, the Republican-backed recount largely matched the certified results that showed that Biden was a narrow winner. It is so frustrating: We KNOW that the 2020 election was a fraud, but we just can’t prove it. But don’t give up. I’m eagerly look forward any your new thoughts on this. It’s only a matter of time before that RINO Blaska is forced to eat crow.
I did try to tell Vicki McKenna but she didn’t respond, probably her and Rino Blaska are an item. When you were looking around Georgia did find out why all the windows were covered and anything about the suit cases under the table after the water leak sent everybody home? Maybe something in Philadelphia were the union workers were working over time off the record unloading trucks of ballots after the polls had closed. I still can’t understand why Chris Wallace would call Arizona 10 minutes after the polls closed and apparently Fox News couldn’t either. The bag man was in Georgia but had to stop by Nevada to pick up the Chinese money coming in from Wuhan. And to think that we were all outsmarted by Joe Biden!

Democracy in the Park as practiced was not legal. They took votes and turned them in and they were counted.
I repeat: Democracy in the Park was one of those practices that should have been challenged BEFORE voting, not afterward. Would you really disenfranchise voters who were told they could cast their ballots that way? In any event, those ballots were cast by actual, real voters. Trump lost WI in 2020. The election was not stolen. His lies precipitated January 6. Are you following this?

So, you don’t believe Biden was cognitively compromised because you haven’t seen hard evidence of it (imaging studies, neuropsych testing, Etc) despite what your eyes/ears/gut tell you. It also comes down to how you define “hard”. I recall media reports of above stated misbehaviors. I’ve seen/read/heard enough to believe most of it is true. Cheating, cancel culture and violence are all earmarks of the left. Why defy your gut feel on this?
Nice try Kooter, but we were not talking about evidence that Joe Biden had dementia, We were not talking about evidence that Mark Zuckerberg spent millions of dollars directed at Democrat strongholds, We were talking about EVIDENCE of voter or voting fraud. I have no doubt you have consumed copious writings, podcasts and internet musings on the subject, perhaps even “enough to believe most of it is true.” But the entire purpose of evidence is to demonstrate to everybody else that it is, in fact, true and not just your gut feeling. So be happy that you have convinced yourself and leave it at that. I’ll change my mind when I see credible evidence, not just a theory or statistical extrapolation.

Some so-called J6ers have even begun to ask why, after nearly a year in power, Mr. Trump’s law enforcement agencies have yet to provide any proof of the conspiracy theory they promoted to help him reclaim the presidency: that deep-state agents lured Trump supporters into storming the Capitol to derail the MAGA movement and justify political reprisals.

The only death during this whole fiasco was Ashli Babbitt, she was murdered just after three guards mysteriously disappeared by a Capitol police office who was considered a hero by the left.
