Democrats double down on failure

Party poobahs need to wear a doggie cone!

Wisconsin Democrats were hoping their own Ben Wikler would be chosen chairman of the Democratic National Committee. But not even $250,000 from George Soros’ billionaire son could pull their state chairman over the finish line this past weekend. Democrats instead elected the state chairman responsible for Tim Walz in Minnesota, some guy named Ken Martin. (Snore.)

The Wall Street Journal labeled Democrats’ new national chairman as “a fresh face but same old Democrats.” The five candidates appeared, presidential debate style, before a panel of — get this! — three MSNBC hosts! They couldn’t get Bill Maher?

As Doc Brown asked in Back to the Future, who’s the DNC vice president, Jerry Lewis? Almost. Democrat delegates elected David Hogg, America’s version of that whiny environmentalist, Greta Thunberg. Not a former congressman or state party chairman but a hectoring 24-year-old know-it-all who wants the NRA declared a terrorist organization, advocates defunding police, and wants to abolish I.C.E. The winning formula, but only in places like Madison, Ann Arbor, and Martha’s Vineyard.

As the would-be leaders bickered over party mechanics, the very pathologies that many critics argue have alienated Democrats from the American heartland were on display: a party captive to leftist activists, obsessed with divisive litmus tests, out of touch with regular people’s concerns, and in thrall to a patronizing identity politics that alienates many of the very minorities it is meant to attract. Nor did anyone dare to argue that the prior administration’s failures might have contributed to voters’ sour view of Democrats, that former President Joe Biden dragged the party down or that former Vice President Kamala Harris was a mediocre candidate. — Wall Street Journal

 Old habits, hard to break

The left-leaning Atlantic magazine is frustrated. “Democrats show why they lost,” Jonathan Chait laments. “The party has largely ceded [messaging] to a collection of progressive activist groups. These groups, funded by liberal donors, seldom have a broad base of support among the voting public. … Climate groups, for instance, define what good climate policy means.”

Among “multiple shrieking interruptions,” delegates bitched that only one at-large seat was set aside for a transgender. (Surprised a seat wasn’t reserved for an illegal alien!)

Wikler, the boy wonder of Wisconsin, gets credit for turning the state supreme court 4 to 3 liberal and for re-electing Tony Evers and Tammy Baldwin. But this purple state went for Trump and Ron Johnson in the same cycles. Fatally, Wikler ran interference for the senescent and unpopular Joe Biden by kicking challengers like Dean Phillips (he tried to warn them!) off Wisconsin’s primary ballot.

As for young master Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 school shooting in Parkland FL, “Despite the horrific experience he endured,” Chait writes, “he does not seem to be notably wise beyond his years.” At least, Wisconsin’s Jason Rae was re-elected secretary of the DNC. Rae, of Glendale, serves as president & CEO for the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: We used to say that Democrats were Republicans’ worst adversaries except for Republicans themselves. Unless Trump’s tariffs against Canada and Mexico hogg (sorry) voters’ attention, Democrats will be the gift that keeps on giving.

Who could give Democrats a wake-up call?

Hogg??? Holy cow, what a joke. Hey, what if Hogg and Thunberg had a child? Would it more closely resemble Bernie Sanders or Liz Warren? Or maybe our own Franseca Hong??

While likely not a decision entirely his own, Li’l Davie Hogg has vowed not to have kids, making he Human Gene Pool the big winner, here.

Who could give Democrats a wake-up call?

In keeping with a self-imposed terminal velocity trip down the Highway to Hell, howse about Dank Demoss, a true…er…heavy who could really shake things up by throwing her…um…weight around

Nice to see Democrats are doing their best to make sure that Trumpism flourishes well beyond Trump’s second term. I like to think I have a reasonably active imagination, but whenever I try to imagine what it must be like to be a Ken Martin or a David Hogg, I run right up against a brick wall. Oddly, neither of these specimens would seem to qualify as “marginalized” (i.e., secular sainthood) by Democrat standards. Wonder how they overcame that hurdle. As for young Master Hogg not seeming “wise beyond his years,” what does wisdom have to do with it? Just spout the same tiresome claptrap about climate change and systemic racism and transphobia, etc., etc. and you’ve got what passes for wisdom among Democrats of the Madison, Ann Arbor, Martha’s Vineyard variety.

Platinum Subscribers should count their blessings, bd; The Werkes hums along like a finely tuned Chevy Small Block V-8 when (to borrow a phrase), “that loser doughnut boy” isn’t polluting it with offensively off-topic, imbecilically inane, slovenly slobbering, Lefty gibberish.

Serious question: Is the Democrats’ failure to learn from getting steamrolled in November the result of:

    A. Incompetence
    B. Arrogance
    C. Insanity
    D. All of the above

Give a listen to the current DNC chair explaining the rules on which gender must be voted in for the quotas required by the DNC. It is the sort of Scientific Socialism that could only come from a coven of credentialed cat ladies loaded with ze/zir/zem pronouns. After all of which they wind up with two white beta males.
Its a pity no one but the DNC appreciates their wisdom, their world view and their planet of origin.

Maybe the childless cat ladies should invent anew set of pronouns: mew/meow/purr?

I used to think Dean Phillips was a good Democrat. Then he swallowed the Kamala fiction hook line and sinker. He’s dead to me.

Fetterman? He may go full MAGA once he sees all the corruption Elon is uncovering (and deleting).

And Elon will win. He’s got a huge advantage as he’s moving at the speed of business while the Schumers and McConnells are moving at the speed of Government.

Lefty’s in full panic mode, (neighborsnextdoor [THEY Report/YOU Decide] is proof positive), and panicky creatures don’t think clearly.

Yesterday’s mail suggests you’ve conceded our bet; that the case?

    How it really works:

imagine a DOD laboratory, submits a $20m funding request (via their Program Office (PMO) or Director) for a BS reason that doesn’t actually exist to the Pentagon. The officer at the Pentagon is briefed about the effort by corrupt beauracrates that will end up with a portion of the money in their bank accounts.
    2) Pentagon puts the funding in the FYDP (DOD budget) and money is sent to the corrupt beauracrates that put the false request in (absconding of money). These corrupt PMO beauracrates award a “support contract” to the people who briefed (lied) to the pentagon so they can all just hang out in Georgetown for a living and take vacations together for free (“official government travel to a conference”, i.e. like the yearly “Shot Show” in Vegas that just happens to line up with the “Porn Convention”).
    3) Now the important part; imagine all the numbers in the EIN chart are actually “Funding Documents” sent to the “Laboratory” but when you try to find out what money populated what project (i.e. JON, (Job Order Number)) the lines are missing. The lines are missing because between the PMO and the Laboratory there is another corrupt beauracrate that manages an excel spreadsheet on her local computer that “washes” the Funding Document numbers into the Job Order Numbers (JON), this one person is the only one with the “key” and from outside the Lab nobody even knows who this person is. Hint, she’s the one that shows up late, takes two hour lunch breaks, talks continuously at the water cooler, is guaranteed yearly pay increases/bonuses and will someday be working at the PMO.
    4) The “supervisors” at the Lab (by now the only way to be a supervisor is to be a corrupt beauracrate that plays along) decide they want to go to Vegas and take some of their “favorite” people with them (i.e. their replacements) but unfortunately they don’t have the funding, no problem, they get with the spreadsheet holder and she just gives the another JON to charge their travel to, problem solved.
    5) While everyone is in Vegas on “government business” one of the support contractors that actually, sort of, do some shitty development work for the “Government Officials” sits down with the government guy that helped secure his contract at the blackjack table and just casually slides a stack of chips over to him. You see this Government guy is used to that sort of thing because his mommy has actually worked an entire career at the same lab, which isn’t a big deal because when you actually look at the workforce and find a measurable amount of the “untouchables” are either married or related (nepotism).
Anyone that either produces a viable product or has a sliver of honor is considered a threat. The “viable product guy” is a threat because his efficient expenditure of money actually removes money from the “Vegas travel fund” and well, honor…they’ll be none of that.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of NPC’s on what amounts to a “jobs program” under these powerbrokers that will be groomed from for future staffing or termination.
One more thing, if that “Officer at the Pentagon” ever needs a cushy job after Military Retirement he’ll be helped out as long as he plays along.

Despite a learning curve flatter’n Miss Jane Hathaway, has Lefty learned anything from getting embarrassingly pasted three (3) months ago today?

    Not Exactly.

MONEY QUOTE: The insistence on continuity is baffling given that THE PARTY’S REPUTATION IS IN TATTERS. A recent New York Times/Ipsos poll found many see the democrat Party’s priorities as out of touch with their own. In a Quinnipiac University poll last month, 57% of respondents had UNFAVORABLE VIEWS OF THE democrat PARTY–THE WORST SINCE QUINNIPIAC BEGAN ASKING THIS QUESTION IN 2008 (bolds/caps/italics mine)

What does this mean? The fact-based Reality juuuuuuust isn’t that into Lefty!

It’s almost too much to take……almost………
