Is A-I censoring my blogge?
Maybe we are naive (shut up!), but the Werkes is not given to conspiracy mongering. Our limited interest in grassy knolls extends to how they are mowed, nothing else. Those contrails in the sky are not sapping our precious bodily fluids. And, for gawd’s sakes, leave Ray Epps in peace! In other words, we shave with Occam’s Razor. (Keeping an open mind that drones over New Jersey may be advancing an imminent Russian invasion.)
But what deep-state cabal took down Blaska’s 12/11/24 post documenting the defense case of retired judge Jim Troupis, who represented Donald Trump’s 2020 election court challenges here in Wisconsin? (“Jim Troupis was ‘Team Normal’“) Was it CIA? Peter Strzok and Christopher Steele? Kammy and Tammy? Ben Wikler? Or is this the work of artificial intelligence, harnessed for evil? A dark and twisted Facebook algorithm programmed by Mark Zuckerberg at the instigation of the Hildabeast and the DNC? A-I of the kind that locked astronaut Dave out of the pod bay doors? The Werkes was blocked once before for similarly fuzzy reasons. Despite being promised a response, the borg maintains silence.
We are following Facebook’s procedures to appeal its latest Kafka-esque censorship, again without human contact. We are arguing with The Machine. If we do get an answer, we expect it to be along the lines of:
I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.

→ Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes is a finalist for that job in Seattle WA.
SPAM? (!!!) The boilerplate Facebook “explanation” says merely that “It looks like you tried to get likes, follows, shares, or video views in a misleading way.” Huh? (!!!) WHAT? 🥸 Those accusations describe the average political campaign commercial. The blogge in question, “Jim Troupis was ‘Team Normal’,” which detailed the legal standing of alternate slates of electors in law and historic practice, was throughly sourced from privileged sources (court documents). How is that “misleading”?
Blaska’s Bottom Line: We can find no other outlet that so thoroughly presented Judge Troupis’ defense to the court of public opinion as Wednesday’s blogge. Surely, that First Amendment exercise is protected political speech on an important issue facing our democratic republic!

Censorship
You can count on me for “likes”, Squire. Try posting your Facebook predicament on Turley’s comment section. Responses should be interesting. (A naive approach, maybe).
Try to repost it and see if it happens again….or send me the text and I will post it and see if it also happens to me……
Keep up the good work on this issue!
I just tried to post the same link on Twitter and BlueSky and got exactly the same results. Something is amiss behind the scenes for them all to get the same results. Hmmmmm….
I was just going to recommend that Blaska try BlueSky, where The Gotch suspects it, and quite possibly its author, would be…um…ASSANGED faster’n you can say “We…Have A Secure Border”
The Gotch
Nobody can accuse the DB bloggeur extraodinaire of ever doing anything to get likes. More like the total opposite. If you need a character witness, I’m available, but only via Zoom or Skype – suit jacket on top, pjs on the bottom. Well, you know. Down with machines!
Rage against the Machine! That’s why my blog uses no intelligence of any kind, artificial or not.
Dave,
You state: “Even the January 6 Select Committee concluded attorney Troupis’ representation of Donald Trump’s election claims was legitimate. The Liz Cheney committee actually labeled lawyers like Troupis as “Team Normal” as opposed to “Team Giuliani,” the clown car joined by circus acts like John Eastman, Jenna Ellis, and Sydney Powell.”
This is a huge claim. All I asked you is for a citation to the House January 6th Committee report where they in fact make such a statement.
I cannot see any citation for that huge claim in your links, only links to other blogs and an allusion that Troupis is claiming this.
This is serious Dave, because if you can’t come up with a citation to their report — it is on-line!!!! — then you’re going to have to acknowledge you’re going off of Troupis’s claims without checking his.
If we can’t agree on facts, because you refuse to acknowledge that there is no such factual support for this “Team Normal” thing, then we have a real problem. And you will have to ask yourself whether you, too, have been sucked into Trump’s fact devoid world.
PS I read through the report and can tell you that they never even used the words “Team Normal”, nonetheless assigned Troupis to such a category. Let me help you here. The phrase was never used by the Committee. In an interview held with one of Trump’s lawyers, that Trump lawyer said that some of the White House lawyers considered Sidney Powell to be nuts, and that Trump lawyer didn’t consider Troupis to be as crazy as Powell. If Troupis is claiming otherwise, which is not true, then I hope that will help you begin to understand that your friend is grasping for lies to sustain his case. We needn’t argue about this anymore because one thing about court procedures is that they sort out factual bull shit. If you want to take any bets on the verdict, just let me know.
The Executive Summary of the January 6 Select Committee on page 17 does indeed quote campaign manager Bill Stepien to use the term “Team Normal” to differentiate from the Giuliani bunch. The report does not mention Troupis by name but does include the names of attorneys designated Team Giuliani, such as Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, and John Eastman. From the report:
“Campaign General Counsel Matthew Morgan explained that he had conversations with ‘probably all of our counsel who [we]re signed up to assist on election day as they disengaged with the campaign.’ The ‘general consensus was that the law firms were not comfortable making the arguments that Rudy Giuliani was making publicly.’ When asked how many outside firms expressed this concern, Morgan recalled having ‘a similar conversation with most all of them.’”
Harvard Law professor Lawrence Lessig wrote: “Trump’s legal options were not exhausted when electors gathered. … No lawyer for any presidential candidate would ever risk whether Congress would count electoral votes cast on a day other than Electors Day. That’s why in 2020, a lawyer working for Donald Trump, Kenneth Chesebro, recommended to a former Wisconsin Judge, James R. Troupis, that the campaign ensure that in any contested state, Trump electors meet and cast their ballot for Donald Trump.
“Ten of those Wisconsin electors have now agreed, in a settlement of a civil suit, that they were part of a plot to overturn the 2020 election. But importantly, they insisted that at the time they voted, they believed they were voting to assure that if ongoing litigation was resolved in Trump’s favor, their votes would count.“
Ray “We gotta go in there” Epps. Nothing to see here, move along.
And I wish Facebook would be honest about it:
“It looks like you might be a conservative…”
Free Speech X is where you need to be!
I can’t stand Facebook. But don’t worry you rascal…I’ll still give ya likes.
It’s real funny that after four years this has suddenly blown up into a real big deal. Ten people have settled and moved on, but now Troupis jumps up to stir the pot. What’s the agenda? Someone running for office? Is he looking for a job from trump? Dave asking people to show up at the courthouse for him? Biden won. Now he’s leaving. Are you trying to change the state law? Bored? I’ve watched this political s@#t for many years and I know there’s a snake hidden somewhere close by. Sooner or later he’s going to show himself and bite someone right in the nuts. Make sure it ain’t you.
You’ve got it backward. Four years later, Josh Kaul charges Troupis with multiple felonies. Troupis is certainly not “jumping up to stir the pot.” He’s fighting for his freedom and reputation.
I think after 4 years his freedom and reputation is still intact. This whole thing is a bunch of BS to try and make Schimel look the bad guy. Biden won and is almost done with his term. Why is this a big problem now? It’s money or an appointment. It always boils down to that. Am I right?
I see we may get a new police chief. Hopefully it will be someone who can give up the real facts regarding crime and not sugar coat it. And, who gives a rats arse about police calls of elderly calls where they pass away. Should be reporting the REAL FACTS OF THE HIGH CRIME IN MADISON.
Get well soon Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi.
