President Trump has pardoned 77 individuals who supposedly tried to overturn the 2020 election that he lost to Joe Biden. Those prospectively pardoned include Wisconsin’s 10 “fake electors” and Trump’s Wisconsin attorney, retired Judge James Troupis, who prepared an alternate slate of electors should he prevail in Trump’s legal challenges.
They are among such names as Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Sidney Powell, Boris Ephsteyn, and former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows. The Wisconsin names include attorney Kenneth Chesebro and and Mike Roman, who allegedly delivered the list to a congressman from Pennsylvania in order to get them in the hands of Vice President Mike Pence.
The presidential pardon does NOT void the state prosecution brought by WI Attorney General Josh Kaul against Troupis, Chesebro, and Roman. But it does preclude possible prosecution after Trump leaves the White House
The alternate Wisconsin electors pardoned Sunday are former WI GOP chairman Andrew Hitt, Bill Feehan, Kelly Ruh, Carol Brunner, former Dane County GOP chairma Scott Grabins, Kathy Kiernan, Darryl Carlson, Pam Travis, and national committee woman Mary Buestrin.
