Can’t the social justice people just get along?

The bureaucracy from hell!

Whether people drawn to that line of work are litigious by nature or they just identify as chronic victims, we don’t know. Probably a case of being both a breath mint and a floor wax. But Norman Davis, the director of the City of Madison Department of Civil Rights, twists slowly in the wind after 10 unnamed (aren’t they always) of his employees accused the black man of misconduct, discrimination, and harassment. And the obligatory “hostile work environment.” 37 total pages of righteous bitching! (Read & Weep.)

If we had to guess which government bureau would throw the dung of discrimination complaints at each other, it would be the government bureaucracy charged with ferreting out discrimination. It’s everywhere! Civil rights bureaucrats put the coke into Woke. The magic ingredient is listed in its mission statement: “racial equity.” Not equal rights or equal opportunity but “equity” — aka, equality of results. Madison also enforces “social justice” and “environmental justice.” All defined according to the stink eye of the beholder.

The Department of Civil Rights vigorously pursues the policies and principles of affirmative action, equal opportunities, disability rights, racial equity, social justice, and environmental justice as an employer and as a community of people who respect the rights and the contributions of every community member. — City Budget, Page 43

 The equity of guilt

Anyone remember Toriana Pettaway? Madison’s former “equity coordinator for the Racial Equity and Social Justice Initiative.” The mere title instills the same feeling of dread as being asked to return to the doctor’s office after a blood test.

Mizz P ordered all department heads, elected officials, agency budget contacts, and mayoral staff to attend Racial Equity and Social Justice training. Time to get your mind right, like the captain would say in Cool Hand Luke. If Blaska is a Madison alder, he submits a note from his pastor excusing him on religious grounds. We’re willing to believe in the virgin birth but not critical race theory.

Six years ago, Mizz P ran for mayor while employed by the City. Submitted 217 nominating signatures. The city requires 200 but 18 of her signers didn’t even live in Madison, thereby disqualifying the petulant candidate. Not skilled in taking responsibility, Ms. Pettaway played the race card — “some White Supremacy BS” in the city clerk’s office — for her fuk-up. At some point, Mr. Davis dunned Ms. Pettaway for insubordination and we haven’t heard from her since. Small favors.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Taxpayers will pay outside pathologists $30,000 to sort out the recriminations at the Madison Department of Civil Rights. In the meantime, the reality is that director Davis is guilty until proven innocent. That’s how Woke works. The real outrage is that Madison’s Civil Rights Department costs taxpayers $2.67 million and employs not just 10 but 21 worker bees.

Was Elon really that bad?

Madison WI has a tremendous number of psychopaths. The signs are everywhere! It probably ranks high, among world cities, for the number of psychopaths per capita. This fact alone makes it very attractive to a certain segment of the population, when they are looking for somewhere to relocate.

******Dammit! What’s with this “Talk To Text” feature? Every time I say “cycle paths” it prints something else. And you all keep reading and nodding? Why didn’t somebody say something?

For a one-party town, Madison has seen some internecine nastiness lately. Not that I’m complaining–it’s endlessly entertaining to watch the little dramas involving the City Clerk who can’t count ballots, the Civil Rights director who harasses his underlings, the bus drivers who fear for their safety. All in a city that can’t congratulate itself often enough for its blind adherence to progressive “values.”

BS. Where’s the social justice for the poor and elderly who get their Medicaid and food assistance cut so you rich folks get your tax cuts. Those gutless maggots in DC should all be kicked out on their fat lying asses. Starting with Dementia Don.
