Break the teachers union &
Democrat monopoly on education!
There is joy in Mudville. Or, at least, hope. Saints be praised, we have a candidate for superintendent of public instruction who is not more Woke than the MSNBC break room.

We have a candidate who is not a wholly owned subsidiary of the teacher union or a wind-up toy for the Democrat(ic) party. Her name is Brittany Kinser out of Wauwatosa.
After teaching in both Chicago and Japan, Ms. Kinser launched the IIT Math and Science Academy in Chicago, which emphasized STEM education. In 2012, the candidate served as an assistant principal in California before relocating to Milwaukee, where she served as first principal and then executive director of a network of charter schools. Most recently, she held the position of CEO and president of City Forward Collective and CFC Action Fund in Milwaukee.
Ms. Kinser holds a master’s degree in education from Columbia University. Here’s her rather boilerplate quote:
We must prioritize reading, writing, math, and science to provide the foundation for meaningful careers and a bright future. The kids — and their future — should be the number one priority!
Superintendents of Public Instruction oversee the Department of Public Instruction, a supposedly non-partisan office. It’s currently held by JIll Underly, who is a subsidiary of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. And a dogmatic proponent of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Don’t know what Ms. Underly did to piss off the teachers union but its political action committee is fielding a challenger, Jeff Wright, superintendent of the Sauk Prairie public schools.
WisPolitics quotes Kinser as being a “blue dog Democrat,” which is about as good as we’re going to get. In other words, more Joe Manchin than Rachel Maddow. WI Republican National Committeewoman Pam Travis endorses Kinser, if that helps.
Download Brittany’s nomination paper here and mail it by January 4 to Amy Loudenbeck, W4766 State Line. Rd, Walworth WI 53184. A spring primary election Tuesday February 18 will whittle the field of three down to two for election on April 1, 2025.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Democrats and teachers unions are a wrestling tag team taking turns to dumb down education in service of guilt-based critical race theory. What’s more, Brittany Kinser is a friend of school choice, unlike Underly and Wright.

“Can we save Wisconsin’s public schools?”
We MUST! At the risk of using a mind numbingly, fatuous Lefty catch-phrase: It’s For The Children!”
“36.7% of MMSD students are chronically absent (compared to 22.7% statewide) (it’s) WORSE FOR BLACK CHILDREN, 6 OF EVERY 10 ARE AWOL” (bolds/caps/italics mine)
MMSD’s ideological monoculture and racialized approach to INDOCTRICATION and victimhoodie deserves mention
90 miles/~145 kms to the east: Fewer Than 15% Of Milwaukee Public Schools 4th- and 8th-Grade Students Were Proficient In Reading And Math In 2022
Sheesh! If those aren’t wake-up calls, what are?

The Gotch
The progressive left call this progress.
Care to speculate what would happen to the WESconsin’s educational Report Card and its absenteeism/truancy figures if you deleted Madison & Milwaukee’s…um…results?
The Gotch
Never fear, the educrats will just keep lowering the standards till every illiterate graduate of the Madison/Milwaukee public schools is indisputably above average (it’s called the Lake Woebegone Principle of education).
If you think you have problems now wait till Rump and McMahon take over. Shut down the Dept of Education, cut funding, turn everything over to the states and parents. Let’s see how well this golden girl works without federal money and dealing with all these parents. The same parents you run down in this blog. Don’t like your taxes; do without the fed money and see where that takes you. McMahon ran for US Senate twice in Connecticut, spent 98 million and lost both times. Looks like all those millions in Dump donations are paying off with a big job. Another 76-year-old with too much money and no experience running the Dept of Education; what could possibly go wrong. At least you won’t have to finance any libraries after they burn all the books.
“No experience running the Dept of Education” sounds like the minimum requirement for the job. A sure-fire disqualifier is anyone who thinks Blaska’s blog runs down parents or who mistakes the Education Department’s money as any help at all to either those parents or their kids. Kinzer’s “reading, writing, math, and science” are of little interest to the DEI- and Title IX obsessed educrats of the current Federal Education Department. Have you checked out national reading achievement levels lately to see how much the Feds have helped lately.
Now tell us about your vast experience raising and educating your children.
Maybe you should check on your own reading skills. I didn’t single out Dave. I do remember many posts about the parenting of school kids. A day without crotch trying to insult me is like a day without sunshine.
“Shut down the Dept of Education, cut funding, turn everything over to the states and parents.”
Damn right. Parents care about their children’s education far more than the DOE bureaucrats do. Deep six the DOE, turn that savings over to the states, and let them run their own ships. My money is on that they can do it better.
“Don’t like your taxes; do without the fed money and see where that takes you.”
Because throwing more money at the problem has worked so well. The U.S. spends more money on education than almost any other country and still ranks middle of the pack on math and science proficiency. Trump and Congress can start addressing the issue by bulldozing the teachers’ unions like the Bear’s offensive line. While not the only culprit, they’re a huge part of the problem.

LUV the smell of imbecility being b!tchslapped into the cheap seats!
And the pitiably pathetic Bi-Polar bare metaphor of abject failure?
Priceless!

Isn’t this where you start slobbering about “single parent households”? “Absent fathers?” You know as well as I do that none of this blabbering from Dump is going to happen. Feed the MAGA fools, create a little chaos, let his doners make a pile of money, give out some cushy jobs, then play golf. If Dump takes over the Panama Canal and buys Greenland, I will kiss your A$$ on the courthouse lawn at high noon on the fourth of July.

RIP JIMMY CARTER
She’s run a network of charter schools and her committee chair is on “State Line Road.” She wrote her opposition research herself! She’s a grifter from Chicago!
