The trail went cold in Iowa

Iowa is next door and just as cold but they don’t have the Packers. Another difference: Iowa is now politically more red than the nose on W.C. Fields at bar time while Wisconsin is trending from purple to blue. Iowa Republicans caucused Monday and my Forever Trump … acquaintances are going Hah Hah!, like that bully kid on The Simpsons.

Wisconsin is a swing state, Iowa is not

Trump won with 51.0% of the Republican caucus vote. A good slice of the disloyal 49% (RINOS! Globalists!) will surrender to the inevitable if Trump is anointed this July in Milwaukee. But what percentage of them will sit on their hands?

Given that the criminal defendant won by the skin of his Electoral College teeth in 2016 and that he lost (look it up!) to sleepy Joe Biden four years ago, even our malfunctioning Eisenhower-era mainframe computer could tell you that the math ain’t working for the Sore Loser In Chief. This dues-paying RINO of 33 years wants to beat Joe Biden but Trump is probably the only candidate the old guy can beat. (Did it once already.) One poll shows Nikki Haley leading Biden by 17 points whereas Trump lies within the margin of error.

Iowa caucus goers

Those who know him best

What should trouble every voter is that the people who know Trump best — the ones who worked for and with him in the White House — say he is unfit for the office. Not wrong but unfit! Over 20 former cabinet-level office holders now actively oppose him. People like attorneys general Bill Barr and Jeffrey Rosen, defense secretaries Jim Mattis and Mark Esper, chiefs of staff Mick Mulvaney and John Kelly, secretaries of state Mike Pompeo and Rex Tillerson. For Chrissakes, Trump’s own vice president!

Did George Bush Sr. go off on Ronald Reagan? Did even one cabinet officer jump ship on Reagan or either of the two Bushes?

Let’s not forget the governors, like Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, Brian Kemp in Georgia, and Kim Reynolds of Iowa. Or former governors, Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie among them. Or White House counsels Patrick Cipollone and Eric Herschman, aides Cassidy Hutchinson and Stephanie Grisham. Or Wisconsin’s own Mike Gallagher and Paul Ryan. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is probably Never Trump, too. We know of more former high-ranking Wisconsin Republicans who are never Trump.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: We know! They’re all RINOs. But we vote — if we find someone worthy of the vote.

As much as I’d love to see Trump get re-elected and poke the establishment in the eye, I agree he’s not electable with the general public. I know too many people who voted for Biden because they couldn’t stand Trump and I have no reason to think those people have changed their minds. We desperately need Biden out of office specifically and progressives to go away in general, but I don’t think Trump is the man to do it.

Kooter, If you truly want to poke the establishment in the eye, start working toward the elimination of the two party system, get a third party or batter yet an unaffiliated person elected so that both parties are forced to be reasonable and realistic instead of counting on team Red or Blue to help them with every initiative.

Sounds great, but unlikely by November

Haley is yet another of the many non-conservative Republicans we’ve been duped into voting for since 2000. I hope DeSantis can break loose, but I’ll vote for Trump before Haley. Not falling for that again.

The only thing that could get me to help re-elect Joe Biden would be Tommy Thompson, Reince Priebus and David Blaska saying they will be voting for Joe Biden.

Otherwise, it’s Trump (and the Green Bay Packers) for the win. And I’m still predicting it will be President Trump in a landslide with his running mate, the great Dr. Ben Carson.

DJT’s election in November is now overwhelmingly probable and getting close to un-losable.

        And Christie for Attorney General

IMO, Christie’s “withdrawal_from_the_race” speech was both heartfelt-n-humble; The Gotch would’ve voted for him.

You folks actually think trump would appoint anyone that opposed him in the primaries? Delusional isn’t strong enough.

          Ben Carson…Housing…?

The Gotch would recommend you try harder, but is acutely aware that making a fool out of yourself is not a bug, but a comically defining feature of your UNskill set.

          “Delusional isn’t strong enough.”

Heh! The deeply viscid irony through which you had to slog to slobber that.

Aren’t you the “One and done. Go Cowpuppies.” guy? The problem with parroting the dubious musings of sports casters and writers is that you get a reputation of wrongness. I would hope that until Green Bay Bears-up a playoff game, all your musings should start with a penitent prose to the green and gold. If the Packers should win their 5th Lombardi Trophy this year, I would expect you to preface all future comments with this or similar mea culpa.

Gallagher is my US Rep. and up here he is staying out of the fray regarding trumps fitness for office. MG had 15 minutes of spine immediately after Jan 6 and has been silent, at least in his district, ever since. How any ex-military person could vote for trump is beyond me, yet there are plenty out there, and I’m sure Mikey will be one if trump is the candidate.

Relax! only 0.5% of the registered voters in Iowa bothered to vote in the Republican caucus so Trumps “Landslide Victory” consisted of 0.27% of the voters in Iowa leaving 99.73% potentially in support of anyone else.
Let me know when he gets so much as 20% of the possible votes in any State!

We voted out one mayor who plowed the bike trails and not the streets, hope the ones who now are waiting for body shops to repair their cars realize our mayor never drives. Solid ice at every stop signs. She does not care, she knows in 3 years she is gone after the over budget spending.

That we did, yet a burning question remains: How does one get their BIKIE through unplowed streets to access the BIKIE Path/Trail/Lane/Boulevard/Bridge system…?
